He was really mad that someone actually had the idea to ruin his home! That was just unacceptable! He started killing them one by one. The knights died one after another. There was no resistance, no chance to counterattack, only an instant death. That really made the humans despair. Were they really going to die like this?
As Richard was killing them, finally, there were only two left. Henry and Alfred. They were the fastest ones and the strongest ones of the group, but still, they weren't a challenge for Richard. They were cursing nonstop in their minds. If they knew the Shadow Lord was such a monster, they would never try to provoke him! But now it was too late! They were just a few seconds away from death!
As they awaited their death, the time pa.s.sed by, but nothing happened. They turned around and saw Richard stiffen in place, like someone amazed by what he saw in front of him. They didn't know what had happened, but that was their chance for sure! Thinking about that, they started running even faster!
At this moment, Richard's heart suddenly tightened. He felt that something bad was about to occur. He started thinking what might go wrong, and in the next moment, his face changed!
"Oh, no! Erin!" Saying that Richard started flying at full speed back to the battlefield, totally neglecting the two humans that were still alive. He had to reach there as fast as possible!

The battles in the forest were still raging. You could see the creatures fighting everywhere. There were a lot of corpses scattered about the place. Severed limbs, heads, intestines had turned the scene into a nightmare. Those who were still alive were covered fully in blood. The smell there was really bad. The clouds in the sky started turning red.
At this moment, Richard's army once again took the lead, as they killed more than they lost. And still, it wasn't an easy feat. There were already more than a thousand casualties. In comparison to them, Lance's army had lost 2500 people. The battle was slowly starting to reach its last stage.

Lance at the moment was still in the Shadow Domain. But he got used to it. He covered himself with his aura and started retaliating against the shadow spears and other sneak attacks. He was waiting for the perfect moment to attack and kill Stefan. He knew that sooner or later the magician would show himself. The only thing Lance had to do was to endure till then.
The minutes pa.s.sed slowly, the sneak attacks got less frequent. It seemed that the magician was finally at his limit.
Stefan's mind was fuzzy. He had overused his mana and on top of that, he had lost a lot of blood from his severed hand. He had the feeling that he would collapse at any moment. He still tried everything he could to finish the werewolf, but nothing worked. The werewolf had instincts too good to be deceived.
He sighed. 'Forgive me, my Lord, for I'll be the first to leave! Let your future be even brighter!'
As he closed his eyes, the shadows around him started to disappear. Little by little, the light came back. Lance was waiting for that. Looking at the magician before his eyes, who was totally exhausted, he couldn't help but respect that man, who fought with all he had got.
"You were a worthy opponent, I'll give you this credit. I'll give you the right to name yourself so that I'll remember you in future." Saying so, Lance looked at the magician with a serene gaze and slightly bowed. It wasn't that he had lowered himself, the man before him just deserved that kind of respect.
"My name is Stefan. You are indeed an excellent warrior, but it's too early to challenge our Lord! That is a reminder from me, not with bad intentions, but from my heart! I can see that you may have a bright future, retreat while you still can, or you will meet your doom soon!"
Lance was a bit startled from the sudden lecture. He couldn't help but laugh out loud. What was that? Was he really trying to stop him from realizing his dream? What a joke! Taking a few steps forward, he came in front of Stefan. Without saying anything more, he severed his head.
