Luo Yu almost laughed when he heard that Jiang Qi wanted to buy Su Jiawen from him.
It was Zhou Zihao who called as the middleman.
Zhou Zihao's dad had some collaborations with Zhen Ting, so Jiang Qi asked him to help convince Luo Yu.
Zhou Zihao first asked Luo Yu if he wanted to go out to sea again. Last time he had even almost lost his underwear, so wanted a chance to win something back.
Luo Yu deliberately avoided the topic. "When Shen Qiyin comes back to Ping City."
Zhou Zihao spoke some more before sensing that Luo Yu was impatient. He finally cut to the chase. "CEO Luo, the boy you brought last time. Is he still with you?"
Luo Yu didn't answer. Instead, he asked Zhou Zihao to get to the point. Zhou Zihao hesitated a bit more before finally asking what he called to ask.
Jiang Qi's starting price was five million. After hearing Zhou Zihao say this, Luo Yu burst out into laughter. "Does Jiang Qi think he's dealing with a beggar?"
Zhou Zihao thought that though five million was nothing in Luo Yu's eyes, it should be more than enough to buy a Su Jiawen. He had tried to convince Jiang Qi that Luo Yu never spent a lot of time on one person; perhaps not much later, he would release Su Jiawen anyways. Then, there would be no need to go in such a circle.
Besides, if someone wanted to fight with Luo Yu for the boy, he might be less inclined to let Su Jiawen go.
But Jiang Qi disagreed. He said Su Jiawen was his teacher's son, and that he was indebted to his teacher. He had to save Su Jiawen from the fire pit.
Zhou Zihao had only bit the bullet and called Luo Yu after his father nagged at him to do so incessantly.
After hanging up, Luo Yu called Lu Yi in. He asked him, "Jiang Qi wanted to give Su Jiawen the vase in front of you?"
Lu Yi paused, then said yes.
Luo Yu inquired, "You don't think Su Jiawen recognized Jiang Qi?"
Lu Yi relayed the events that had occurred that night. He emphasized again, "It didn't seem like Mr. Su recognized Jiang Qi."
Jiang Qi came from much clearer origins that Ruan Zheng. He was a Ping City native who had been a beater in the West Clan between the ages of fifteen and sixteen. One winter day, he suddenly disappeared from Ping City. The next time he appeared was three years later. Jiang Qi's ident.i.ty had changed too, to become the second-in-command at Zhen Ting. He was the one who appeared to deal with things in Ruan Zheng's stead; his status consequently rose.
Xing Licheng had looked into this after hearing what Lu Yi said. Jiang Qi and Su Jiawen really were connected. Su Jiawen's dead father was Jiang Qi's middle school homeroom teacher. When alive, Su Jiawen's father had a good reputation. Perhaps Jiang Qi was indebted to him somehow.
Jiang Qi was a lot older than Su Jiawen. It was possible that he had seen the other when he was a child, especially since Su Jiawen's appearance now was mostly identical to that of when he was young. He was good looking too, so recognizing him wouldn't be too hard.
But all these "coincidences" together couldn't help but arouse suspicion. Xing Licheng immediately relayed this information to Luo Yu. Luo Yu hadn't seriously considered it until Zhou Zihao reminded him of it today.
Luo Yu made a call home. He asked the housekeeper what Su Jiawen was doing. The housekeeper took a look and replied, "Mr. Su is reading."
Luo Yu closed his eyes and recalled what Su Jiawen looked like at home. He didn't want to keep asking. Su Jiawen was simple and all alone in the world. His physical strength was almost nonexistent; he wasn't even capable of killing a chicken. Other than walking the dog, he only read every day. Besides, he had stayed in Luo Yu's bed for so long already. If he wanted to do something, he could've done it ages ago.
No matter how suspicious he was of Su Jiawen, nothing came to fruition.
That night, Luo Yu declined an invitation to go to an alcohol and s.e.x party. He told the driver to take him home directly. There was ongoing construction in the middle of the city these days, so the driver took the long way around. He pa.s.sed by a flower shop that Luo Yu had never seen before. Luo Yu coincidentally looked up and saw it.
He told the driver to stop. The driver parked by the side of the road. Luo Yu got out of the car and walked into the flower shop.
A little girl working at the flower shop wearing an ap.r.o.n greeted him. "Sir, what do you need?"
Luo Yu politely asked her, "Can you make me a bouquet of tulips?"
"Of course." The little girl put down the watering can in her hands and said, "What colors would you like?"
Luo Yu pointed at the white ones. "Only this color."
At home, Luo Yu shoved the flowers at Su Jiawen. He rarely personally bought or gifted others presents, so was a bit awkward in doing so.
Su Jiawen was overjoyed to be receiving flowers. He held them in his arms and said, "But I don't know where to keep them."
Luo Yu remembered the silver flower vase and was just about to speak when Su Jiawen suddenly added, "I wonder if there's aspirin in the first aid kit."
"What do you need aspirin for?" Luo Yu asked him.
"If you put aspirin in the water, the flowers can live longer," Su Jiawen explained. He waddled around the house, holding the large bouquet of flowers as he looked for a vase. He made his way about, motions extremely limited, but refused to put down the flowers no matter what. Twenty minutes later, he finally located three flower vases of different colors in a storage room.
The nanny helped him put the vases on the coffee table. He squatted by them and started gesturing.
"Mr. Luo," he turned to call for Luo Yu, "Which one do you think looks better?"
"Come eat first." Luo Yu regretted buying the flowers for him.
Su Jiawen hesitated. He probably wanted to pick a vase out with Luo Yu, but ultimately put down the flowers and took a seat to eat.
Halfway through dinner, Luo Yu casually brought up, "The vase Jiang Qi wanted to give you the other day, why didn't you accept it?"
Su Jiawen lifted his head and looked at Luo Yu, bewildered. A moment later, he finally responded, "I thought it wouldn't be right."
"Why wouldn't it be right?" Luo Yu asked again.
Su Jiawen shook his head and said, "I'm not sure either. His appearance is a little terrifying."
Jiang Qi was big and looked rough, truly resembling a gangster. Luo Yu laughed and comforted him, "If a similar situation comes up next time, bravely accept the gift."
Su Jiawen hesitantly nodded.
"He asked someone to find me today and said he wanted to buy you for five million," Luo Yu slowly relayed, observing Su Jiawen's expression as he spoke.
It took Su Jiawen a few seconds to comprehend what Luo Yu had said. As soon as he did, his face paled. He fearfully asked, "Did he?"
Su Jiawen stared directly at Luo Yu, as if waiting for a decision.
Upon being gazed at like that by Su Jiawen, Luo Yu couldn't bear it anymore either. He said, "Ruan Zheng must not treat him that well. He's quite poor."
Su Jiawen still looked at him. He squeezed the chopsticks in his hands but stopped eating. He was both nervous and scared. Su Jiawen wanted to ask if Luo Yu had sold him, but also didn't dare to.
"I didn't agree," Luo Yu finally admitted. He reached a hand out to pick up a sparerib for Su Jiawen. "I'll choose a vase with you after we eat."
Su Jiawen lowered his head and went "un", but his expression wasn't as excited as it had been when Luo Yu first handed him the flowers.
Luo Yu teased Su Jiawen a bit but the other still refused to smile. Thus, he lost interest and randomly pointed out a vase for Su Jiawen, then went upstairs. In the bedroom, Su Jiawen was dressed in pajamas and sat on the bed looking through the first aid kit.
"Looking for aspirin?" Luo Yu undid his tie and tossed it off to the side, then unb.u.t.toned the b.u.t.tons on his s.h.i.+rt.
Su Jiawen had placed the vase filled with tulips by his feet. He found a strip of aspirin and popped a tablet out to put in the vase. He lifted his head to ask Luo Yu, "Mr. Luo, where should we put the vase?"
"Wherever you want," Luo Yu said.
Su Jiawen wasn't in great condition. His dismal mood was probably because Luo Yu had frightened him during dinner. He forced himself to be calm and told Luo Yu, "I wanted to put it in the dining room, but the white is the same color as the table cloth. It doesn't really match, so I brought it out again."
He went over seven or eight places he wanted to put the flowers, explaining in detail the pros and cons of each.
Luo Yu was amused and wanted to ask Su Jiawen why had had so much to say today, but he knew in his heart that it was because Su Jiawen was trying to make up for something. Thus, he ultimately didn't ask anything. He sat on the couch listening to Su Jiawen go on and on about the art of placement.
"So the bedroom is the best." When Luo Yu began feeling sleepy, Su Jiawen finally came to a conclusion. "Can I put it here?"
Luo Yu watched as he struggled to move the flower vase and walked over to help him lift it. He put it on the low shelf next to the couch. "Here?"
"Un. Does it look nice?" Su Jiawen smiled at Luo Yu.
Luo Yu walked a little further away to take in the whole picture. It truly did look nice, so he allowed Su Jiawen's request. Then, he went to the bathroom.
After he walked out after a shower, he discovered that Su Jiawen had gone downstairs to steal milk to drink again. Luo Yu made his way downstairs to observe him; he saw Su Jiawen happily holding a gla.s.s and drinking.
The scene was peaceful, but the smell of something burnt emanated from the kitchen.
"What smell is that?" Luo Yu furrowed his brows and asked him.
Su Jiawen guiltily said, "What smell? I don't smell it?"
Luo Yu walked over and took a look. There were two pots of milk by the sink; one of them had a burnt bottom. He questioned Su Jiawen, "Did you burn your milk?"
"No." Su Jiawen looked left and right, refusing to admit it.
Luo Yu bent a finger and knocked on Su Jiawen's forehead. He walked into the wine cellar and picked out a bottle of wine. "Why drink milk."
Luo Yu opened the bottle and poured out two gla.s.ses. He handed one to Su Jiawen, "Adults should drink something with alcohol."
Su Jiawen put his milk down and grabbed the wine to take a sip. Upon seeing Luo Yu drink too, he took a larger gulp.
Su Jiawen's alcohol tolerance wasn't very high. After two sips, it showed on his face. Two red spots appeared on his cheeks and he wobbled when he walked.
He looked at Luo Yu then, not bothering to hide anything anymore. He liked Luo Yu, truly.
Luo Yu had an ego too. He naturally enjoyed the wors.h.i.+p in Su Jiawen's eyes. Though he already knew the answer, he still asked Su Jiawen, "Jiawen, would you be willing to go with Jiang Qi?"
Su Jiawen sat on the single person sofa, legs curled beneath him. Upon hearing this, he lifted his head and replied on high alert, "No."
"Why not?" Luo Yu gently coaxed, "Didn't you keep Shen Qiyin's business card?"
Su Jiawen said, "I don't want to be with Shen Qiyin either."
"Why?" Luo Yu's face darkened.
Su Jiawen put his wine gla.s.s off to the side, then leaned his body towards Luo Yu. He and Luo Yu were on two separate sofas, so he put all his weight in his upper body and used his hands to push against the edge of the sofa, struggling to get closer to Luo Yu. He quietly told the other, "Because I like you."
His confession was out of the blue and straightforward. He very clearly announced it to Luo Yu.
"What do you like about me?" Luo Yu asked him.
Su Jiawen couldn't say. He bravely rested his hands on Luo Yu's shoulders and leaned in closer and closer, until he finally brushed against the other's lips.
Su Jiawen's exhales carried the aroma of wine. His soft lips were glued against Luo Yu's. He b.u.mped against them a bit before moving away. His pretty, wet eyes stared at Luo Yu. He repeated himself, "Like you."
Luo Yu observed Su Jiawen's serious expression; for some reason, his heart rate increased a bit too. He couldn't help asking Su Jiawen, "How much?"
Su Jiawen came up with a way to describe it. "I'd do anything for you."
"What if I made you sleep with Jiang Qi?" Luo Yu pinched Su Jiawen's chin and forced him to raise his head.
Su Jiawen's eyes were already out of focus. While Luo Yu was preoccupied, his head had drooped to the side and he had fallen asleep. Luo Yu looked at him, mood conflicted.
Because he realized he had exhaled a sigh of relief upon seeing that Su Jiawen was asleep, Luo Yu realized he didn't need a response from the other. Thus, he let Su Jiawen keep sleeping.
He had posed the question himself, but didn't want to hear the answer.
Su Jiawen curled up on the sofa, knocked out. His posture looked extremely uncomfortable.
If this were the Luo Yu of before, he probably would've left Su Jiawen, or any other bed partner, on the couch and gone upstairs alone to sleep.
But this time, Luo Yu didn't.
He picked Su Jiawen up and carried him back to the bedroom, put him on the bed, and fell asleep holding him.
The next morning, Su Jiawen surprisingly woke up before Luo Yu. He squatted by the low shelf and stared at his tulips.
When he heard Luo Yu waking up, he turned around to look at him. He nervously said, "A flower petal seems to be wilting. I'm trying to figure out what to do."
"If it's wilting, it's wilting. What do you mean seems to be wilting?" Luo Yu walked over to take a glance. He couldn't tell that anything was different.
Su Jiawen hesitantly fidgeted with the bouquet. As if saying a tongue-twister, he said, "The aspirin doesn't seem to be working."
Luo Yu smiled and rubbed Su Jiawen's head. "If it wilts I'll buy you another bouquet."
But Su Jiawen still didn't give up on observing his flowers. He turned around to discuss with Luo Yu, "Mr. Luo, if I leave in the future, can you keep this vase here?"
His question was very clear and very valid, but Luo Yu didn't like it. Luo Yu expressionlessly looked down at Su Jiawen. He purposefully misinterpreted the meaning. "You want to go to Jiang Qi already?"
Su Jiawen couldn't say anything to that, so he lowered his head. Luo Yu asked, "So which flower's wilting?"
"This one." Su Jiawen squeezed a flower branch in the middle, pointing it out. He showed Luo Yu, "This petal."
Luo Yu reached a hand over and yanked the flower out, threw it into the trash can, then walked into the changing room.
Su Jiawen was so angry that he started stomping his feet. "How could you casually throw away someone else's flowers!"
Luo Yu stood still. He turned around and stared down at him. Su Jiawen shrunk in on himself and stopped talking, but his expression was still indignant.
"Are you giving me att.i.tude?" Luo Yu asked him.
"I wouldn't dare." Su Jiawen kicked at the trash can with the tip of his foot, then ran downstairs to eat breakfast.
During breakfast, a dish the chef made caught Su Jiawen's attention.
"Auntie Liu, how did you make this?" Su Jiawen called the chef pa.s.sing by to a halt. He asked her, "My dad made this for me before, when I was little. I haven't had it since."
The chef looked at it and said, "This is a pickled dish from my hometown. It's rare in Ping City."
Su Jiawen said he wanted to learn how to make it, only for Luo Yu to scorn him. "The person who managed to burn milk wants to learn how to cook."
But Su Jiawen still wanted to try. Luo Yu let him do as he wished.
On the way to the company, Luo Yu received a call from Shen Qiyin. He had called to wish him good morning, saying that he knew who the person behind Jiang Qi was; it was a newly inducted minister.
Luo Yu inquired, "How do they know each other?"
"I asked my dad, he said n.o.body knows how they met," Shen Qiyin relayed. "Be careful. Have your dad ask around too."
Luo Yu lowered his voice and said got it. He was just about to hang up when Shen Qiyin asked again, "Oh right, Su Jiawen……You're still not sick of him?"
Luo Yu's head felt big upon hearing Shen Qiyin bring up Su Jiawen. But Shen Qiyin refused to let him off easy, continuing to inquire, "I heard Jiang Qi wants to buy him from you for five million?"
"Well your news is up to date," Luo Yu responded icily.
Shen Qiyin was pretty close with Zhou Zihao, so it wasn't a surprise that he knew. Luo Yu didn't want to waste time talking with him and was just about to cuss him out, when he was interrupted by Xing Licheng's phone call.
Luo Yu switched calls. Xing Licheng's voice was abnormally solemn. "Mr. Luo, there's trouble at Aomori Pier."
Aomori Pier was one of Luo Yu's properties. It wasn't big, but was close to one of the laboratories owned by Huan An Technologies. The laboratory dealt in biochemistry, and due to its proximity to the pier, often housed certain sensitive goods. Because of this, trouble at Aomori Pier implied something different than trouble at any of the other piers.
Luo Yu hung up and told the driver to make a U-turn. They headed to Aomori Pier.
"The inside of a container caught on fire." Xing Licheng seemed to already be at the laboratory. There was a cacophony of noise beside him. "It originally contained the things A·L sent over."
After A·L had returned to country A, his father had gotten in contact with Luo Yu a few times, but all talks of the new transport line had ended.
A while ago, A·L had communicated to Luo Yu that he had a gift for him. It would be reaching his pier soon.
Luo Yu knew what he was trying to get at, so agreed.
Lu Yi was sitting in the pa.s.senger seat. His phone rang too. He picked it up and softly spoke with the other for a few minutes, then turned around to interrupt Luo Yu's pondering. "Mr. Luo, it's Zhen Ting's Jiang Qi."
Luo Yu c.o.c.ked an eyebrow. Everything was happening at the same time.
"He said……" Lu Yi hesitated before saying, "Zhen Ting didn't burn the container at Aomori. He wants to talk to you directly."
The corners of Luo Yu's lips twitched. He nonchalantly picked up the phone. On the other side, Jiang Qi greeted him naturally.
"Mr. Luo." Jiang Qi said, "h.e.l.lo, this is Zhen Ting's Jiang Qi."
Luo Yu didn't speak; he was waiting for Jiang Qi to continue.
"Actually I have personal business too," Jiang Qi cut straight to the point. "May I ask how much you've considered the issue with Su Jiawen?"
Luo Yu truly thought Jiang Qi was interesting, so answered, "I'm not considering it."
Jiang Qi continued to try, "If you let Su Jiawen go, I can guarantee that Zhen Ting won't touch Huan An's business anymore."
"Oh? Who the f.u.c.k are you?" Luo Yu's tone became chilly. "Is Zhen Ting's surname Jiang now?"
"I would only say this because Ah Zheng agreed, of course," Jiang Qi said. "I can also provide you with some information regarding A·L."
"Not necessary, thanks." Luo Yu hung up and returned the phone to Lu Yi. Shen Qiyin called again.
Luo Yu took a couple of deep breaths before picking up.
"You hung up on me!" Shen Qiyin accused. "All for Su Jiawen?"
Luo Yu moved the phone away from his ear. "I had serious business."
Shen Qiyin's personality since young was to never give up until he had gotten what he wanted. Ever since he went back to the capitol, every new lover he had reminded him of Su Jiawen. Thus, he forgot his pride and came to ask Luo Yu for him. "You might as well sell him to me."
"You don't think he's dirty?" Luo Yu answered impatiently.
Shen Qiyin paused and replied, "We're just sleeping around. It's not like I'm trying to take him home to be my wife."
"Either way, it's not your turn." Everytime Luo Yu thought of the impure thoughts Shen Qiyin had regarding Su Jiawen, he became extremely angry. An idea formed in his head and he told Shen Qiyin, "Jiang Qi offered information on A·L as an exchange."
"You're willing?" Shen Qiyin understood the hidden meaning in his words. He was somewhat surprised.
Luo Yu had always hated being threatened. If he wanted something, he would simply take it; he never bothered with exchanges. But this time, he seemed to be loosening up. It was probably because he had gotten tired of Su Jiawen and was preparing to simply give him to the next owner while also benefiting from the transaction.
"He's just a toy, why wouldn't I be?" Luo Yu mocked. "Unless you think I'm going to fall in love with him?"
Shen Qiyin was put out. "If you have a use for him, then nevermind."
At the laboratory, Luo Yu walked around with the manager, observing the security system and determining if the laboratory had been affected. Then, he went to the pier to see the now unrecognizable self-burning container.
As they stood by the port, Xing Licheng said, "The smell of the ashes was weird. I've already sent samples to the lab."
They walked around the pier a couple of times and saw Shen Qiyin's yacht docked on the other side. Luo Yu strode over. The more he looked at the bright red "Shen Qiyin" on the boat, the angrier he got. He ordered Lu Yi, "Get rid of that graffiti for me."
"This boat……" Lu Yi wanted to remind him that this was Mr. Shen's boat, but was stopped by Xing Licheng, who kicked him. He immediately nodded and agreed.
"Move the palm tree onboard too," Luo Yu pointed to the enormous decorative tree on deck. "Move it to the little garden at home."
After a busy day, Luo Yu walked in his front door, only to hear sounds of ping ping pong pong coming from the kitchen. He couldn't spot Su Jiawen.
He entered the kitchen and saw Su Jiawen place a lump of something into the oven.
The chef stood to the side, wanting to help but not knowing how. Upon noticing Luo Yu's return, she looked like she had seen the Savior. "Mr. Luo."
Su Jiawen set the timer and turned around to smile at Luo Yu.
"What are you doing?" Luo Yu walked over and asked.
"Baking a cake," Su Jiawen responded.
Luo Yu expressionlessly nodded and said, "When you're done, come out and eat."
Su Jiawen and the chef looked at each other, then obediently headed out.
"A palm tree got brought in today." During dinnertime, Su Jiawen told Luo Yu, "Lu Yi brought it over this afternoon."
Luo Yu glanced at Su Jiawen who looked like he was giving a report. He made a sound of "un".
"I think it's the one from the yacht," Su Jiawen added.
After Luo Yu finished eating, he put his chopsticks down and stood up. He expressionlessly looked at Su Jiawen for a few seconds, then went to the study.
At eight, someone knocked on the door of the study.
Luo Yu walked over and opened it. Su Jiawen stood outside, holding a plate; on the plate were the cupcakes he had made.
Luo Yu lowered his own stance and took a bite of the cake under Su Jiawen's antic.i.p.atory gaze. He then spat it right back out onto a napkin.
"That's disgusting." Luo Yu didn't even save a bit of face for Su Jiawen. He pushed the plate away and stood up to go rinse his mouth in the bathroom.
Su Jiawen stood by the table and reached a hand out to pick up a cupcake and eat it. Luo Yu walked back over. Su Jiawen still wasn't convinced. "I think it tastes pretty good."
"Do you think this place is your home?" Luo Yu lowered his head to look at Su Jiawen. His back was against the light, leaving his face in the shadows. Su Jiawen couldn't tell what expression he was wearing, only feeling a cold and overbearing aura from the other.
Su Jiawen glared at Luo Yu, pressed his lips tightly together, and took a step back.
Luo Yu lifted an arm and helped Su Jiawen adjust his collar. He continued, "Or do you think I'm your boyfriend?"
"No……" Su Jiawen refuted in panic.
Luo Yu looked at him a while longer. Su Jiawen's expression became worse and worse. He almost couldn't remain standing. Luo Yu finally smiled at him and asked, "Jiawen, do you really like me?"
Su Jiawen's lips twitched. He seemed to be hesitating, but also seemed to be embara.s.sed.
"Do you?" Luo Yu coaxed.
"Yes." Su Jiawen ultimately admitted it. He still remembered his daring confession last night, but he found it difficult to tell Luo Yu "I like you" now that he was sober.
After all, Luo Yu didn't like him.
Upon hearing Su Jiawen say he liked him, Luo Yu's heart was extremely satisfied. He stroked Su Jiawen's hair. Su Jiawen was much gentler than Abel; he stood there quietly and obediently, allowing Luo Yu to touch him. As soon as Luo Yu removed his hand from Su Jiawen's head, Su Jiawen suddenly asked, "Does it really taste bad?"
"……Really." Luo Yu dealt a hard blow.
Su Jiawen pouted. He carried the cake out.
Xing Licheng told Luo Yu that Jiang Qi was looking for him again. He said the price was up for discussion, but Su Jiawen had to be in perfect condition.
"In perfect condition?" Luo Yu scoffed. "Is he scared I'll kill Su Jiawen or something?"
Xing Licheng could tell that Luo Yu was in a bad mood even from the other side of the phone line. He didn't dare to make a noise. Luo Yu said, "You go negotiate for me. Tell Jiang Qi to consider more carefully, then offer a new price."
Luo Yu sat in the study blankly for a while before heading back to the bedroom. Inside, Su Jiawen was kneeling on the bed, back to him, and reading. Luo Yu walked over to take a look and found that it was a cookbook.
"Switching to learning how to cook?" Luo Yu asked him.
Su Jiawen closed the book and turned around in embarra.s.sment. "I just randomly grabbed it. It's not like I'll be able to learn anyways."
Su Jiawen's appearance was pure, but he seemed to somehow ooze s.e.x appeal. He wore a large, loose bathrobe that left part of his pale chest exposed. Luo Yu stared at him. He took initiative and undid the strings of the robe, then crawled in front of Luo Yu. He rested a hand on Luo Yu's waist and softly asked, "Does Mr. Luo want to do it?"
Luo Yu hummed from his nose, the sound so gentle it was almost indecipherable. Thus Su Jiawen kissed him, starting from Luo Yu's lips and travelling down to his Adam's apple. His hands undid Luo Yu's belt and started stroking his half-hard c.o.c.k.
That night, Luo Yu wasn't gentle with Su Jiawen at all. Practically without any preparation, he forced his way inside. Su Jiawen was in so much pain that even his voice changed. His legs rested limply by Luo Yu's sides, trembling with the strength of his movements.
Luo Yu thought Su Jiawen looked ugly like this, half dead and not quite alive, so flipped him over and took him from behind. Su Jiawen's back was smooth and fine. His b.u.t.terfly bone curved perfectly into his back dimples. His hole, red from the friction, swallowed then spat out Luo Yu's angry erection.
Luo Yu slowed down his pace, but thrust in deeper. Su Jiawen's mouth was closed shut. Luo Yu's upper body was glued onto his back, his movements slow but rough. Rather than making love, this was more of a show of power. He wanted to leave permanent marks on Su Jiawen's body, marks that declared his owners.h.i.+p.
Afterwards, Su Jiawen sprawled out on the side weakly.
After releasing inside Su Jiawen, Luo Yu had made his way into the bathroom. When he walked back out, Su Jiawen was still out of it. Luo Yu pinched Su Jiawen's chin; Su Jiawen looked at him, eyes soft. He called out, "Mr. Luo."
His appearance was unguarded, and he had a naturally dependent air about him. Luo Yu's heart melted upon hearing Su Jiawen say his name. This was the first time that he felt someone come so close to his heart.
But it still wasn't close enough.
Luo Yu patted Su Jiawen's face. "If you've finished resting, go sleep downstairs."
Su Jiawen froze. A few minutes later, he finally stood up.
He was still unsteady on his feet, just like that first time he had met Luo Yu. His legs trembled as he put on his robe again. He looked at Luo Yu and lowly said, "Then I'll go now."
Luo Yu pulled out a book from the shelves in the bedroom and put on reading gla.s.ses. He didn't even glance at Su Jiawen.
Su Jiawen saw that Luo Yu was busy, so left the room; he carefully closed the door behind him. It was at this time that Luo Yu realized he hadn't been able to remember anything he just read. He threw the book off to the side and turned off the lights, agitated.
The next morning, Xing Licheng arrived at Luo Yu's house to pick up a file Luo Yu had left in the study the day before. He ran into Su Jiawen who was returning from walking the dog.
He held onto Abel's leash and walked very slowly, stopping when he saw Xing Licheng. He waved in greeting.
Abel wasn't scared of Xing Licheng. His hackles were raised, but because Su Jiawen was holding onto him, he didn't dare to move. He could only let out low warning growls.
"Abel, no barking." Su Jiawen squatted down to pet Abel's fur. Abel turned his head to the side and b.u.mped Su Jiawen's face before quieting.
He walked beside Xing Licheng. The two silently made their way towards the door. When they were almost there, Su Jiawen suddenly asked Xing Licheng, "Can I ask you a question?"
Xing Licheng stopped moving. He looked at Su Jiawen, not saying yes or no.
So Su Jiawen asked, "Is Mr. Luo going to send me away?"
This was a question Xing Licheng had no authority to answer. He gave a safe response, "I'm not very sure."
"Is he sending me to Jiang Qi?" The hand holding onto the leash was white.
Xing Licheng repeated himself, "I really don't know."
"Oh?" Su Jiawen suddenly turned his face and glanced at Xing Licheng with a smile that wasn't really a smile. Xing Licheng observed Abel who was sniffing at his feet. When he looked at Su Jiawen again, Su Jiawen had already ended up ahead of him. He tugged on the leash. "Abel, time to go home."
After, he took Abel to the garden.
Just finished translating the last chapter of OTL yesterday (so much s.m.u.t and so SWEET) and now I'm buzzing with excitement cause I want to post all of it at once.. but I shouldn't..
