Just as they reached the door, the two of them stopped. The two people coming to the lab stopped as well. The latter pair was just Jin Shenping and Lu Jia’er.
How interesting this was. Two Jin Shengping!
The Jin Shengping with Lu Jia’er and the one with Jin Xiangdong stared at each other aghast. However, the Jin Shengping next to Lu Jia’er began to put on a sharp, stern look. When he was about to take action, Lu Jia’er had understood the situation. She knocked the Jin Shengping, that was standing beside her, out immediately.
Jin Xiangdong felt his heart skip a beat. He hurried over to support Jin Shenping. While it was true that Jin Xiangdong’s wound would heal very quickly, because of the major movement, he frowned due to the pain.
“Ace?” Lu Jia’er was frightened.
Jin Xiangdong said at once, “I am fine! Carry my father inside!”
The Jin Shengping standing over to the side came over to help and the three over them carried the unconscious Jin Shengping into the lab.
Lu Jia’er threw a look at Jin Shengping on the testbed but soon s.h.i.+fted her gaze to Jin Xiangdong. “Ace, did you tear open your wound just now?” She asked him again with worry.
Jin Xiangdong’s looks fell on Lu Jia’er’s face with worry written all over it. “No, I did not. My wound is almost healed. But the internal injury will take a few days to heal completely.”
Lu Jia’er was still not rea.s.sured. She wanted to see with her own eyes. “Let me check!”
Jin Xiangdong grabbed her hands. “We have company here!”
Lu Jia’er just remembered there was another “Jin Shengping”. She took her hands back and turned around slowly. “Colin?”
Colin, who was disguised as Jin Shengping, smiled at her. “Professor Lu, you are good!”
“You are the only one I know that can change their looks.” Lu Jia’er said.
Colin laughed. “I am here to save you!”
But Lu Jia’er wanted to find out something first. “Where is Ian? Do you know where he is? Or, have you already saved him?”
Colin shook his head. “No. I have not found him yet.”
“What is your relations.h.i.+p with Ian?” Lu Jia’er pursued.
“I took his money and I took care of his business.” Colin stated.
“Were you hired by him?” Lu Jia’er tried to verify.
“Do you believe me?” Colin stared at Lu Jia’er.
“Believe you or not is not of utmost importance at the moment!” Lu Jia’er replied.
Colin liked that Lu Jia’er would disregard minor points of conduct. “I will give the matter of Ian further thought. The pressing matter at hand is to save you both and get you outside!”
“Do you have a plan?” Lu Jia’er asked.
“Changing your looks.” Colin’s reply was three words.
Lu Jia’er looked him up and down. “Colin, I have to admit that your disguises can be flawless. But I don’t think your body is cooperating with you. You will give yourself away when you do not pay attention. Besides, Jin Xianglan said that it is impossible for us to escape here!”
Jin Xiangdong kept his gaze at Colin. Just now, Jin Xiangdong had gone off into wild flights of fancy and the effect of the anesthesia had not worn off yet, so his power of observation had slipped a bit. However, he had noticed something was off from just a moment ago.
Colin looked at himself. “I have to blame the fact that I usually work out too often! But this is the most perfect disguise either way! That being said, it is impossible that we won’t find a way to get out.” He went on.
Lu Jia’er glared at him. “Then why did you say that the pressing matter at hand is to save us and get us out!”
Colin laughed. “Heaven never seals off all the exits!”
“What do you mean?” Lu Jia’er was confused.
“Jin Xianglan!” Colin said the name.
“Jin Xianglan?” Lu Jia’er repeated in confusion.
“Let Jin Xianglan take you out!” Colin explained.
Lu Jia’er could not help but burst into laughter. “Do you think that can happen?”
Colin took a look at Jin Xiangdong and apologized. “I am sorry but before Jin Xianglan came into the lab, I had been hiding in the control room outside. I eavesdropped on your conversation with Jin Xianglan. I believe she can be the tool to break us out of here.”
Jin Xiangdong looked back at Colin and gave a brief reply, “Not necessarily.”
