Chapter 4: I Said Let Her Go!

“You are too serious. A gentleman already expressed his love to you this afternoon. I have seen your charm with my own eyes.” Jin Xiangdong picked up a piece of beef with sauce and said casually.

Lu Jia’er’s eyes shone with amazement after she heard this. “You attended my course this afternoon.”

Jin Xiangdong nodded. At that time he was seated in the last row and witnessed the grace of Lu Jia’er standing on the platform; her manner of professionalism while teaching and the humor shown in the face of the student’s confession of love.

Although Lu Jia’er had been very confident in her lectures, it seemed that there was something wrong with the students’ confession of love in the cla.s.sroom. “Mr. Jin, please stop teasing me.”

Jin Xiangdon bit his lips. “Ace! I prefer people to call me by that name.”

Facing such an amiable technology company founder, Lu Jia’er was no match for his request. “Ace, next time you come to my course, remember to report in advance to your professor!”

Jin Xiangdong was cooperative. “Fine!”

Lu Jia’er gave a soft smile then changed the topic of conversation. “Please try the sas.h.i.+mi.”

Jin Xiangdong glanced at her and grabbed the chopsticks.

The background music of the restaurant had transitioned to Aoi Tes.h.i.+ma’s La Vie en Rose. With soft music in the ear and delicious food in mouth, this was the most enjoyable and most pleasant dinner outing Lu Jia’er had had. She could not see through what the other person was thinking, which made her feel as though she were a normal person.

Two hours later, the two exited the restaurant.

When Lu Jia’er was about to say goodbye to Jin Xiangdong, she inadvertently saw a group of people gathering on a street 15 meters away.

Lu Jia’er composed herself and then knitted her brows.

Jin Xiangdong noticed this detail and asked, “Professor Lu, are you feeling unwell?”

“No.” Lu Jia’er quickly shook her head. “It was a very pleasant evening. Thank you for the dinner!”

“I also had a pleasant time. I look forward to your reply!” Jin Xiangdong said.

Lu Jia’er nodded and then walked towards her Cayenne. She was about to reach out to open the door, but she could no longer stand the girl’s cry for help. She turned around and quickened her pace toward the street.

On the opposite street there was a group of people. In the middle of the crowd, a man was dragging a weak woman. “C*nt, go home with me! Don’t make a fool of yourself!”

“I don’t know you. Let me go. Help! Somebody! Help! I really don’t know him!” The weak woman cried for help.

“C*nt, don’t you play stranger when we’ve had a fight. Get back here, you deserve to get punished!” The man’s voice was fiendish. His big hand was dragging the woman beside him.

The people around them were just onlookers. No one had stepped up to mediate. But there were a few who was speaking: calm down, don’t be angry.

Lu Jia’er, who had rushed over, broke through the crowd and witnessed the scene with her own eyes. She said to the man, “Let her go!”

The eyes of everyone around were instantly fixed on Lu Jia’er.

“Mind your own business. Our couple disagreement has nothing to do with you! Get outta here!” The man yelled at Lu Jia’er, who suddenly showed up, meddling in his business.

Lu Jia’er looked calm and fixed her eyes upon the man. “She doesn’t know you at all!”

The girl being dragged by the man had heard her words and nodded with tears. “Yes, I don’t know him at all. He suddenly came to me and dragged me for no reason!”

“I don’t know you? Do I have to check your ID card? You are Liu Yinghong, 24 years old, coming from Ganzhou, Jiangxi. Do I need to report your parents’ names too!” The man spoke with eloquence.

Upon hearing these words, Lu Jia’er said coldly. “Even if you know her name and where she’s from, she doesn’t know you at all!”

The man turned ferocious and cast a murderous look over Lu Jia’er. “Don’t interfere, this little b*tch is in need of a spanking! Our quarrel is none of your business!”

Lu Jia’er ignored his shouts of abuse and said harshly, “Let her go!”

The man gave Lu Jia’er a fierce stare. Fury was written all over his face but he neglected Lu Jia’er’s command and left directly, dragging the girl next to him.

Lu Jia’er stormed over and grabbed his hand. “I said let her go!”

“You nosy b*tch!” The man burst out and raised his hand as he tried to slap her face.

However, the arm that swung up in the air was caught by two powerful big hands. Lu Jia’er, still in a state of shock, slightly turned her face, and found that Jin Xiangdong was standing firm and tall by her side.
