Chapter 21: Their Plan

Standing on the forecastle of the bark is a young man who wears the world Navy's uniform. On his shoulder is the symbol of Ensign and on his face is his symbolic childish smile. He is Dylan whose dream is to cross the Horizon in the future.

"I was right! The air is different when sailing on the sea!." Dylan watched the line where the heavens and earth meet. He stands in the direction of the s.h.i.+p's destination.

"Sir, would you like some milk?" Serene teased.

"Of course! I would be glad to!" Expecting a gla.s.s of milk to be served.

"(controlling herself not to laugh) -uahahahaha!"

On his right is a girl seating on a chair. She is no n.o.bility or has any reputation but she is a subject of Dylan's Protection. Her name is Serene. The girl whose skin is as smooth as the cloudless sky and whose eyes are covered by a thick goggle which hides her secret beneath it.

Dylan looked at her and sneered, "What a contrast, a girl who has that name Serene but I can't even see a speck of serenity in her."

As he looked at the girl beside him he noticed her change in behavior. While she is laughing she never dropped the grace and acted princesses like. Laughing with her hand in front of her mouth which hides all of the teeth in contrast to when we are inside the office where she laughs with all her might! Unlike before when she laughs clutching her belly and with mouth wide open.

"Look at her, showing a facade. She is not like this when we are alone. When n.o.body is present her true colors appears. sigh-" he continued.

Within the Master's deck, Allen is looking at the window as he watches the pair in the forecastle. He is the captain of the s.h.i.+p and it is his words which holds absolute priority.

There 4 s.h.i.+ps that are currently sailing towards the North-East sea. It has been 3 days since their departure from the Naval Harbor. Currently, each of the crews is busy of their responsibilities and lookouts for any sightings of the Blue Demon.

Looking at Serene from the main deck is a young Lieutenant. Within the s.h.i.+p, he had 3 Confidants who are with him right now.

"Sir, that girl is quite pretty don't you think?" An Ensign smirked. He is one of the young Lieutenant's confidant. One look at his face, you'll know he is up to something no good.

"I heard she is under that ensign's protector." Another one of the confidant's said.

"Ensign? Is that man not an attendant? Is the girl from a big family?" The lieutenant asked as he kept his eyes locked on to the face of the laughing girl. His name is Damien. He came from a family of Magnates. He became a lieutenant by his influence, but although he became one through his family's connection, he himself does have the ability to become a lieutenant.

So it is no wonder that there are Naval officials who do favors for him.

"No, sir. But she is not from a n.o.ble birth. At most, she should be a commoner. She was only under the protection because of the last incident that happened due to the Red Feather Pirates."

"Is that so?"

"We also heard that the Ensign is new. He became an Ensign 3 months ago."

"Sir, what if we try to pressure that ensign? I heard, he hasn't been a.s.signed to a s.h.i.+p yet. Surely, with you a lieutenant here, he should obey and maybe we can get to have that girl." One of them evilly smirked as he devised a plan.

The other confidant's also smiled as they agreed on that devious plan. Within the crews of the s.h.i.+p lead by Captain Allen, this lieutenant and his 3 confidants who are ensign are known as the bullies. They are the ones who abuse the new recruits the most. Now, they seem to be eyeing a girl who is under Dylan's protection.

"Then let's do that."

The four of them retreated and went back to their works. Within the s.h.i.+p, they won't dare to slack. They only had the time to gossip because of their break time.
