A gigantic mountain was split in half, crumbling and shattering with a loud thud. The ground trembled and cracked as animals flee from the collapsing debris. Shockwaves generated from the collapse uprooted trees and killed the weaker beasts who were unfortunate enough to be in range.

The perpetrator of this attack reveals himself to be a handsome young man with cold golden eyes and long black hair swaying with the cool wind. His flowing white robes gave off a lofty appearance and his sublime aura confirmed his immortal ident.i.ty. He held a jagged and worn stone sword on his right hand, the tip of its blade pointed towards the mountain's ruins, waiting for its opponent to emerge from the t.i.tanic pile of rubble.

A few moments later, a large, house sized boulder was overturned, a loud thud boomed when it fell once more. A young Nethari emerged, full of cuts and bruises, panting and sweating. He had difficulty standing up from his rocky prison and held his right arm in pain. His white robe was shredded badly and only decency remained of his outfit.

The indifferent immortal floated down in front of the Nethari, as if cornering him in order to deliver the last blow to his foe. Suddenly, he erased his blade in a whim and his expression turned warm, a smile crept up his face. He summoned a vibrant, green light and controlled it to heal the young disciple, removing all the dirt and grime on his durable but damaged body.

The creator stepped forth and clapped his hands for a few seconds, praising his young disciple for his efforts, "Excellent. Truly Amazing. Ten years of cultivation and you have managed to survive a hit from my Plate Breaker a.s.sault. Not many people can survive the concentrated energies of an attack capable of shattering at least two major continents. Especially only after a decade of cultivation."

The creator came closer to him and restored his clothes with a simple gesture. The Nethari's clothes expanded and all of its tears patched up on its own. The dirt vanished and the white robe regained its radiance and regal appearance.

The creator locked his proud, golden eyes with his disciple's and then took out an ornate black box from within his sleeves, gesturing his rejuvenated his disciple to receive.

The black box was fifteen centimeters long and wide, and measured ten centimeters tall. It had golden dragons, phoenixes and all manners of heavenly beasts engraved on it. A golden trigram with a sephiroth on its center was depicted on the treasure box's lid.


Characters in an unknown language were written down within the trigram, containing ancient and profound secrets to manipulating the laws of the world. A ma.s.sive and powerful aura surged from the box, hinting at the might and value of whatever is contained within.

The creator urged his first disciple to open and accept this gift, telling him, "Mithra, you have reached a milestone in your efforts." He held his head high and gazed upon his first disciple with a parent's pride.

He continued, "You are ready to embrace the next step of your cultivation. Although you have only managed to gather qi in five of the sephirah, your cultivation level has already reached the late stages of the Grandmaster Realm. Unlike others, you can survive a continent destroying attack in the Grandmaster Realm, even the most genius of cultivators would fail to do so in the Sea G.o.d Realm."

"So here, accept this gift and use it how you wish." Mithra took the box and bowed in grat.i.tude before opening it slowly. The lid was quite heavy, so he couldn't open it faster unless he really intended to do so.

When he opened the box, he saw a hollow bone flute with eight punctures on it presented upon a velvet red pillow. The flute emitted a powerful suppression aura that sent chills down Mithra's spine. 'This is definitely a very ancient treasure, its aura is incomparably greater than my own.' He thought.

Mithra gently picked up the bone flute, fearing that too much pressure would cause the artifact to wreak untold destruction. It felt soft but rigid, as if it has survived the pa.s.sage of millennia that has wiped it clean of impurities. The qi within it is very condensed and unfamiliar, a sort of divine energy was possessed by the flute.

He could feel the ma.s.sive disparity between the qi condensed within it and the air, a difference in quality was also very visible. Mithra placed the flute on his belt and silently vaporized the now fragile box. He cupped his hands and bow, thanking his master, "I will never forget this gift Great and Wise Teacher!"

"Now, let's get a change of scenery to test out your new treasure."

The land around them blurred and rotated violently like a hurricane. The qi in the air was restricted to within the eye of the storm, caged by the teleportation method that mimics the wall of wind in tornadoes. Soon, the spinning wall started slowing down and a new scenery gradually emerge from the blurry ambiguity.

A land forged by flames and soaked in vicious, bubbling magma appeared. Volcanoes protrude from the dry ground like jagged spikes, spewing rivers of hot, boiling magma into the bare, ashen land. The pungent stench of sulfur permeates the arid atmosphere, signifying the abundance of volcanic eruptions setting the land ablaze.

The sky was full with columns of smoke, condensed into ma.s.sive, thick clouds like blimps drifting slowly through the fiery, bleeding sky. Distant m.u.f.fled roars echoed through the uneven terrain, rebounding from the common spears of stone erupting from the dark soil. Black, plump shrubs and all manner of black, plant like creatures nested atop smooth, dark boulders near the rivers of lava, using its heat and light to continue their autotrophic life.

All in all, it was a h.e.l.lish landscape with raging volcanoes, boiling rivers and a poisonous atmosphere. Demonic roars and numerous cursed, black, devil plants inhabits this smoldering, igneous landscape. Mithra could not help but sweat a little from the heat and dense flaring qi in the air.

"Welcome to the realm of Huilu, the abode of the Huoshen Fire G.o.d Zhurong. It is here where you will use the White Bone Demon Flute to trap the spirits and bones of your fallen enemies."

The creator clapped his hand twice and summoned a ma.s.sive bolt of lightning upon a nearby volcano, shattering it with pure tribulation energy. Magma bursted from the mountain as the bright thunderbolt slammed into the towering volcano. The large clumps of magma were energized by the divine essence and enriched the atmosphere's qi.

The divine magma is not longer affected by heat transfer and its temperature remains at 1280 °C at all times. Soon, each piece transformed its landing site into pools of spiritual lava with variable size and depth. Plumes of smoke and flame bursted from these pools, containing heavy spiritual essence that can be sensed from afar.

The creator suddenly punched the ground and grabbed out a red, hot animal eye the size of a fist. Lava dripped from it, cooling into igneous rocks as it drips on the charred ground. Then, he sent black energies to refine the disconnected eye, sterilizing it and coating it in spiritual essence.

An obsidian frame materialized around the eye, imbued with great amounts of qi. The eye created a vortex of energy to drain the qi from the world itself, garnering several b.a.l.l.s of divine essence mixed with an ocean of earthly essence. With the union of heaven and earth essences, the eye is reborn as a spiritual artifact of heaven shaking power.

The Ashura Eye is born, possessing the power to penetrate all illusions, seal powerful beings, unleash heavenly fire and summon six armed warriors of fire and brimstone. A great light shone and then vanished, leaving behind nothing but a hint of divine essence. As soon as the creator teleported away, growls and roars of distant beasts amplified in volume and source. All manner of fiery and demonic beasts ran towards Mithra from afar, drawn by the remaining hint of divine essence.

The young Nethari prepared his stance and his qi, drawing all of it out to be used. 'This will be a long and arduous battle.' He thought. As soon as the first beast comes to sight, Mithra makes his move.

===Zerg Galaxy===

Following their relocation into a new galaxy and the unrestrained growth that comes with it, the Swarm developed into an extremely powerful force. From a force spanning only several planets, they developed into a hivemind spanning over ten million star systems, ruled by nine juvenile broodmothers. Although they have not even conquered a hundred thousandth of their galaxy, any invading fleet would find themselves outmatched by the Swarm's sheer size.

They would have expanded a hundred times faster if they had behemoths and leviathans, overlords move very slowly in hypers.p.a.ce. Without the creator's presence, they could not break through to Tier 5 despite meeting the requirements eight years ago. Now, his return is heralded by the sudden evolution that silences the galaxy.

Overlords in deep s.p.a.ce alongside their escorts suddenly froze, a coc.o.o.n emerging and enveloping them in an evolutionary chrysalis.

Armies of zerg on the ground erupted into coc.o.o.ns, creating oceans of variably sized coc.o.o.ns throughout billions of worlds. Living structures were also wrapped in green coc.o.o.ns, pulsating and mutating into new, superior forms. The queens were the last to enter a chrysalis, gasping in surprise and joy at the Overmind's return and their long awaited evolution, they are glad to be of use once more.

A month after the large scale evolution began, cracks have begun appearing on the earliest coc.o.o.ns. Soon, the upgraded forms of the Zerg Swarm emerged from the amniotic fluids of their coc.o.o.ns and continued their conquest. The strains were removed of their weaknesses and their strengths were amplified.

Zerglings doubled in strength, durability and speed, possessing acid covered talons that weaken armor and deal damage over time. To increase their overwhelming ability, zerglings are upgraded to hatch in threes and upon death would spit a condensed stream of acid with effective 100 meter range.

Roaches and Hydralisks have their acid and spines strengthened and their effective range increased by 100 meters. Microfilaments developed on their lower body increase their movement speed by 10% and allow them to deep burrow across the creep carpet.

To increase Hydralisk lethality, spines will fragment upon colliding with a strong, momentary force, allowing it to spray against a group of armed enemies. As for roaches, they will spit hydrolytic bile and a flammable, sticky substance that will inhibit enemy movements, making them easy prey. Though these upgrades come with an extra cost and minute to produce, the advantages in a ma.s.sive battle are very hard to overlook.

Banelings become more agile and will leap towards their targets. Upon detonation, a poisonous spine will be shot from the banelings, designed to penetrate and poison targets in order to track them.

The DNA sequence for Ravagers have been added. Ravagers are basically more armored and larger roaches with a spiky back that contains a pool of glowing, corrosive bile. They are thrice as large as a normal roach, a 7m tall quadruped with blade like legs.

The Ravager sequence was modified in Tier 5, increasing its effectuve range by 100 meters and allowing it to attack air units when burrowed. Their air attack has a limited range of 2 km and takes three seconds to charge. A group of these upgraded Ravagers would work well in defending against the large and slow capital s.h.i.+ps.

Mutalisks have their durability and armor doubled, and their regeneration factor tripled. Their glaive worms are improved to deal a third more damage and implant themselves in the last target after bouncing twice. Bounce range increased to 50 meters and if implanted target proves biological, parasite action will be executed and subtly transform its host into a suicide bomber within 24 hours.

Corruptors have their durability, armor and attack speed tripled. To maximize their damage output and to ensure that they at least attack once before dying, Corruptors attack in bursts of nine attacks. This ensures that each corruptor destroys or severely damages at least three enemy fighter craft before being gunned down. The 1.8 km range also helps that.

Vipers and Defilers are introduced, their energy regeneration and capacity improved by a large margin. Alongside Infestors, their biological spells have their range increased by 200 meters and the effective radius increased by 10 meters.

Ultralisks gain thicker armor and the ability to move while burrowing. Their unburrowing action is a leap attack that is very effective in large scale battles against Swarm tactics and standard battle formations. Their already ma.s.sive durability would allow Ultralisks to tank most of the damage in any engagement.

As for he psychic breeds, their psionic abilities have evolved, allowing them to influence the Immaterium and by extension reals.p.a.ce more effectively. Overlords could control a thousand individual zerg, create psychic portals and even possess enemies, though their control is reduced to only a hundred individual zerg while doing so. If eight Overlords work together, they can open a pa.s.sage to hypers.p.a.ce.

Queens could now create psychic constructs with their power, manifesting in lightning phenomenon, levitation and telekinesis. Large Queens can work together in groups of three to generate Zerg Daemons by influencing the Immaterium with their powerful psychic wills. Huge Queens are strong enough to generate a group of Daemons every minute.

As for the current Juvenile Broodmothers, they are the only ones capable of creating Greater Daemons. They could also summon all manners of warp sorcery such as fire waves, storms, large scale possessions and electromagnetic pulses.

The largest improvement to the Swarm was not any upgrade, but the introduction of the Behemoth strain. The Behemoth strain is a zerg stars.h.i.+p with the appearance of a fish crossed with an isopod and covered in brown carapace. It ranges from being 680 meters long to 860 meters long with many armaments.

Behemoths possess three ravager turrets, a medium sized mutalisk factory and several dozen spine turrets with greater range, attack power and size. The Behemoth can transport tens of thousands of zerg strains and move much faster than overlords. In hypers.p.a.ce, an Overlord requires two days to travel a single light year while Behemoths only require half an hour to traverse a single light year.

After meeting the current Broodmothers and giving them new abilities depending on their brood's roles, the creator departed after naming Praelis as the Supreme Broodmother.

For 90 years, the creator travelled throughout his universe and seeded life in many worlds. For worlds he intended to have sentient life in, they were left behind a temple designed to guide and modify their cultures to the creator's liking depending on their future appearances and behavior. All planets were given customized temporal fields to make life develop much earlier than others, giving the illusion of older worlds.

The most favorable of future civilization are the Chton'a of Daemonoc, the Talugatha of Meru and the Anzu of Tammuz. As for the rest, he did not do much interventions and culture shaping since he's not really interested into any of them. He created 47 future civilizations including the favorable ones which number only 7 and gave life to more than ten times that number of worlds.

To return to Huilu, the creator spread his senses throughout the universe to lock on his disciple's location. The world of Huilu is a rogue planet the size of the sun whose extra gravitational energy is converted to spiritual essence which is qi. The creator happened to stumble upon this world when he was training Mithra.

He found it perfect to be a place of Trial and cultivation due to the abundance of demon beasts (beasts who cultivate via absorbing ambient qi or eating cultivators or cultivator beasts) and the rich spiritual essence that permeates all sections of the world. A normal human could easily cultivate into Immortal G.o.d realm within his life, not to mention a Nethari and a progenitor at that.

Cultivation is done by absorbing spiritual essence or qi from an external source and by improving the body's own source of it. Absorption is mainly done by breathing in the essence and internal upgrades are done by condensing it in an area, usually the dantian or energy source usually located in the navel. If you can condense it, you will feel a sort of heat in the area you focus on and thus you have entered the Qi condensation realm.

The heat you feel is the condensed ball of qi you breathe from the air or draw from your body. If you focus and absorb more from an external source, you can push it down and eventually make it rotate throughout your body and return to the dantian. This is called the Rotation realm and if you can easily make the qi ball rotate, you have reached the higher stages of this realm.

Since basic control is learned, more advanced control is required to proceed. If you can spread your qi into a sheet of sorts and wrap it around a certain bodypart, you have entered the Inner Strength realm. Those of this realm can cover their bodyparts in qi to give temperature resistance, accelerated healing and amplified attacks.

A punch with qi would deal much more damage than a punch without one. This realm already enters the superhuman range and most tibetan monks should have reached this level if they do not possess natural temperature tolerance. The higher levels of this realm allow superhuman physique due to common use of qi and superhuman feats such as punching and breaking rocks, running on water and resistance to bullets.

The supernatural stuff is at the Master realm, this is the realm where qi can be condensed to form projectiles such as fireb.a.l.l.s or a cloaking method. Those of this level have high amounts of qi and could control them professionally, thus earning the t.i.tle of master. The higher levels of this realm can mask their presence both visually and auditory wise by preventing light waves and sound waves from bouncing off the person.

The next level is called the Grandmaster Realm and its basically the far heightened version of the Master Realm. Grandmasters age slower and have much longer lifespans due to their bodies being regularly tempered by high levels of qi. They are also gifted with enhanced regeneration due to regular qi tempering.

Grandmasters can make permanent qi constructs and basic artifacts. Their projectiles are much more powerful and their battles can easily destroy a neighborhood if it lasts longer than fifteen minutes. They are impervious to firearms and snipers can only scratch them, grenades can only wound them and missiles could severely injure or cripple them.

Most humans would peak at Grandmaster Realm if they cultivate, but those who have deeper understanding and or control of qi can ascend to the DemiG.o.d Realm. DemiG.o.ds are very long lived, they can reach centuries or even a thousand years of age. They are also the first of the divine realms and can utilize the world's essence to cultivate instead of having to rely on dissolved qi in the air, food or water.

Pa.s.s this realm would be the Spiritual G.o.d Realm, the first realm of mortal G.o.ds. Spiritual G.o.ds have souls that can permanently persist in the material realm as Ghost Deities who can still use the power from when they were still alive. Spiritual G.o.ds are always stronger than DemiG.o.ds and are harder to kill due to their immortal soul ability.

They can possess bodies and cultivate using it and even fragment themselves to parasite on other cultivators to further cultivate themselves. Although their cultivation ability is unaffected, the next level requires the cultivator to condense a Divine Body out of the world's essence. Since dead Spiritual G.o.ds do not possess bodies, they would need to possess a body in order to reach the next realm.

Sea G.o.d realm cultivators can manipulate the natural phenomenon around them, allowing them to ride storms, call upon the power of the sea and the sky and cause great floods and natural calamities a.s.sociated with the weather. Sea G.o.ds can withstand hydrogen bombs and survive but could not survive any modern nuclear armaments and even the strongest ones would have an issue in surviving a nearby detonated Tsar Bomba.

Then, we have the Immortal G.o.d realm. The realm where cultivators can start utilizing divine essence converted from their own qi. Divine essence is similar to mana in their ability to distort or even break the laws of the universe, but divine essence is much more potent and would corrode anyone without sufficient resistance to it. However, anyone who could master it could survive repeated point blank Tsar Bomba detonations and even lift a mountain and hurl it.

Above this realm is the Earthly Immortal realm, where the earth essence used to make a divine body is converted to divine essence to form an Immortal body. Those of this realm are impervious to mortal conditions and can easily regenerate limbs. Only overwhelming power and permanent withering effects can kill them.

Mithra's goal is to reach the Heavenly Immortal realm, where the soul is converted to a G.o.d soul that causes the cultivator to be impervious to non-divine weaponry. Anything short of a point blank Hypernova will not defeat them. The masters of this realm can cut the sun in half with their weapons and only black holes can injure them.

Above this already terrifying realm are the True Xian Immortal realm, Enlightened Immortal realm and Void Immortal realm. The creator' avatar possesses a higher cultivation than Void Immortal realm.
