"Uhm, Kyaga?" Asked Itaka unsure.
Kyaga stopped walking and turned around. "Yeah?"
"How do you know that the North gate is the right one?"
Kyaga looked at him questioning before he realized it. "Oh, you're right. There are three entrances."
In the hurry, he forgot that Zeiwit was closed in its giant town walls, where you could only get in from the North, South or West entrance. In the East, there was a big Citadel which was as sealed off as possible, so it could serve as a last retreat place. Or at least that is how it was, before... you know...

The gates itself were not guarded, but in case of an attack, you could close them and use them as a defensive tool. Not that there were any attacks on cities in AOS in the normals sense, but sometimes there were boss raids in which players had to gather in a city and defend it for rewards. There were also surprise raids. These were Raids without any notice and would trap people who were currently in a city to fight the enemies. Then you could either log off and get a 24-hour ban for quitting while being in a fight or commit to it and defend the city.
As a low-Level Player in such a high-Level surprise Raid, logging off wouldn't have made such a big difference either though. Because if you died ingame, your Resp.a.w.ntimer was exactly 24 hours; just like the ban. Items, Levels and other valuables would, of course, stay with the player and he wouldn't lose them after dying.
That left Kyaga wondering though and he stopped abruptly from walking again, to the surprise of s.h.i.+zu who was walking right behind him and b.u.mped in top him.
"Hey! What are you doing Kyaga!" She said annoyed because she almost tripped.
"Sorry, I was just wondering..." He said, still in thought before he stopped talking again.
"Wondering what?" Asked s.h.i.+zu still annoyed. She tried to straighten out her outfit, which was a bit drawn from the b.u.mp.
"What happens if we die in here?"
s.h.i.+zu and Itaka got quiet.
"I... don't know..." Itaka said a bit hesitant. "But I don't want to find out either.
"I'm sure you just get logged out or something. Why should it be scary or something?" Asked s.h.i.+zu, whereupon Kyaga and Itaka looked at her baffled.
"You really think that something 'X-Out' our Logout b.u.t.ton, but if you die ingame, you just get logged out normally?" Asked Itaka, still no knowing if she was just sarcastic or really, in his eyes, that ignorant.
"Look s.h.i.+zu, we don't want to think negatively now, or be pessimistic and just cry or whatever." Kyaga said explanatory, "but you have to see it realistically. This doesn't seem to be a game anymore, okay?"
s.h.i.+zu looked terrified but quickly nodded towards him. "Okay, okay." She sighed, trying to cool down again. "You are right, I'm sorry. I should stay cooled and focused." And you could see that she tried just that. She tried to be as determined and focused as always, but she failed miserably. But there was also nothing that Kyaga and Itaka could do, other than just letting her be. They were both not the best with words in cases like that.
