Chapter 117 - Side Story 27 – This Was What He Liked (Gu Ming Ren x Lin Jiang)

After completing his final exam, Gu Ming Ren and Lin Jiang greedily started a life together without any shame.

The two youths were not very restrained, fighting and attacking each other on the bed all day long. Finally, they would only stop after wearing themselves out.

Today, Li Yan came over. Her son had not returned home for a long time so she had to come and have a look. In the end, when she entered, the living room was quiet and not even a figure was in sight.

Looking at the time, it was nearly eleven. Li Yan called out, “Baby?”

Lin Jiang’s ears were sharp. He immediately sprang off the bed and kicked Gu Ming Ren, who was reading a book with earphones on. “Seems like your mom is here?”

Gu Ming Ren turned off the light music and was silent for a while. Sure enough, he heard Li Yan’s pondering voice. “Don’t tell me he’s not home?”

Lin Jiang dressed quickly. When he thought of being caught in bed by Li Yan the last time, his forehead started sweating and he felt that Li Yan surely did not have a good impression of him.

“What are you panicking about?” Gu Ming Ren was amused. He looked at Lin Jiang and automatically expressed his love. “We are openly dating, not having a secret affair.”

After he said that, he got up slowly. Last night, they fell asleep in each other’s arms and slept happily, so when they woke up this morning, they didn’t want to get up and stayed in bed until now.

Li Yan had quickly fumbled her way to the bedroom and heard some distorted voices from inside. Her expression stiffened and she was afraid to see something that she shouldn’t. She lifted a hand to knock on the door, not in a hurry to open it, and waited for a while.

At top speed, Lin Jiang went to the bathroom to wash up while Gu Ming Ren went to turn the door handle, his eyes meeting Li Yan. With a gentle expression and a relaxed voice, he said, “Mom, why did you come over?”

Li Yan sniffed and not smelling anything suspicious, she relaxed and chided him, “You ask why I came over? How long has it been since your vacation started? Even the second son of the He family has come back from the capital. But look at you, in the same city and not returning home.”

Li Yan’s tone was a complaining one. Her son had forgotten about his mother after getting a wife. She didn’t know what kind of charm that boy had to take her baby’s soul away.

Gu Ming Ren laughed helplessly and leaning against the door, he explained, “I intended to go back today.” The main thing was that if he left, Lin Jiang had no one to take care of him. That son of a b.i.t.c.h didn’t know how to do anything and was especially dependent on him.

Li Yan poked her head in to look around. “Where’s that boy?”

“Was.h.i.+ng up.” Gu Ming Ren stretched casually.

Li Yan had not seen her son act like a youth in a very long time. He had always been mature and sensible, and his life was self-disciplined and rigorous. It was rare to see him dwindling in bed like he had been today.

Lin Jiang came out from the bathroom and saw the two of them standing at the door. Embarra.s.sed, he called out, “Auntie.”

Since young, he had been a mischievous child, so was not liked by his elders, neither was he good at communicating with them, always feeling that he would screw up.

Gu Ming Ren waved him over and Lin Jiang walked to them uneasily. He heard the other boy say, “Chat with my mom for a while, okay?”

Lin Jiang subconsciously refused. He really didn’t know how to chat with his elders!!!

With fingers tightly clenching Gu Ming Ren’s clothes, Lin Jiang cast a “help” look at him, his pupils showing panic and fl.u.s.ter.

Gu Ming Ren probably had some evil intentions. He bent his head to kiss him and said comfortingly with a smile, “It’s okay, go on.”

Li Yan couldn’t bear to look but could savour the sweetness from their actions. Youths. She laughed gently and took the initiative to say, “Lin Jiang? Let Ming Ren go and wash up. You can accompany Auntie for a chat.”

Whether it was in appearance or self-restraint, Li Yan’s standards were excellent. Lin Jiang thought silently, No wonder Gu Ming Ren was so outstanding. Heredity was really important!

He followed Li Yan out and sat rigidly on the sofa, like a child who had done something wrong and was waiting for criticism.

Li Yan said with a smile, “Don’t be nervous. Auntie won’t eat you.”

Lin Jiang forced a smile but his heart was pounding uncontrollably. This was meeting the parent! Could he not be nervous?!

Li Yan first asked how long they had been together. When did they know each other? Finally, she got to the key point and said with a sigh, “You know that the image of a businessman is very important and they aren’t very receptive to h.o.m.os.e.xuals, especially Ming Ren’s father.”

Lin Jiang listened silently and nodded from time to time to acknowledge that he understood.

Li Yan could see that the boy had no wild ambitions and wasn’t greedy for their family’s money and power. It was just that some deeply-rooted issues would not be easily resolved in the short term.

“Anyway, since the two of you are together, I can’t bear to break you up.” Li Yan laughed and said teasingly, “The people in the Gu family are very devoted but Lin Jiang, I must remind you that it will be inevitable for you to suffer some grievances in the future. You need to be psychologically prepared.”

At this point, Lin Jiang didn’t understand what grievances she was referring to and only felt that nothing else mattered as long as the two of them were together.

That same day, Gu Ming Ren went home with Li Yan while Lin Jiang went over to Uncle Lin’s place for the new year.

Auntie Lin was someone who loved to dress up and make her home red and cheerful.

On Chinese New Year’s eve, Lin Jiang had a new year’s eve dinner and received a red packet from Uncle and Auntie Lin. Missing his parents a little, he looked up at the moon through the window.

When his phone sounded, he picked it up. It was He Cheng Ming!

“Okay, I’ll go over now, Ming Ge!” Lin Jiang hung up the phone and took a taxi to the He family home.

He didn’t know how the He family had managed to a permit for a fireworks display but there was going to be a large fireworks event that night and He Yue Jin had invited many friends from the industry to watch. It was very lively at the He family house.

Less than a year after He Mu Sheng took over the He group, the company became very prosperous. While He Cheng Ming was studying in the capital, he occasionally made some investments, resulting in him creating a name for himself. Both young men of the He family were successful in their careers which brought a lot of pride to He Yue Jin, so he readily acknowledged the relations.h.i.+p between his younger son and Ji Liao.

The young people showed their love freely right there. Even if the older generation didn’t agree, they wouldn’t bring it up. Just like how Gu Wen Tian, in between clinking gla.s.ses with He Cheng Ming, would glance at him holding Li Jiao’s hand and smile kindly, doing just enough on the surface to suffice.

The Gu family was here today. The more public the venue, the more Gu Ming Ren was unable to bring Lin Jiang with him, so he could only invite him through He Cheng Ming.

Lin Jiang didn’t want a big scene. When his shocked gaze met Li Yan’s, he automatically avoided her.

He Cheng Ming went over to welcome him. The two of them had not seen each other in half a year. A lot of things had happened since then but the other boy didn’t ask anything and just patted Lin Jiang’s shoulder. “You’re here? Stay with Ji Liao first.”

Lin Jiang felt that He Cheng Ming was more awesome now and looked at him with wors.h.i.+p in his eyes.

Gu Ming Ren walked over quickly and twisted his head towards him. Lin Jiang grinned and called out, “Ge.” He Cheng Ming tutted. “Son of a b.i.t.c.h, you used to only call me Ge.”

Lin Jiang was a little ashamed but Gu Ming Ren protected his wife aggressively. “That was before. It’s different now.”

He Cheng Ming laughed. It was great that their relations.h.i.+p had come to fruition but looking at the Gu family’s att.i.tude today, it might not be an easy life in the future.

He and Gu Ming Ren were soon called away. Lin Jiang said h.e.l.lo to Ji Liao and they found a place to sit.

With bright eyes, Ji Liao asked Lin Jiang with great interest, “How did you and President Gu get together?!” When he heard the voice message that day, he felt so excited that he was cleanly eaten up by He Cheng Ming that night.

Lin Jiang’s ranking of the four of them was as follows: He Cheng Ming, Gu Ming Ren, him, Ji Liao. So Lin Jiang didn’t have any burden when facing Ji Liao and immediately played it cool by saying, “Went to bed together first, then later fell in love!”

The description was very fitting and there was nothing wrong.

The phrase “went to bed” was too sensitive for Ji Liao so his ears turned red immediately. Then he said in a low voice, “But didn’t you like girls?”

He even dated Li Si Ran and pursued Meng Yao Yao.

Lin Jiang touched the tip of his nose. “I didn’t know anything before.”

He suddenly raised his head and glanced at Gu Ming Ren. At the same time, Gu Ming Ren happened to look over and their eyes met. Lin Jiang’s eyes curved and he asked, “Ji Liao, how much do you like Ming Ge?”

Ji Liao had a strawberry in his mouth and he considered it for a while, then shook his head and said, “I don’t know.”

Because it couldn’t be measured and had no limit. He just wanted to be with the other boy all the time and indulge him in everything.

“And you?” Ji Liao asked in return.

Lin Jiang smiled and said, “I don’t know.”

Earlier, when his eyes met Li Yan’s, he felt very aggrieved because the way Li Yan looked at him seemed to say, How could you be here.

He had self-respect. Although he knew that Li Yan had no malice, the feeling was quite unbearable, making Lin Jiang feel like he was being trampled on and unable to raise his head. If He Cheng Ming had not come over to welcome him earlier, he probably would have run away and avoided all the cruelty.

Nevertheless, when in front of Gu Ming Ren, he happily called him Ge. Seeing his satisfied expression, it also made him happy. Lin Jiang drank some wine and his spirits lifted. He wanted to clink gla.s.ses with Ji Liao but Ji Liao waved a hand to refuse him. “Your Ming Ge doesn’t allow me to drink with anyone else.” His tone was a little regretful, making Lin Jiang laugh. “Ming Ge is so strict?”

Ji Liao quickly gave him a meaningful look. Lin Jiang turned back and saw his Ming Ge staring at him with an ominous glint in his eyes, then he snorted coldly and said, “Why? Do you have something to say?”

Lin Jiang shook his head vigorously with an expression on his face that said: “I dare not. I didn’t. How could I possibly”.

He Cheng Ming sat beside Ji Liao and held him in his arms. With an indulgent, pacifying tone and a hint of provocation, he said, “Baby, you’re so obedient.” After the praise, he gave Ji Liao a kiss.

Lin Jiang didn’t want to eat this dog food. When he turned his face away, he b.u.mped against Gu Ming Ren’s lips. Although it was just a light brush, it made his heart sped up and he was at a loss.

“What are you doing!” Fl.u.s.tered, Lin Jiang hurriedly pushed him away and his eyes automatically went to Li Yan. Fortunately, Li Yan wasn’t paying attention to them.

Gu Ming Ren’s heart ached. He looked at the other person’s little boyfriend, then looked at his son of a b.i.t.c.h!

The fireworks were about to start soon and the four of them paired off. To make the visual effects better, the servants turned off the surrounding lights. In the darkness, Gu Ming Ren turned his head to suck on Lin Jiang’s face, then kissed his mouth, prying it open and exploring the insides.

Lin Jiang raised his head and watched the night sky lit up by fireworks, filling it with dazzling colours. But it wasn’t a match for the clear scent and lingering kisses from the one beside him. This was what he liked.
