Chapter 192: The Secrets Hidden in Memory (23)

With a doctor’s overcoat on, Jin Xianglan appeared to be more capable and experienced. Afterwards, she showed Jin Xiangdong into a s.p.a.cious lab.

The walls of the lab were snow-white. A gla.s.s wall divided the room into two parts. The outer room was the designated zone for the visual operating system while the inner room was the test area. Jin Xiangdong had come several times, so he was familiar with this place. Before Jin Xianglan asked him to do so, he had stepped into the test area, removed his s.h.i.+rt and lied down on the examination bed.

Jin Xianglan looked at him through the gla.s.s. It had been half a year since she saw him last time. Jin Xiangdong’s figure was fitter. The muscles on his upper body shaped nicely, making it quite inviting for people to stroke them. Jin Xianglan looked away. After things were ready, she raised her head and asked Jin Xiangdong, “Are you ready?”

“Let’s begin!” Lying on the examination bed, Jin Xiangdong replied.

Jin Xianglan pushed a yellow b.u.t.ton on the operating system’s control console. Jin Xiangdong’s wrists were secured by the equipment. There was an additional piece of equipment to his left. That equipment slowly moved to the back of his hand and then, a tiny needle pierced into the veins on the back of his hand with precision. Blood was drawn out of him bit by bit.

The needle was removed after a syringe of blood was drawn. Then, Jin Xiangdong was covered by an optical wave. He received a thorough scan.

The scanning lasted for three minutes. Next, the instrument to his right was activated. It was a sharp scalpel and it cut into his right arm gently. Warm blood oozed out, dripping down from his skin

Since he was not under anesthesia, the pain pa.s.sed along from his arm to his brain. Jin Xiangdong could not help but frown. He had to bite his teeth to endure this pain that not everyone could relate to.

The two sides of the muscles cut open on his arm were secured respectively for a pet.i.te tool to probe into his muscle. This lasted for three minutes as well. It was obvious that Jin Xiangdong was grimacing in pain.

Out there standing on the platform, Jin Xianglan frowned as well. But finally the process had come to an end.

Blood sample, the scanned image and the scan of his muscle texture were uploaded to the system one by one. The instrument began to run a.n.a.lysis on the data. Jin Xianglan kept her eyes fixed on the rows of data showed up on the 3D screen. Unknowingly, the corners of her mouth were raised up.

Lying on the bed, Jin Xiangdong took a look of his right hand. The equipment used to secure him was removed. His muscles were growing back together and thus, the wound began to heal.

The healing process took longer than usual since the cut was deep. Eventually, a long and thin scar was left on his skin.

Then, new equipment was presented. It moved close to the scar on his arm and scanned it. Once, twice, and three times. Finally, his skin recovered to its original state.

After it was done, the machine used to secure his arm was removed as well. Instead of getting up immediately, Jin Xiangdong was still lying on the bed, staring at the ceiling.

Jin Xianglan came in and looked down at him with a smile.

“How was the data?” Jin Xiangdong turned to her and put forward a question.

“Everything is okay. The fibroblast in you has reached the acme of perfection!” Having finished her reply, Jin Xianglan stroked the skin on his arm gently. There was no scar. It was flawless.

Noticing the pride br.i.m.m.i.n.g in Jin Xianglan’s eyes, Jin Xianglan curled his lips. “The so-called everything is fine with me is the opposite of being fine to others.”

Hearing his words, Jin Xianglan looked into his eyes as she comforted him. “For all this time, you have always been the most unique. You don’t have to care about other people’s thoughts and views. You are you, the only you in the world.”
