Not saying this wasn't good, h.e.l.l this may work even better than a dumb a.s.s c.o.c.ktail party.
"Yes. We, a.s.sa.s.sins hate to have formal parties. They are too boring that way so we go to clubs around the city and show off our skills on the dance floor." Dylan answers me, his mouth so close to my ear that it made me feel strange.
Dylan was nice and he reminded me so much of my Barack, probably why I've grown more attached to him. However, I have to keep reminding myself that it's not him.
He's not my dead mate...
"Strange. I've never even been to a club. My mate and I met before I came to drinking age so I never had a reason to come to these places. Do they have straight whiskey?" I ask Dylan curious but Ian was quick to answer me this time.
"Yes, but they have lots of other things other than straight whiskey. They have margaritas, c.o.c.ktails, they even might have wine." Ian notes as I looked at him like he was stupid.
"Do I look like a weak drinker, Ian?" I question a little harsher than I liked to but I didn't care. I was known for how much I could drink, flimsy drinks won't get me drunk quick enough.
"Well. No, I-"
"They have shots of vodka," Andrew comments in the background making me scrunch up my nose.
Vodka makes me so l.u.s.tful whether you are the ugliest f.u.c.king person alive or not.

Whiskey at least keeps me on my goal.
"I think I'll pa.s.s on vodka. That c.r.a.p makes me... a little too crazy." I said vaguely but they immediately understood my words because they were shooting orders for vodka. "You son of b.i.t.c.hes," I growl under my breath when Dylan laughed and nudged my shoulder.
"Oh come on. You walked in that." He points out which was true but I didn't think they'd be quick to take it out of context. Hopefully, I could hold my liquor well enough to remember my goal.
"Andrew!" A girl screams through the dancing crowds as he groaned and looked at the purple haired bimbo bouncing over to us. "Oh, darling! How much I've missed you!" She chirps and flung herself onto Andrew's tall frame, practically hanging off him.
"Come on. Let's leave the lovebirds alone." Dylan says, earning dark glares from Andrew when we left them both. Ian trailed behind us, unsure of what to do with the fact that Dylan's hand was on my lower back.
Great.
This may end badly.
We got to the bar before Dylan gave him an order for straight vodka again, Ian sat beside me but kept his gaze out to the dancing bodies. I wasn't sure how to remove myself from this situation but first thing was first.
I needed a drink.
"You said you have a mate? I'm guessing you want to return to him." Dylan says, turning towards me when I sighed and looked down at my lap.
"He pa.s.sed away a few years ago, died protecting me and my children," I told him quietly as his smile disappeared from his carefree face.
Tears p.r.i.c.kled at my eyes and I hated that they were making me feel like a normal person for once, my pack couldn't even do that for the seven months I was there. Yet I've only known these people for less than an hour and felt like they understood me far better than anyone since that accident.
"I'm sorry for-"
"I don't want your pity." I quickly said with a strained smile. "I just want a drink. Now." I forced a laugh and rubbed at my eyes, trying to cover the fact that tears came to them.
"Alright then. We drink to your mate, Miss Nava." Dylan's soft gesture made my heart tighten but the action made me smile happily.
"Okay." I murmur under my breath as Dylan s.h.i.+fted his gaze on the bartender once again.
No one's ever offered to drink to my previous mate...
It feels nice to finally have him acknowledged by someone.
I felt a hand rested on my arm, giving a small squeeze as I glanced over at Ian giving me a small look of pain over his own eyes. That's when I finally realized that he had lost someone close to him, the thought making my defenses drop.
We are so much more similar than I originally believed...
"Here we go. One for Ian, one for me, and three for you." Dylan handed us our drinks while I looked at him confused, Ian's hand disappearing from my arm to grab his gla.s.s.
"Three?" I question but grabbed one of the gla.s.ses.
"Yep. I want you to have fun for your mate, not live in his sorrow. For your mate, Miss Nava." He nodded to Ian and me, clinking our drinks together and tipping his drink into his mouth. Ian followed suit, both of them looking unaffected by the drink as I sighed and brought to shot to my lips.
The burning liquid running down my throat before the next shot was pushed into my hands.

"Do you know how much I f.u.c.king hate heels?" I question both of the men, messing with the shot gla.s.ses around me and glaring down at the shoes.
"If you don't like them, take them off," Dylan says as I nodded and stabbed a finger into his shoulder.
"You're right. You f.u.c.kers wear heels and tell me how it feels." I growl, removing my finger and holding it with my other hand. "Ow. Your chest is hard." I bluntly said making them laugh at me.
I reached down for the clasp of the heel, needing it off but knowing that I wouldn't have any balance if I were standing due to my drunkenness. My body leaned forward before falling onto Ian on accident.
"Oh G.o.d... Sorry." I mumbled, pus.h.i.+ng away. The action only sent me nearly falling on the ground but thankfully Dylan grabbed my arm before I could fall. "I'm such a clutz when drinking." I hiccup with a small laugh that made Dylan smirk.
"You're totally wasted." He simply says but doesn't look at all affected making me narrow my eyes.
"And you aren't!" I shout loud enough to draw a few eyes our way but it only made me laugh again.
"Alright. I am taking these d.a.m.n shoes off for you, Navalina. Hold still." Ian grabbed one of my feet causing me to hit Dylan.
"Sorry." I awkwardly patted his chest and tried pus.h.i.+ng away but my clumsiness only made me lean further into him.
"It's alright. Just let him take your shoes off." Dylan chuckles, his voice sounding like Barack's for a split second making me lean into him more.
I didn't say anything, letting Ian take my heels off and Dylan baby me.
Both of the actions caused me to feel cared for and only made me more vulnerable.
But I didn't care.
"There. Better?" Ian asks, placing the heels on the bar while I wiggled my toes and nodded with a smile.
"Much." I glanced out to the dance floor, lots of people dancing with the beat and looking like they were having so much fun. "I want to dance." I murmur, leaving Dylan's grasp and getting up from the small bar stool.
"Okay. I-"
"I'll dance with you." Ian cut Dylan off, getting up from his stool and placing a hand on my back. He led me into the dance floor when I turned around and placed my hands around his neck with a heated smile.
Ian's surprise was apparent on his face but I didn't care.
I was getting to f.u.c.king hot here.
We started dancing, we danced with the rhythm and a few times I felt both of us grinding on one another. Both of us wanting the same thing but having to much fun to leave the dance floor.
Ian was a few inches taller than me which was perfect since he stood out on the dance floor. He had a smile planted on his face at all times and I was so happy that the alcohol actually allowed me to silence my wolf long enough for me to have fun.
I ran a hand through his hair as his hands held onto my waist, my back pressed against his chest when we swayed with the rhythms. I smiled up at him, watching him concentrate on keeping his d.i.c.k in check.
"Ian..." I breathed out loud, feeling him dip his head into my neck while I clawed through his scalp and forced his face away from the sensitive spot. "I need a drink," I mumble, our faces so close to one another before he nodded and pulled us away from the dancing crowd.
We were both breathing hard and heated from the dancing while Dylan spoke with a woman at the bar with a slight frown. I stared over at the bar, the alcohol in my system feeling like it was going to come back up but I forced myself to stumble over to the bar with Ian's help.
Dylan noticed us coming over to the bar as the woman said something else to him. The music and alcohol prevented me from hearing her words but I could tell that it pleased him this time.
"Miss Nava. You both are back. Are you alright?" Dylan questions, completely ignoring the gorgeous woman on his other side. Strange enough, she seemed content and went back to her drink.
"Yes... I needed another drink." I slur with a strained smile. My head started to pound but my body still responding to the heated dance I had just now.
"You don't look so well. Maybe another drink won't b-"
"Here you go. Another few shots for you." Ian pushed two gla.s.ses in my hands, cutting Dylan off as I stared at the alcohol with a sick look. Dylan didn't seem pleased at all when he glared at Ian, who gladly drank on the gla.s.s of brown alcohol.
"a.s.shole, can't you see she's already wasted enough?" Dylan growls, taking the gla.s.ses from me and setting them on the bar. He grabbed my wrist and forced me to sit in the bar stool beside him.
"She wanted one, f.u.c.ker. Don't make decisions for her." Ian growls like a hypocrite and reached from my other arm and tried making me stand. "Come on. Let's go dance."
"She's can't even stand! Back off, Falcon." Dylan stood up, throwing his hand away from my arm as both of them tried sizing each other up. The woman Dylan was previously speaking with slid into his seat beside me.
Her crisp hazel hair looked vibrant and gorgeous as she sipped on her margarita, her black eyes staring at me. Her tight black dress hugged all her curves and revealed a bit of her cleavage, the dark skin peeking from underneath was almost tempting to any man's touch.
I couldn't help but stare at her, wondering why Dylan completely ignored her whole presence when I walked over here. Clearly, this woman was pure G.o.ddess material and I am pure hobo material.
"Sit back and watch the show." She winked at me and nodded to the two men who looked like they were going to murder each other.
"I get that you may like her and you want to take advantage of her, but back off a.s.shole," Dylan warns simply when Ian narrowed his eyes at him and crossed his arms with a smirk.
"Oh. I see now. You want her as well." Ian chuckled and glanced over at me, the look in his eyes making my stomach feel hollow. "She's mine tonight. I will tell you how it felt though. Promise." He grinned up at Dylan's murderous expression while facing me with his hand outstretched. "Come. I can tell we are unwelcomed now." Ian tells me though it was growing hard for me to follow the conversation.
However, I knew he wanted to have s.e.x and so did Dylan.
"I wouldn't grab that hand. It's purely disgusting." The woman beside me whispers as I hesitated and looked at the woman with a confused look.
"How do I know you are disgusting?" I question, slowly starting to sober up but a slur still itching on my voice.
"Give it "
Before she could answer, there was a loud crash in front of us making me jump and fall on the ground. The woman sighed and stood up, helping me off the ground while Ian and Dylan fought one another.
People around the bar screamed in shock of the fight that started as I was steered away from the fight between the men. The woman pus.h.i.+ng past a lot of people while I clung to her for dear life.
I wasn't sure where she was going, but I really needed to throw up right now.
The woman pushed through the doors and got us into a dark alley, everything within me getting thrown up. She hissed at me, pus.h.i.+ng me against the wall when I threw up the alcohol and bits of food I had.
"G.o.d. That's disgusting." She grumbles to herself while flicking her phone out and calling someone and left me to my thing.
My stomach felt so hollow and I was suddenly very hungry whether it was because I haven't had a good meal in a long time or because I threw everything up. My stomach was growling and the scent of deer and other animals filled my senses.
Even if I was drunk, I could still hunt a prey to eat.
The woman was speaking into the phone as I pushed away from the wall and wiped my mouth, backing away from her with loud steps. I felt an arm wrap around my waist making me scream and lash out at the person holding onto me.
"Mother f.u.c.ker! Get away from me-"
"Shut up. They will find you if they hear you." A soft voice whispers, holding my mouth to suppress the volume of my voice. The woman flicked her phone off and spun around to see us.
"Finally you are here. My brother and Ian are fighting inside, Ian has no chance against Dylan. At least not without my encouragement." The woman informs the man behind me as I bite his hand and shoved him away.
"G.o.d d.a.m.n it, woman." The man growled before I fell into another's grasp.
"Nava. Calm down. You are drunk and not thinking right." An authorize voice said, holding me so my face didn't greet the ground.
"My Alpha...? What are you doing here?" I question out loud, completely confused when the door opened and revealed a roughed up looking Dylan.
"That f.u.c.ker's dead. Andrew will be finding out soon but I am going with you all." Dylan tells the woman and looked around before settling his gaze on me. His eyes softened at the sight of me, walking over to me quickly. "Are you okay, Miss Nava?" He asked, grabbing me from my Alpha and cradled me.
"Yeah... Just a little hungry." I admit with a small smile as he chuckled and nodded.
"Alright. Let's get you home and something to eat then." He kneeled down and hooked his arm underneath my legs, pulling me against him when I stared at him shocked.
"This way then Dylan. We will speak more about the leaders of the league later. Right now we must bring her home for treatment." My Alpha tells him while the mage frowned deeply at the sight of both of us so close. I didn't say anything, resting in his hold and loving the feeling of being in someone's hold.
Dylan reminded me so much of Barack...
It made my chest hurt so badly but I didn't show my pain. I buried my face into his shoulder and wrapped my arms around his neck.
I just wanted Barack back...
