"Junw.a.n.gfei, what if you go to Junw.a.n.gye? I will help Stewart Feng to prepare breakfast for you," Yao Mama patted the back of my hand slowly. I shake my head.

"I will also help Stewart Feng," I refused. Yao Mama smiled.

"I think Junw.a.n.gye has not woken up. He was in the study room's until late at night," Yao Mama looked at me and I understood the meaning of her words and eyes.

"Junw.a.n.gye worked that late? Then I will go to his residence to check his condition," I said and Yao Mama nodded her head.

"Please, Junw.a.n.gfei," Yao Mama lowered her body slightly. I nodded my head and came out of the kitchen. Ling accompanied me walking to my husband's residence. At the door of his room, two maid servant waited. They immediately saluted by lowering their bodies slightly to me.

"Is Junw.a.n.gye awake?" I asked them.

"Junw.a.n.gye hasn't woken up from his sleep, Niangniang (Your Highness)," one of the servants answered me in a small voice. As if afraid that her voice would wake Hui An.

I nodded my head. I raised my hand and gave the cue with my hand so they opened the door to the room. They opened the door slowly. I entered the room and saw that Hui An's bed was still covered with a mosquito net. Sign that my husband hasn't woken up from his sleep.

I looked at Ling and I lowered my face slightly. He understood my point if I asked him to wait outside Hui An's room. I entered the room alone. The room door was closed by them again. I walked closer to Hui An's bed slowly. I opened the bell a little and saw Hui An still sleeping soundly.

I'm glad to see him in a state of sleep like this. He looks calm. Like a child. I touched his cheeks slowly. He opened his eyes.

"Xia He?" He smiled and then pulled my hand so I fell on his body. My head was on his chest so that I could hear his rapid heartbeat. I was shocked and felt ashamed to be in a position like this. Hui An hugs me.

"Why are you here?" He asked me.

"It's already morning. I'm here to wake you up. So we can have breakfast together, Hui An," I said softly and felt my heart beat fast. Hui An holds the back of my head.

"I like your aroma," he said and his words made me feel embarra.s.sed. I immediately took off his hand that hugged me then sat down. He also sat down. I looked in the other direction so he didn't see my face. I'm sure my face is red like boiled crabs at the moment because I feel my cheeks hot. I don't want him to laugh after seeing it.

"Sorry, I just want to tease you a little," he said softly. I nod my head. I walked to the wardrobe in his room.

"I heard that you worked late at night," I said while looking at the clothes in the closet. I chose clothes in sky blue.

"How do you know?"

"Yao Mama told me," I said while putting the clothes on the table.

"I don't want you to get sick. Therefore, don't sleep that late again," I said as I walked towards a large bowl in the corner of the room.

"I'm glad Xia He is worried about my situation. Don't worry! I don't often sleep at late like last night. I was forced because the deadline would arrive. I'll leave for my farmland tomorrow. So everything must be prepared," he said. I sighed at his words. He really know make a reason. I hope he didn't lie.

I took the large bowl and poured water into it. I took the cloth and put it in my hand. I brought the bowl near the bed. Hui An looked at the bowl then looked at my face.

"Wash your face. I'll help you change your clothes," I said to him before he asked. He smiled. He dipped his hands into the bowl and washed his face. I put the bowl on the floor and helped him wipe his face. He smiled again at me.

'Why does my husband smile so easily?' I asked my self in my mind..

"Why are you smiling like that?" I asked him nervously.

"I smiled because I was happy. My wife is very concerned about me. Even doing a servant's job for me," he praised me. I looked at the bowl on the floor. I picked it up and moved it to the table.

"I did what my mother taught me. My mother always does this every day to my father. He did not let the maid do this," I said while carrying his clothes. He stood up. I opened the belt. Actually I really feel embarra.s.sed when I do this. However, I remember my mother's advice to do this. She said that before I left Yun Manor yesterday.

"I understood why Yun Master had never taken a concubine," he said and I stared at him sharply.

"So if I don't do this like my mother, then you will take Concubines?" I asked him. My voice sounded tense

"Not. I will not take Concubine. For me there's only Xia He," he said cheerfully. I was fascinated by the expression on his face. I avoided eye contact with him because of embarra.s.sment.

I also feel guilty. Why am I annoyed to accuse him of intending to take Concubine? If other people hear my question, they will accuse me of being a jealous woman. And jealous women are considered as unwise women.

There is no prohibition for a man to take many women and make her his concubine. However, since I married him, I don't like to think about it. I'm not happy if he takes a concubine. However, why do I feel this way? Why do I want to dominate him? Even though I'm not sure about my feelings for him.

I sighed then looked at his face again.

"Hui An, I'm sorry if I say badly," I said softly, but he laughed instead.

"I'm glad to hear you talk curtly like that. Especially when discussing women's issues," he said. I was annoyed to hear his words. He embraced my shoulder.

"Why is your face as red as that?" He asked and I immediately covered both of my hot cheeks with my hands. I glared at him. He laughed again.

"Enough! I'm tired of laughing," he said then smiled at me. I sighed and forced myself to look calm. I continued my work to help him get dressed. Really doing this, makes me feel a little short of breath.

'Mother, is your advice useful? Or just to embarra.s.s me?' I complained to myself. Finished helping him get dressed so I helped him smooth his hair. I curse in my heart. Why I am so obedient to my mother's advice.

After all this is over, I feel very tired. I just realized that serving someone can make me this tired. Not only my body is tired, but my mind too.

"Ling, check whether Stewart Feng has finished cooking?" I gave orders from inside the room.

"Yes, Junw.a.n.gfei," Ling answered from outside my room. I sighed and then sat in one of the seats in the room.

"Where do we have breakfast, Hui An?" I asked him. Hui An smiled. He sat face to face with me.

"Just here," he said and I nodded my head. I walked over to the room door and opened it. I approached a waiter who was at the door of the room.

"You go to the kitchen. Convey my message. Junw.a.n.gye wants to have breakfast in his room," I said to the waiter.

"Yes, Junw.a.n.gfei," she replied, then rushed to catch up with Ling.

"The weather has been colder lately than usual. Even though it's still autumn and maple leaves haven't fallen yet," I said, looking out through my husband's bedroom window. I saw the leaves on the maple tree turn yellow. However, it hasn't fallen from the branch. Autumn hasn't arrived in it's end.

"I was also surprised by the current conditions. Therefore, I must immediately go to my farm. I was worried about their condition," he said and I wrinkled my forehead.

"Worried?"

"I'm worried about the farmers," he replied. I'm surprised to hear that. Why is my husband worried about farmers who do not pay their obligations? He should have been angry with them because they had violated the agreement.

"Should I come with you?" I asked him. I'm afraid that my innocent husband will easily be deceived by the peasants. They might pretend that their farm doesn't produce good results. They might say if they experience crop failure.

"You don't have to come along. This trip is quite far. I don't want to make you tired," he said calmly. I want to say the reason I want to accompany him to go to his farmland. But I held back my words. I don't want him to feel that I think he's stupid. I sighed.

"Okay," I replied reluctantly

After that we are silent. Even after breakfast arrived, we ate quietly. There are no more conversations.

"Benw.a.n.gfei (my consort), I will leave now," Hui An said to me in front of the w.a.n.gfu gate. I nod my head. Today, my husband will leave. the sun hasn't risen. The situation is still dark.

Since yesterday, we didn't talk much. My husband is busy preparing everything he needs. I saw a line of guards who would accompany my husband to his farmland. They all disguised themselves as merchants. My husband do that too. This makes me feel relieved.

"I am and Yao Mama made some kinds of cookies that you can eat on your trip, Junw.a.n.gye," I said to him while handing over a wooden food box. I covered it with a cloth. Hui An accepted it.

"Thank you,"

"I also prepared several types of herbs. I have entrusted it to your personal bodyguard, "

"Thank you,"

"You have to take herbs that I give every day,"

"Yes. I will drink it regularly, "

"Promise me that you will hurry home?"

"I promise," he said then hugged me. I was surprised by his att.i.tude. He did not feel embarra.s.sed to hold me in public like this. I pushed his body slowly. I hold my cheeks that feel hot.

"I will come home soon," he said while holding both of my shoulders. I nod my head. He walked over to Yao Mama.

"Yao Mama, I leave Xia He to you. Please take care of him well," Hui An said to Yao Mama while holding her hand. Yao Mama nodded her head.

"I will look after Junw.a.n.gfei well," Yao Mama said. I saw the expression on my husband's face. He looks relieved. He walked over to the horse carriage and went up. The guards who led in front immediately gave a signal.

"Depart!" The group leader shouted.

I stood before the gate until the group could no longer be seen.

"Junw.a.n.gfei, let's go in! The day is still dawn. Very cold weather. You better come in so you don't get sick,"Yao Mama who was standing beside me invited me. Reluctantly, I nodded my head. I also entered w.a.n.gfu.
