He raced to one side of the doors and into the cloakroom alcove, a short while later returned with three navy-blue and black trimmed stiff peak caps with the gold Evadale Knight star gleaming in the middle of the cap's central area, and double black belts with dual pouches attached.
"These pouches are your school bags. Made with magic for never-ending s.p.a.ce to contain anything. I mean anything. You could stow a chair in there if you wanted. The magic sucks the object in like an Ambry Port minus the bird. You hold the item to the pouch's b.u.t.ton, say 'denda', and it does the rest. Tap the b.u.t.ton, say 'oharra' plus the name of the object you want, it'll be released." Wilfred explained as he handed a belt to us to put on.
"Make sure Small Cap doesn't get lost in them if he crawls inside." He added the extra disclaimer.
"The cherry on top. Your school caps. More than hat wear, these caps will keep you grounded during magic practice." He handed Death and War their caps and slammed mine own over my head with a chuckle.
"Fresh." I groaned.
His chuckles became whispered laughs to Jensen.
"Now what?"
"It looks like someone got lucky." Jensen smirked.
I glanced to Death, noticing the tightness of his jaw and shook my head for Jensen to not say any more. Jensen got the hint and turned to open the front door.
"We look like Station Masters." I laughed at the sight of Death and War as they stepped down to the white-stone paths towards the rose bushes.
War grinned and made a flourished bow.
We followed the knights along a new path that brought us before enormous wrought iron gates that had the Evadale Knight star symbol fas.h.i.+oned at the center amongst pattern vine leaves.
Wilfred moved his hand over a flat panel towards the side of the gates, making the panel glow with the shapes of a bird, cat and another bird symbol.
"Kinetic plates that are embedded with a lock combination. To trigger the lock, you think of the symbols whilst saying the word 'unlock' in your mind as you pa.s.s your palm over the plates." Wilfred instructed us.
"Got it." War noted.

We waited for the gates to open and stepped out onto a pleasant looking cobblestone path, where tall maple leaf trees provided a dense canopy on either side of the path to drop their lush bright orange, red and yellow leaves to the ground.
The area was void of people and other buildings aside from the enormous white complex of box like buildings creating a circular surrounding for a moonstone pillar tower with a silver and gla.s.s domed roof that seemed to touch the bright blue sky.
"Evadale Knight Academy." Jensen labelled the buildings at the end of the path, as he slapped my back and went on ahead.
I sighed and followed the knights, marvelling at the wonder I had only seen in Velvet Rose newspaper anthologies and journals. So, this was what a school looked like. I hoped in my heart it was a place of learning like Gat s.h.i.+em. If so, I was all sorted.
