Translator: Henyee Translations Editor: Henyee Translations
After a while, Jin Xiangdong slightly removed his lips, and the two exchanged a breath of air. Lu Jia’er looked at him with half-shut eyes. His eyelashes were like a b.u.t.terfly gently flapping its wings. He smiled softly with deep eyes, which was truly seductive.
Seeing Lu Jia’er’s cheeks blush like blooming roses, he couldn’t resist his excitement and kissed her again with his lips covering hers. As they kept caressing each other, Lu Jia’er became a little breathless.
With a ring, the elevator door slowly opened and the pa.s.sers-by standing at the door saw the scene inside and they couldn’t help but pause their steps. Then Lu Jia’er heard a cough. She recovered from the caress and pushed Jin Xiangdong.
It was only then that Jin Xiangdong let go of her. Lu Jia’er quickly turned around. Had it not been for Jin Xiangdong’s quick reaction to guard her with his hands, her head would have definitely hit the gla.s.s directly. Next, Lu Jia’er stood still and fixed her eyes on the window with a blus.h.i.+ng look. Jin Xiangdong, who was standing beside her, slightly raised his lips, because her shy appearance was so cute in his eyes.
In Ma.s.sachusetts, United States of America.
In the city of Cambridge, a new day started. In the dining room of a single family two-story villa, Jin Shengping sat at the head of the table while eating a Chinese breakfast.
After a while, Jin Xianglan, wearing a pair of black trousers and a white s.h.i.+rt, which gave him a capable and vigorous appearance, came down from upstairs.
She pulled out a chair and said, “Dad, good morning!” the voice was hoa.r.s.e and exhausted.
Jin Shengping glanced at her and asked softly, “What time did you return last night?”
“At one o’clock!” Jin Xianglan said and picked up the chopsticks on the table.
Jin Shengping stopped talking and Jin Xianglan also silently ate her breakfast. The atmosphere seemed a bit cold but the last time Jin Xiangdong had breakfast with his very busy daughter was three months ago.
Jin Xianglan quickly finished her breakfast, took a tissue, and wiped her mouth as she said, “I have a seminar at 10 am. I have to go first!”
“There is a bag in the refrigerator that your aunt Li Lin has made for you!” said Jin Shengping.
“What’s in it?” asked Jin Xianglan.
“Something you love to eat!” replied Jin Shengping.
“I will have a business trip after the meeting. I will leave it here!” Jin Xianglan said and picked up her bag.
Jin Shengping glanced at her and said nothing. But humanity had a contradictory nature. Parents expect children to grow up when they are young, but when they really grow up and rarely have time to spend with parents, parents will look back on the past with sadness.
“Xiangdong is in love!” Jin Shengping suddenly said while Jin Xianglan walked to the hallway.
“What did you say?” Jin Xianglan paused for a few seconds before she turned around.
“Xiangdong is in love!” Jin Shengping repeated.
“When did this happen?” Jin Xianglan strode back to the table and looked at Jin Shengping.
“Recently!” Jin Shengping replied.
On hearing his words Jin Xianglan’s expression became complicated. She gazed at the calm face of Jin Shengping, her mind full of doubts and asked, “And you’re allowing it?”
“I have no objection!” Jin Shengping replied coolly.
As Jin Xianglan heard his reply, she seemed to get nervous and angry. “Dad, you… ” When she paused, put her hands on the table and looked into the eyes of Jin Shengping. “Have you truly considered the consequences?”
“I’ll let nature take its course!” Jin Shengping was very calm, especially when compared with Jin Xianglan, who was restless.
