Right in front of her building at 9:00 pm on the phone was Catherine Ning .
She just continued to speak on the phone while starring intently at Alex and Katie; finally she got off the phone . She looked at Alex then at Katie and smiled sweetly before saying, "Hey Katie, where are you going? I was on my way up to see you, who is this? Your brother? Or a plutonic friend?" Catherine asked multiple questions that could stutter anyone while with a calm and indifferent tone .
Looking at such a gorgeous woman and not in the sense of cute, innocent but a domineering, powerful and brilliant . Alex felt really drawn to her, something almost familiar about her stature and a slight aura that seemed suppressed .
"Just a friend and not even a close one" Katie hurriedly answered with a forced laughter .
"Oh a not so close friend that you meet by nine, what where you doing? Talking, eating or other?" the questions kept coming from Catherine .
Right now she was the perfect definition of protective sibling, she wanted to make sure nothing happened to her brother heart again, and this guy next Katie seemed strange .
"Hi, I'm Alex . Nice to meet you, you are?"
"Hi, I'm Katie's boyfriend's sister . It's nice to meet you . "
"Ha, well that's a long name do you have a nickname?"
Watching these two have back and forth, Katie decided it would be best to be as unnoticeable as possible .
"You can call me boyfriend's sister that seems more appropriate . " Catherine replied then turned to face Katie, my brother asked me to give you this and he said he will personally pick you up tomorrow . "
Catherine pa.s.sed a luggage to Katie, while looking from the corner of her eye at every reaction and face change that Alex had .
'For a first cla.s.s spy, you certainly suck' Catherine sneered inwardly
"Oh, where are we going?"
"I don't know, all I know is he…" Catherine stopped mid-sentence and looked towards Alex as if asking him why he was still around .
Getting the gist Katie hurriedly said, "Hm, alex you should go . "
"Yes I should, dinner was amazing, and I look forward to our parents finally meeting each other" Alex deliberately replied enjoying the murderous look coming from Catherine .
"Yh, considering you and Katie are friends she would definitely invite you to her wedding with my brother and obviously Katie's parents will be there and you are welcome to bring your parents along . " Catherine said right back to him; you should never expect to beat Catherine at verbal battles
