"A recorder… it hasn't been used since fifteen years ago."
Ann curiously asked her sister as she looked at the dusty recorder and the CDs, which were more familiar than the black recorder but still considered an old and inefficient thing.
Scarlett handed her sister the three papers found in the cardboard and said,
"Study these while I try to make this thing work."
The recorder was more special than the rest as it needed a pa.s.sword to actually turn on. The pa.s.sword was composed of four digits but the female doctor didn't know anything about such a pa.s.sword so the only thing she could do is try random number and hope it works.
As she saw that the red light going off and on from the side of the recorder, Ann knew that her sister was failing.
"Maybe Bin can turn it on."
"Yes but maybe he'll take it from us if he knows about it… I think these are the private sessions between Master and him."
…
A bit less than two hours later, Ann, who was engrossed reading Galen's papers, rubbed her disheveled hair then sighed. She was feeling tired and confused.
"Big sis, these calculations are wrong. Moreover, I don't think they are about Bin. They mention Tachycardia, more specifically, Supraventricular… there also notes about Alexithymia and Leukemia. It doesn't make sense!"
"Keep studying them! It's definitely related to Bin!"
Although reluctant, Ann obeyed her sister and, after eating a bit of salad to fill her stomach, she went back to work.

"Ah! I've had enough! Tell me what's wrong with you!"
Jasmine suddenly snapped at Bin, who was calmly sitting opposite of her and looking at the road outside of the limousine's wide window. In addition to the two, Rika was also present, she was invited by Jasmine to come to her manor as Melissa needs to go to her real home for a few days. She didn't speak of the details but her father is coming back and she wants to spend some time with him.
"Hm?"
Bin lazily faced the front and looked at the black-haired gorgeous girl who was gazing back at him with a half-angry face.
"You've been acting strange ever since yesterday!"
She was used to his rude reproaches and impolite words but, today, he kept total silence and acted like a real servant, something which she isn't used to.
"I have?"
Bin feigned ignorance as he straightened his back, crossed his arms and spoke again,
"As your servant, I have been working dutifully… I don't see the point in minding my act as long as I do my job properly."
He threw a momentary glance at Rika, who was quietly watching their interaction. Just like her friend, Rika also wondered about why Bin is acting so 'respectfully' but, she knew more than Jasmine, though she didn't say anything.
"That's not what I meant. I clearly saw you angry yesterday, right after talking to my mother. What happened?"
"Look, master, there's no need to forcibly know everything about what I do."
"No, I need to! As your master, if you cause any trouble then I'm the one who's going to clean after you."
She paused for a split second, her expression eased up as she added with a much lower tone, "I, I can also lend you a h-hand."
"Thanks but no thanks. Our relations.h.i.+p is strictly professional, and needless involvement isn't beneficial to either of us, trust me."
The girl thought for a moment before speaking again, "You don't look that happy to work for me. If you're that annoyed then why don't you quit?"
"Who said I'm unhappy? The pay is good and the work is easy. Also, I get free and luxurious lodging, it's practically a heaven-sent opportunity."
Jasmine crossed her arms and snorted as she heard his words.
"Hmpf! So you know that being my servant is a blessing."
Bin's lips twitched but he didn't say anything back.
'I don't know about a blessing but, at least, you're better than Melissa.'
Jasmine could be annoying at times but she's not someone who hides her feelings or is a double-faced b.i.t.c.h like her blond friend, which is enough of a reason for him to keep working for her. Moreover, the pay really wasn't that bad as he just needs to let her boss him around.
The master pondered for a bit before raising her head and grinning. She took out an empty cheque from her purse then filled it and waved it in front of Bin,
"If you tell me the truth then this is yours~~~"
The cheque was worth 5 million won (4110 USD) and for Bin, who's a money-hungry person, it would entice him for sure, or so thought Jasmine.
As expected, Bin's face changed as he saw the big sum of money in front of him. His mind went in overdrive as he quickly thought about a lie.
"Actually…" He turned toward Rika and continued, "Your friend was afraid last night so she called me. I was about to sleep hence my anger."
Rika was momentarily started before glaring at Bin. When Jasmine looked at her, the girl timidly nodded her head but didn't say anything. Jasmine's hand, which was waving the cheque, stopped, so Bin s.n.a.t.c.hed it with a lightning-speed.
"I told you, happy? Jeez, you just had to embarra.s.s your friend."
Jasmine frowned but her expression soon relaxed as she apologetically said, "Sorry, Rika."
"Nn, it's fine. Melissa wasn't home and I felt afraid alone there. I should've told you first."
