Alfred looked at the body of the fallen knight and his face was contorted with anger.

"d.a.m.n demons!"

A golden light started to gather around his sword. He slashed forward where Anna's clones were. The light shot out like an arrow from the sword. The air started vibrating from the shockwave created by the light. In the next moment, the light divided into three. The three rays of light flickered as they targeted the clones.

The clones moved among the knights. They tried to find a weak point once again and kill another one. At the same time, they tried to dodge the golden lights. In the end, their movement was useless. The lights pierced all of them. The golden light exploded through their bodies. It was like a flash. The radiance from the explosions made the knights in the surrounding blind for a few seconds. When their vision came back, there wasn't a trace of Anna's clones.

Anna's face looked pale. Blood started sipping out of her lips. This attack actually managed to injure her as well. It was really a fearsome attack. She gulped back the blood in her mouth and another three clones emerged. They started running in the direction of the knights once more.

"Anna, are you okay?"

Erin saw the blood at the corner of Anna's lips and her pale face. That made her even more worried.

"If you are injured, don't force yourself to use the clones! Rest for a bit and save your strength for later."

"We can't do that, Erin. We are in a battle now and our opponent is stronger than us. If we don't use everything now, it may be too late later on!"

This time Anna wore a grave expression. She had to remind Erin that this was a life and death battle, or else, they might be in trouble later on. If Erin didn't accept the situation seriously, the consequences might be disastrous for all of them. After all, if Erin died, Anna and Seth would die as well. They were her blood slaves and the contract was really vicious in that regard. Even though they could live endless lives, that was possible only when their master was alive as well.

"I..."

Erin fell in a trance. It's not like she didn't know what the stakes in this battle were. It was just that, she was still uneasy and confused. After all, everything came suddenly. First, it was Richard's disappearance. After that those humans came after their lives. And now even Anna was injured. All of this happened too fast for her to be able to accept them. She took a deep breath and steeled her mind.

"I'm sorry. I'm just too worried for you. If you feel that you can't fight anymore, don't join the battle unless it's necessary."

After she said that, Erin merged in the shadows. She turned around in the direction of their enemies. She just realized that they couldn't outrun their opponents. If they wanted to survive, she had to join the battle as well.

Lyse saw that Erin disappeared in the shadows and her hand pointed backward once again. A faint blue magical power started to gather in her hand. She squinted her eyes and pointed her other hand as well. The magic power started to gather at her hands like two whirlpools. She took a deep breath and the temperature of the surrounding atmosphere became even lower.

"Mist"

With her whisper, the gathered magic power in her left hand started to spread in the surroundings. From the faint blue magic power, droplets of water were created. They spread around and engulfed the whole region in a mist. The temperature plummeted even more and wherever the mist touched, the places started to crystallize and freeze.

"Ice shards"

The magic power in her right hand shot to the ground. In the next moment, Ice shards started appearing one after another, making a straight path towards the knights. Even though she could attack Henry or Alfred with those shards, they wouldn't be so effective against them. On the other hand, the knights were weaker, so it was natural for her to target them first.

Henry frowned looking at the mist. Their vision was once again obstructed to barely two meters in front of them. The temperature was extremely cold, too. That gave him even more headache.

"Fire burning within myself, banish the surrounding cold. Let it be warm again. Show us the bright ray in the darkness. Heatwave!"

With that incantation, a warm current started spreading in all directions from Henry. Even though the heat wave wasn't as strong and offensive as the inferno, it was the best choice of spell for the moment. The mist evaporated in the air around him and the temperature started to turn to normal once again. The effect of that spell was slower, but it was still effective. His vision started to return to normal little by little, as the mist disappeared.

While Henry was trying to remove the obstacle from their vision, Alfred intercepted the ice shards. He frowned a little and took his sword in both of his hands. His sword once again started to radiate with the golden light. While the light started to gather again, Alfred leaped up in the air. He pointed his sword to the ground in front of the incoming ice shards and stabbed it until only the hilt was visible.

The earth trembled as rays of golden light started appearing from the earth. All of those rays were appearing only in the direction of the ice shards. It was like a golden path created out of nowhere. The ice shards and the golden light finally met and a sound like broken gla.s.s echoed in the surroundings. Alfred managed to stop the ice shards with this move, but the energy he unleashed inside the earth was consumed as well.

Anna's clones were once again in front of the knights. They all wore grave expressions on their faces. Those clones were really annoying, but at the same time equally dangerous. The Knights' formation changed once again. The clones looked at the formation and frowned, but their movement didn't stop. They once again attacked the knights, the only difference now was that there wasn't any loophole that they could exploit for now in the formation of the knights.
