Before leaving the hospital, Ariana sent an attachment to Chen Mu's phone. She said, "This is an ancient acupuncture book that many people want to lay their hands on. I managed to find loopholes around it. See if you could understand the instructions for the chapter two hundred and five. That chapter teaches which acupuncture points could warm human bodies up and keep it at that temperature."
"Although it may not be much help, but at least it's worth a try. If this is the drug in her body, then this may delay its effects. As long as her temperature is kept constant or even warmer, her organs would suffer less damage. Hopefully, we can get back in time."
Chen Mu quickly checked his phone and opened the file she had sent him. He nodded along and gave the couple a tight hug, "You guys must come back safe and sound. If..If you guys can't bring Qian Ling along, it is fine. Your safety comes first, especially when Ariana is carrying a little one inside of her. Remember to take the supplements.
"I prepared a few months amounts because I'm not sure how long you guys will be gone for." After giving them advises and explaining the medical kit he had packed for them, Chen Mu started to review the file.
This time, only Lin Que dropped the couple off. Everyone gave them a farewell hug before letting go. Ariana and Chen Nan walked towards Susu's bedside. Ariana squeezed Susu's hand and whispered, "You must fight and stay alive. We'll figure out a way to help you. We will try our best to come back as soon as we could with Qian Ling. So, please hang on."
Meanwhile, in one of the rooms of the underground tunnel laboratories, Alexander snuck behind the counters to look for any suspicious containers with pills in them while holding a mini flashlight with his mouth. Since these laboratories were research based, almost all of the products would be liquid.
'That disgusting old man mentioned pills. There must be pills somewhere around here.' He thought as he made minimal noises while moving containers aside. Suddenly, the lights to the lab switched on; startling him greatly.
"What are you doing here?" Qian Ling asked as she stood by the door. Alexander shushed her, turned off the lights and closed the door before anyone else realizes he was there.
Whispering in a low volume, he told her about looking for the pill to cure her. She sighed, "If the pills were in these labs, then I would be the first to find it. The white pills they give to me are distributed by random amounts. Out of nowhere, my body would feel the effects of the poison. I've tried not taking the pills during the painful moments, but ended up spatting blood."
"I didn't dare risk it anymore and continued taking the pills they give to me." She appreciated his thoughtfulness, but she was certain about the pills not being in the labs. If they placed it in the labs and she finds it, then they would have nothing to threaten her with.
Rubbing his chin with an obvious displeasing frown on his face, he agreed with her words. "You're right. Can I take a look at the pills?"
She nodded and brought him back to her room where she poured a pill from the container and handed it to him. With one look, he immediately recognized the small round ball that is rolling smoothly in his palm. He smirked, "So that's what they had planned. Hah, r.e.t.a.r.ds really do a cruel load of bulls.h.i.+t."
"What? Do you know the cure to this?" Her voice lost its calm as it stuttered nervously. It's been years since her suffer from their demonic wrath. She couldn't figure out anything from the labs and was giving up her hope in this.
He nodded and smiled, "This is easier than I thought. Pour me half a cup of water first. I'll show you something."
She quickly did as he instructed and brought the gla.s.s of water to him. In the next minute, he dropped the pill into the water and sliced a small cut on the tip of his finger. Squeezing a drop of blood into the water, he swirled the gla.s.s for the blood to mix with the pill.
Within another minute or two, Qian Ling's eyes widened in shock as the pill exploded in the water, turning the water pink. "This..What is this?" She pointed at the water as he placed the cup down.
"The so-called poison they've fed you from years ago was our ancestor's generation spell. When they forced the first pill down your throat, it wasn't the same as these. That pill contained our s.h.i.+ family's blood and a living parasite. The reason why they gave you these mini pills was that the parasite needs food."
"These mini pills are white on the outside and inside, but it's made out of a s.h.i.+ member's blood. The blood calms the living parasite. Therefore, once you stopped taking the pills, the parasite went on a hunger rage. Good news is there is only one parasite and it doesn't reproduce, so it is easier to get rid of."
Qian Ling smashed her fist against the counter, "Those mad dogs!!! Disgusting!!! How do I kill the parasite?"
"For a straight month, I'll provide three drops of my blood every day. Mix it with water after having your meal. You will feel some stomach cramps afterwards, but it will shorten as time pa.s.ses by. My blood could kill the parasite, and it will naturally get out of your system." He said as he felt relieved about helping her.
At least one out of two tasks is somewhat completed. Since the treatment required three drops a day, he decided to start giving her his blood the following day. He would offer a bucket of blood to her, but his body condition was at its limit. If he gave her that amount of blood, then he would be in trouble. After figuring out the solution, he walked back to his room for a nap.
In the middle of roaming through the hallway, he heard some whispers coming from the b.l.o.o.d.y room. Out of curiosity, he decided to take a look since he knew the old man didn't take his baths every day to preserve blood.
