After making sure that Xiuying, Du and Xi Hui went to the side hall, Qi Chen finally look at his uncle. The Patriach was about to speak but Qi Chen beat him to it.

"Uncle I know that you favor First Elder's daughter the most and I fully understand that however if such favor would result to this I need them to give us a reason for this action."

"Chen'er I know you are sad for what's happening however you didn't inform me that Ying'er have recovered. I already talk to everyone and we've concluded that we can't further delay this alliance." The patriach firmly said he can only swallow his anger at the stupidity of his favorite granddaughter. How can they act as if no one can see them hugging in the garden when what they have planned haven't finalized yet! Now he have to deal with his nephew to avoid any losses, he still need to s.n.a.t.c.h his businesses!

"What you mean by everyone, me and my wife aren't included when my Ying'er is the one who will be humiliated?! Chen gritted his teeth showing his anger.

"This... Chen you were busy this past months and I spoke with them about this and besides we are about to discuss this today."

"I see... It seems it was finalized before my family knowing like we aren't part of 'this family', well what we can do but to accept it."

"This nephew will go first to my family as my daugther needs me right now!" Chen stood and left the main hall without giving proper farewell. As soon as he is out of sight, the patriach throws the cup he was holding to the First Elder and his wife.

"What a good daughter you have! Can't she wait for everything to be settled before revealing her relations.h.i.+p with Young Master Long?!" The patriach with face reddens due to anger as he points at his eldest son.

"Father we don't know that Xiuying recovered!" First Elder automatically reasoned out. He can't lose his father's favor to him and his family.

"Do you have to wait for them to tell you brother? Don't you have spies in their courtyards? It only shows how you have been too lax these past months." Second Elder suddenly spoke, he doesn't have anything against Qi Chen and since the result of his brother's problem will be beneficial to him he didn't say anything earlier to defend the first branch. He is a son of the Patriach with his once favored concubine thus making him only second best in the eyes of their father. Making his eldest brother loss their father's favor is the best for him and his family.

"Shut up!" The First Elder shouted. "You only know how to make things worst for me!"

"Eh, brother-in-law it isn't our fault that your daughter is already counting the chicks when the eggs haven't hatched." The Second Elder's wife said calmly while covering her mouth with a fan painted with red peonies but both Fa Qing and First Elder can see the hidden smirk playing on her lips.

"You...you!!!!" Fa Qing can't take situation anymore and started running towards the Second Elder's wife.

"Stop all of you!" Patriach shouted his voice rang in all corners of the main hall that even the servants outside heard it clearly. Fa Qing stopped and faces the Patriach, she was about to speak when his husband grabs her wrists forcefully she can only glare at the second branch and her husband.

"You two know that what your younger brother said is true. You have been too relax!" Angrily said while slamming his fist against the chair's armrest.

"Shou what do you think we should do?" He faces his second son and calmly asked. This action made the First Elder's expression ugly while Fa Qing openly glared at them.

"We can only have Young Master Long and Fan'er apologize to Xiuying to appease Chen and Xi Hui and resume the original plan for Xiuying be the one to marry in Long clan." The second elder calmly state what he have in mind while trying to see what his father is thinking.

"You know that the one Young Master Long love is my Fan'er! Aiyo! If I didn't know you only want to ruin my daughter's future!" Fa Qing rebuke despite her wrist is starting to hurt more in her husband grip.

"What's happening mother?" a lovely yet seductive voice was heard in the main hall's door. Everyone in the main hall saw Qi Fan slowly approach her mother while Young Master Long, Long Guanting supporting her. Her white skin is emphasize by her light pink hanfu and with long eye lashes, phoenix like eyes and heart shape palm size face she gives off an innocent appearance contrasting her voice.

"Xiuying have recovered." Patriach calmly said despite the storm going on his mind but after a while his mind cleared up as he saw Long Guanting as long as the young master declare his love to his beloved granddaughter they don't have to stop their plan. Though he still have doubts due to Xiuying's appearance and recovery he dismisses it as he sees how the newly arrived couple look at each other.
