(1) THE VICE CHANCELLOR
This is the administrative head of the school. He is more like the school princ.i.p.al in your secondary school. He is the number one person in the school and he oversees all that goes on in the school. He is simply addressed commonly as the V.C., an acronym from the first letters of the two words, Vice Chancellor. He is the CEO (Chief Executive Officer) of the school. By const.i.tution, he is meant to occupy the seat for a number of years after which he relinquishes the post for someone else. He is chosen through a voting process. The appellation, V.C. is commonly found in the universities; polytechnics use the word "Rector" for the same officer while colleges of education use "Provost."
(2) THE DEPUTY VICE CHANCELLOR
As the name implies, is the Deputy of the Vice Chancellor (V.C.) and is commonly addressed as the D.V.C. He is more like the Vice Princ.i.p.al (V.P.) in your former school and his main duty is to a.s.sist the Vice Chancellor (V.C.) in the day to day running of the school. Due to the magnitude of the tasks attached to the office, there is the possibility that there will be more than one Deputy Vice Chancellor in your school. You could have D.V.C. Academics, D.V.C Administration, etc, all depending on the size of your school.

Is the Chief Administrative Officer of the school. He is responsible for all administrative matters in the school. He is the Head of the Registry as well as the Secretary of the Senate. The Registry of most schools has other subdivisions like the Students' Affairs Division, the Academic Division, the Establishment Division, the Council Division, the General Administrative Division, etc.
(4) THE BURSAR
Is the Chief Account Officer of the school. He is responsible for the collection of fees from students on behalf of the school. The fees could be school fees, examination fees, health fees, sport fees or any other fees the school may require students to pay. Unlike your secondary school, he may not be there physically to collect the money, but he recommends the collection centers where the money will be paid, be it any of the banks on your campus or at the faculty offices. Beyond collection of fees, he is also responsible for the disburs.e.m.e.nt of the funds collected to all the faculties
and departments of the school. Due to his privileged position, he advices the school authority on how to manage the fund of the university.
(5) THE LIBRARIAN
Is responsible for managing the School Library and safe keeping of the materials, including research
publications, journals, magazines, textbooks, newspaper, booklets, pamphlets, and other resource
materials.
(6) THE DEANS
Are the Heads of the Faculties. Each faculty has a Dean who oversees the administration of the faculty. He is also the academic head of the faculty. In some colleges, he is known as the Provost.
(7) THE HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT
Is the presiding officer over a particular department. He is addressed as the HOD
(8) THE CHAPLAIN
He is in charge of the Christian community on campus. He sees to the smooth running of the Christian Religious activities on campus.
(9) THE SENATE
This is the highest ruling body on campus. It is the governing body of a university.
(10) THE STUDENTS' AFFAIRS DIVISION
The office of the Student's Affairs Divisions handles all that has to do with students' welfare on campus. Specifically, it handles students' accommodation problems, NYSC postings, and counseling on critical issues.
(11) THE STUDENT UNION EXECUTIVES
These are the elected officers among the students. They are spokesmen for the students before the school authority. They are elected every year.
