Qi Chen was about to speak again but stopped when a jade like hands pats his shoulder. He knows that it is his wife Xi Hui.

After sitting, Xi Hui's expression became blank as if ready to negotiate for someone's death.

"Patriach Qi I am amazed by your family's actions and wondering does Old Patriach Long know that the grandson he is so proud of is the mastermind of my daughter's a.s.sa.s.sination attempt? I bet not, now only it'll ruin Fan'er future in Long Fu, it will greatly affect the relations.h.i.+p between Long and Qi clans if he does. The patriach can feel his sweaty palms and s.h.i.+vers. He knows he needs to control the situation and only give in to his nephew and Xi Hui's demands. He can feel that whatever it is, it won't do them any good.

"What do you want for this matter not to spread out?"

"Father we shou..." the first elder tries to intervene but stop when Patriach Qi looks at him, the old man didn't forget to glare at Fa Qing as she hides behind her husband.

"Just simple, sign this." Xi Hui glances at Chen, the latter walks near the Patriach and hands a scroll but didn't get back to his wife's side as he wants to get the scroll after the Patriach signed it.

As the patriach reads it the more grave his expressions become. "Chen'er, Hui'er let's talk this matter out we can't just separate..."

"It is either you sign it or we destroy your dream uncle." Chen states calmly but everyone can feel the sarcasm when he emphasizes the last word while Xi Hui smiles beautifully as if what she and her husband are talking about is just a small insignificant matter.

"Lou'er get my stamp now." The first elder wants to protest although not know what's the content of thr scroll he knows they are at loss.

The patriach can only do what the black bellied couple wants and just thinking how he didn't benefit at all in this exchange he wants to slap Fa Qing to death. He and his son really wasn't aware of the a.s.sa.s.sination plan until the deed was already done.

Chen immediately gets the scroll the second Patriach Qi's stamp is lifted and returns to his wife to help her stand up.

"Thank you Patriach and First Elder's family for this exchange, we won't stay any longer as we need to prepare for our departure.

What exchange?! This is extortion! This can't be called exchange at all! Thinking about not being able to s.n.a.t.c.h any of Chen's businesses and now his nephew's fortune slip by his hands lile water he can only prevent himself from vomitting blood.
