She had felt knowledge directly enter her brain; words. She had instantly learned the words of three different languages and even how to read them. Eledor had told her that those books had been magical books infused with entire languages. Apparently, they cost a great deal and were hard to come by, but for him it was no big deal.
The languages were that of the Elven Kind and two neighboring kingdoms. Tele'kenar of the Elven Kind, Kon Rithian of Kon Rithia and Telsarian of the Kingdom of Telsaar. The Elven Kind was naturally a nation of Elves; although it did hold many other species too, they were all of much lower status.
Kon Rithia was a nation that held all races in equal regard, and there had been kings and queens of several races. The current royal family, however, was High Human. High Humans were an evolved form of humanity, even rarer than High Elves. High Elves weren't necessarily the evolved form of elves, they just held themselves in the highest regard, and the Imperial family of the Elven Kind was all High Elves, and it had always been so.
High Humans, however, were evolved. This was rather special, since humans and elves couldn't evolve like Goblins and other monsters. They either had to evolve naturally through growing as a race, which could take millions of years, or through some special means. The High Humans had come to be through this special method.
They had very long lifespans, even longer than elves in most cases, but they had an even harder time breeding, as a result. It would also take two High Humans to create another one. If a High Human impregnated a normal human, the child would be a normal human, and would not be of the direct lineage of the royal family; it would be sent to a branch. The same was true if a female High Human was impregnated by a normal human.
Telsaar, however, was the direct opposite of the Elven Kind and Kon Rithia. They were a pure human, authoritarian, militarist, slaver nation. They enslaved any and all races other than humans, and had several n.o.ble houses of High Humans. Naturally, the King and his family were High Human too. Although they called themselves a kingdom, they were more of a sprawling empire. They were even bigger than Kon Rithia and the Elven Kind put together. However, Kon Rithia and the Elven Kind were allies, so Telsaar couldn't do much against them. If an all-out war really did happen, it would be hard to say who would win.
The soldiers of the Elven Kind and Kon Rithia were naturally stronger, but Telsaar had the numbers as well as its slave armies.
This was all stuff that Eledor had taught Min. A basic knowledge of the kingdoms around here was necessary, and some history would also do her good.
Thus, she spent her mornings practicing reading and writing. She had used the books, but they didn't necessarily make her any good at writing or reading, so she needed practice. In the beginning, her writing looked like that of a toddler's, but she quickly progressed, since she had a relatively high Dexterity.
After that, she spent an hour or two learning about history from Eledor. Eledor told her that when she got better at reading, he wouldn't waste time teaching her history himself; at least not all the time. He still had a mine to manage, after all. She also spent some time learning basic mathematics.
After that, it was time for practical skills; cleaning, cooking, maintenance, that sort of stuff. Eledor had her clean their entire abode by herself, every day, then cook their meals, using cooking apparatuses brought from the elven cities, like the oven. The first couple of meals had been some sort of charred black mess.
"I think we'll save this for later, in case we need to execute someone. It would serve well as a lethal injection, I think," Eledor had said.
After that, it was time for combat skills. She still needed to practice her Archery and Short Blades. No spy could be completely defenceless in case something went wrong. All in all, she spent every wake moment of her life learning something or training. Even when she ate, she had to eat like a lady.
She also spent a couple hours learning artistic skills like painting and drawing, and a host of other things necessary for a courtesan.
Eledor was a very harsh teacher, too. If she made a mistake, he would beat or whip her. If the mistake was particularly grave, he would whip her until her back was b.l.o.o.d.y and she lay unconscious on the floor, or beat her into a purple pulp. Then, after a while, he would heal her into peak condition. There wouldn't be a single trace of injury left. Not a single scar or bruise.
This, too, was some sort of training. She had been told that many men enjoyed something called BDSM. Eledor would f.u.c.k her silly in painful positions, sometimes tying her with ropes or whip her a.s.s, while pounding it. He would **** her; or at least he would try, but he was disappointed to find that Min was never actually unwilling to have s.e.x, even when she got beat. Well, it was a good thing, he supposed.
It made training her easier. After two months, she had learned a great deal. She had progressed in almost all her skills, and had gained a host of new ones.

This was her skills menu currently. A total of 13 skills had reached level 10 already! This gave her 13000 XP! She had reached level 18 from 12. She now had 18 attribute points to spend as well, and to add on that, 3 skills were close to reaching level 20. Calligraphy, Pickpocketing and Lockpicking were all skills that required nimble fingers, and Min had found that she had nigh unnatural talent for skills that used her hands and fingers. If she spent more time painting and drawing, they might be close to level 20, too!
She had invested her points in the way Eledor instructed, which made her Status Window look like this,

Increasing her Dexterity increased her skills with her hands even more, and she also apparently gave one h.e.l.l of a hand job. The last hours of her night was spend in training something that wouldn't yield any Skills; s.e.x. She was taught how to best please a man, using both her hands, mouth, v.a.g.i.n.a and a.s.s.
Eledor had her f.u.c.k several elves every day, and there were even females included. Many of them were unwilling to f.u.c.k a Goblin, but orders were orders. Although, Eledor usually only had the willing ones come.
In these months, the elves had also cleared a large number of trees outside the cave. Around the cave entrance, they had built a twenty-meter large tower, made of pure white marble. The construction had been quite a spectacle, too. A number of mages had used some sort of magic, to make the marble sprout out of the ground, forming this intricate tower! It really did look like a work of art. It had complex patterns on the walls, and beautiful windows, tinted in several different colours! Eledor, Min, and Kazz had moved into the top of the tower. It was quite a bit more comfortable than the caves.
They had also surrounded the area outside with walls, to block any potential invaders.
The third month of her education pa.s.sed. Her three level 19 skills levelled up on the same day, somehow, giving her an additional 6000 XP. She levelled up.

Hobgoblin

Hobgoblins are the evolved variant of the Goblin. They are stronger, faster and smarter than their counterpart and live for twice as long. Their appearance is more humanoid. Their stature is taller, their skin is paler and their ears are shorter.]
Min was accompanied by her Master and mate as it happened. Her Master had been quietly reading a book, and Kazz had been acting as her pickpocketing target. Her hand was still in Kazz's pocket; the screen had startled her, thus making Kazz aware of her advances. He had been about to announce that he caught her, which was a rare thing these days, but stayed silent when he saw Min staring into nothingness.
All of a sudden, Min started growing taller right before him. When she stopped growing, she already stood 20 or 30 cm above him, making her about a meter and half in height. Then her ears shrank, while her b.r.e.a.s.t.s and b.u.t.t grew slightly bigger, to fit her larger body better. When it all finished, her outfit seemed a bit too small. Her top just barely covered her b.r.e.a.s.t.s; they only acted to hide her nipples, but still revealed most of the skin on her b.r.e.a.s.t.s. Her b.u.t.t was revealed even more, completely revealing the bottom part of her a.s.s cheeks. It wasn't too hard to see her p.u.s.s.y either.
Then her skin changed. At first, it only grew paler, but when it had grown sufficiently pale, it started changing colour. She went from a pale green, to a pale blue, with a tinge of a pale red, perhaps pink, hue. Her hair had turned into a silver colour, and her eyes had turned black as the night, with a white light, where her iris should be! The sclera was entirely black! Her change startled Kazz and shocked Eledor. A blue screen appeared in Min's vision.

Holy s.h.i.+t! She knew that it was normal to gain a boost of 2 points in every attribute, but she had gained 6 whole points in Intelligence and Wisdom! This was unheard of! At least to her. She knew that Gobu had gained 4 points in strength when he became an Orcish Hobgoblin, but that was only an extra 2 points in one attribute. Min had gained an extra 4 in two!
After evolving, she would gain 4 points per level. That meant a normal evolution would be the equivalent of levelling 4 times, since they gained 16 extra points. But Min had gained 24 points! This was like levelling up 6 times! She felt great!
"What the h.e.l.l? Why are you blue? You look like a Goblin from the Ice Wastes. What exactly did you evolve into?" Eledor asked.
"I evolved into a Dark Hobgoblin! I even got an extra six points in Intelligence and Wisdom!" Min announced. Eledor looked excited, but Kazz was a bit downcast. It bothered him that his mate was much stronger than him now. Min head already reached level 20, while he was still only level 13.
"Haha great! This colour looks much better too," Eledor said, as he walked closer. With great fervour, he started expecting her closely. He stripped her naked and started touching her all around.
"Hm, this is good. Your b.r.e.a.s.t.s and a.s.s have grown a bit bigger, comparatively speaking, and they're even softer than before. Get down on your fours," he ordered her. Min obeyed, and immediately got down to the floor. Her mouth immediately got wet with saliva at the thought of her Master's c.o.c.k entering deep into her new bodies' p.u.s.s.y.
She felt an intense radiance of pleasure spread through her, when his length finally entered all the way inside her, spreading her moist walls apart, go let his c.o.c.k inside her! Eledor gave her a hard smack on the a.s.s, while Min was gasping in pleasure.
"Holy s.h.i.+t, this is amazing! Your p.u.s.s.y is deep enough to fit my entire c.o.c.k inside you, and it's even tighter than before!" Eledor said.
"Master, please, f.u.c.k me! I beg of you, f.u.c.k me hard! f.u.c.k me like I'm a thing, like I'm yours! f.u.c.k me right here, in front of Kazz!" Min begged. She felt an urge to be f.u.c.ked so hard she'd faint. She felt a need to be shamed and humiliated like never before! This feeling was new to her, but she didn't care. She loved it!
Eledor responded by pounding her behind harder than ever before. Every time he slammed into her, a slap resounded through the entire tower, and she even lost some health from time to time. She came repeatedly, and it didn't take long before her a.s.s was swollen and covered in red and purple bruises.
She was moaning uncontrollably, every time his huge c.o.c.k slammed against the entrance to her womb, not able to speak a single word! She could only look hungrily at Kazz's crotch, and try to lure him over. It didn't take long until he caught on and immediately took his c.o.c.k out and shoved it into her mouth. She sucked on it furiously, as Kazz skull f.u.c.ked her. She managed to get it out for just a moment, so she could manage to speak a few words.
"AAahh! Ahh! Shame me! Humiliate me! Aaah, slap me! Choke me!" She screamed, looking at Kazz hungrily. Kazz looked at her with amused eyes. This was new, but he quite liked it. He was annoyed that she was stronger than him and had a better status than him. So, he decided to vent on her.
He gave her a hard slap on the cheek with enough force to kill a child. Then he gave another one on the other side. Min squealed in pain and delight! Then, he put his thumbs into her mouth and stretched wide, causing even some blood to appear, while he f.u.c.ked her throat without mercy. Eledor had started whipping her back, while he kept f.u.c.king her p.u.s.s.y, pounding her a.s.s!
Min was tearing up and snot was leaking through her nose, but she did nothing to stop them. They kept f.u.c.king her, until they finally came inside her. Kazz was choking her, as he sent streams of s.e.m.e.n into her mouth, making her gurgle for air!
When they finally let go, she gasped for breath, and even lost consciousness. However, that had been her goal in the first place, hadn't it? To be f.u.c.ked so hard she'd faint! Min had a very satisfied look on her face, as Eledor looked at her in amazed confusion. He had f.u.c.ked her so hard that her pelvis had been practically pulverised. She was going to need quite a bit of healing magic before she could walk again.
Looking at the state of her body, though, it was no wonder. Her a.s.s and face was swollen to an unrecognisable degree, her throat was purple and her back was covered in the b.l.o.o.d.y marks of a whip. Her health had dropped to a dangerous degree. The two had completely lost control in the excitement of her new evolution.
Eledor immediately got started on healing her, starting with her face. Her face had become even more beautiful after the evolution, but now it was a mess. Eledor quickly got her to a somewhat presentable state, though.
"That was intense," she said.
"d.a.m.nit, it freaking hurts!" She then continued, clenching at her thighs and hip, which was strangely soft and squishy, as if she didn't have any bones there.
"Yeah, that got out of hand. You won't be able to walk for at least a month. Well, you might be able to walk with support in a week or so. I utterly destroyed your hip bones! Luckily for you, I can fix it, since healing is one of my secondary expertises," he said, as he started on her hips and a.s.s. After a moment, he took her into a princess hold, and started carrying her into her room.
"What kind of magic do you do anyways, Master? Also, when are you going to teach me magic?" She asked.
"I'm a master of Light Magic, but I also dabble in Darkness. I'm no master in it, but I'm enough to teach you for now. I would be a better teacher for you, if you had affinity for Light, but then again, I would have no need for you, if that was the case. Having a dual affinity in Dark and Light is very rare, too," Eledor said as he laid her down on the bed. Kazz was following him from behind.
"As for when I'll start teaching, we'll begin tomorrow. From tomorrow onwards, you will spend most of your time practising magic. The allotted time for all your other skills will be halved. I'll also have someone else do the cleaning and cooking for a while, since you're not in any state to do housework," Eledor said, while slowly healing her lower body.
"Master, how come I like having s.e.x like that, all of a sudden. I mean, I don't think I want to just get a beating, but a beating while having s.e.x arouses me all of a sudden. I want to be humiliated and shamed! I didn't want that before. Although, I will say I don't want to experience it to this degree again, though. The pain is better right now, since Master is healing me, but when you're not healing it hurts like h.e.l.l! And it doesn't arouse Min at all," she said, a little bit angry at the state the men had put her in.
"It seems like your evolution brought a bit of a personality change in you. It gave you a fetish for humiliation. Stuff like that happens sometimes, although I'd say it's rare to get a shaming fetish out of it. You became a completely submissive s.l.u.t. Normally, it's just a change in temperament, like you become calmer, or the opposite," Eledor explained. Min suddenly blushed a bit.
"There it is again! You calling me a submissive s.l.u.t actually aroused me a bit! It's so weird… yet I like it," Min said.
"Of course you do, it's your personality now. And I must say I quite like it. And I bet your mate does too," he said, looking at Kazz.
"He got quite… enthusiastic."
Kazz fidgeted a bit.
"Well, yeah, I did. It was a good way to vent a bit," he admitted. Min looked at him sharply, after hearing his words.
"Vent? What do you have to vent at? You're probably the most relaxed Goblin in the tribe! You get to relax most of the day, while doing an odd job, here and there, while I spend the entire day learning, training and practising, only to get my body smashed by you and Master at the end of the day," she complained, while looking at her discoloured body. Looking at herself, she was actually a bit startled. Not just all her wounds and bruises, but the actual colour of her body. She used to be green, after all, but now she was pale blue, and even a bit reddish here and there, like on her stomach.
"I'm also the one that got you your job. If it wasn't for me, you'd be slaving away in the mines all day," Min continued. It quite annoyed her, hearing her mate say he needed to vent, since he basically slacked off all day. Not that he actually spent all his time resting. He'd even learn a bit Tele'kenar and could read and write a bit too. Although, he was still very far from mastery. At most, he'd be able to say a few simple basic sentences.
If he was stuck in an elven city, he would be able to ask for direction to the tavern, and maybe understand the answer. Stuff like that. But he still had a whole lot of free time.
"That's exactly the reason I need to vent! I'm the man, I should be the one caring for you! I should be stronger too, but you've already become a Hobgoblin, while I'm still level 13. Now you're even way taller than me. It's humiliating," he said. Min looked at him, a bit shocked.
"Then why are you with me?" Min asked.
"Because I like you obviously. I'm not going to let the fact that I'm the weaker one in our relations.h.i.+p break us up," Kazz said.
"At least not yet," he then mumbled, looking away. However, Min's sharp ears did catch his words.
"What?! Not yet?! What do you mean not yet?! Are you really going to end our relations.h.i.+p just because I'm stronger than you? Are that small of a man?" Min said, really angry now. If it wasn't for the fact that she was basically crippled right now, she'd probably jump at him.
"Now, now," Eledor finally b.u.t.tered in. Hearing him speak, Min immediately calmed down. To her, her Master's words were law; she would follow his orders without hesitation. The only situation where she might disobey, was if he asked her to kill Kazz, or her parents and siblings.
Although she was very angry with Kazz right now, she still cared for him. If he was to suddenly die now, she would probably break and cry, even with her anger.
"Min, I'm going to stop healing now, so be prepared for the pain. I'll be back in a moment with a pain killer potion, so just bear it. Kazz, you can come with me. It's probably better if you sleep separate tonight, so you can calm down a bit," he said.
"Yes, my Lord," Kazz said, while Min was bracing for the coming pain. When Eledor stopped his healing, Min's face paled and she whimpered a bit. It wasn't at the point where she would scream in pain, though.
If she had been mutilated the same way, without s.e.x, she'd probably have screamed, and fainted after just a few moments, but the s.e.x, coupled with the brutal torture, had given her a sense of ecstasy, which had dampened the pain a bit. Not completely, though.
Eledor walked out, followed by Kazz. While Eledor was fumbling in some drawers, he spoke.
"You know, Kazz, I quite value you and Min. In these three months, I've come to view you as more than just servants. Not quite like you were my own children, but not too far. Maybe like a nephew and niece. Of course, you mustn't tell Min that. It's bad for what I have planned for her. She shouldn't view me as someone who cares for her, but as the Master she must please, no matter what. Anyways, my point is, you're like a nephew to me. And it'd hurt my reputation if my nephew was a Goblin, don't you think? I'd say a Hobgoblin would be much better," Eledor said. Hearing his last words, Kazz's expression brightened.
"You're going to help me?" He asked, very hopeful.
"Tomorrow, I'll help you kill a high levelled beast or two. I know of one pretty close to here. I've been meaning to exterminate it anyway, and killing it should be enough to get you quite a way into the level twenties," Eledor said.
Kazz looked at his Lord, speechless. In fact, he didn't even manage to reply, before Eledor had run off with the pain killer potion for Min. He was ecstatic. He could barely sleep through the night, in his excitement.
When morning came, Eledor and Kazz entered Min's room. Min was already awake, and in a bit of pain, but she was unable to move, so she could only lie there. Eledor walked over to the girl, and gave her a potion.
"Here, this will help with the pain," he said. Min drank it in a single gulp.
"Thanks, Master," she said. Then she looked at Kazz, a bit guilty.
"I'm sorry for las.h.i.+ng out at you, yesterday," Min said.
"I-it's fine. I'm sorry too," Kazz replied. The atmosphere was a bit awkward between the two, but they would probably be fine. What lovers didn't fight from time to time, right? Eledor helped Min sit up, leaning her against the wall, then moved the table to her front.
"Kazz and I are going out on a trip. We'll be back sometime between noon and dinner time. You can spend your time reading, writing or drawing. Whatever you'd like. When we get back, I'll start teaching you magic," Eledor said. Hearing this, Min was excited. This was practically the only day she'd gotten off, since Eledor had come back.
Min really liked drawing, so she would probably spend her time with that. She liked drawing all sorts of things, like her Master and Kazz, her family or perhaps the forest and flowers. She'd gotten pretty good at it, by now. She was nowhere near a masterful level, but she'd already reached level 18. Reaching level 10 meant you were no longer a Novice, but rather an Amateur. Reaching level 20, made you an Apprentice, level 40 made you Qualified. Reaching level 65 made you an Adept, and so on. Reaching the Qualified rank, meant that you were qualified to work in your area. If you were a smith, then you could start making weapons and selling them for a decent price.
A level 40 artist could pain someone's portrait and expect to be paid, although, it wouldn't be a way to make a real living. Only after becoming an Adept painter, could you expect to support yourself off it. Blacksmiths were a bit better off, since they could work in a shop. Most blacksmiths already worked for someone at the Apprentice level, or even the Amateur rank. Blacksmithing was a bit harder after all, and would require a teacher, while painting could be self-taught.
But Skilled painters were all rather well off, especially in the Elven Kind, and Expert Painters were all rich.
Eledor left the tower, followed by Kazz. Kazz was amazed when Eledor had summoned a great eagle to ride on. However, when they were actually riding it, he was scared out of his wits! It was going at speeds he could barely imagine! Only a few minutes later, they had arrived at their location.
They were on a mountain, not too far away from the cave. Eledor had led the Goblin directly to the lair of an Earth Troll that lived in a small cave. The troll scared him just as much as riding on the eagle had, but he was quite surprised when the High Elf easily subdued the beast, to the point where it couldn't even move.
"Kazz, strike the thing with all your might. Leave a few wounds on it," Eledor instructed. Kazz was very nervous, but still slowly edged toward the beast. Then, swallowing all his fear, he struck at it as hard as he could, wielding his steel sword, which had been gifted to him by Eledor. He had said that no door guard of his could wield some crude stone weapon. He even had some simple chainmail, which had been modified to fit his smaller body.
Thus, the sword struck the beast, leaving a shallow wound on its neck. He struck again and again and again, hitting around the same spot every time, however, it only went a few centimetres into its flesh. Nowhere close to wounding it mortally.
"That's good enough. You should get an XP share now," Eledor said. Then, without warning, a bright light flashed from his finger, piercing directly into the Earth Troll's heart, killing it instantly.

Kazz looked at the screens, and quickly chose to evolve into a Hobgoblin. Moments later, he had grown into the appearance of a normal Hobgoblin, a bit taller than Min was. Then, even more screens appeared.

Kazz was in complete shock! This was far beyond what he had expected. He had expected to kill quite a few monsters, and then perhaps reach level 20. But instead, he had killed a single, level 52 Earth Troll, and directly reached level 27! He was now much stronger than Min! He was gleeful! Ecstatic! He felt glorious. However, Eledor quickly woke him up from his stupor, and instructed him how to distribute his points. Kazz took a look at his Status Window, satisfied.

Abilities and Spells]
This was, without contest, the greatest day in his life! He kowtowed to Eledor.
"Thank you, great Lord Eledor Reynorin!"
"Haha, no need to be so formal. What did I tell you about addressing me in private?" Eledor said.
"Oh right, my apologies, my Lord," Kazz said, while standing up.
"Anyways, while we're out here, I might as well have you fight some more. You haven't been in many fights in your life, so you could do with some practise. Let's go," Eledor said. Thus, Eledor dragged him all over the forest and had him fight monster after monster. In the meanwhile, they exterminated many threats to the Goblin hunter parties, which had been one of Eledor's priorities. After all, he had promised to protect them.
When they returned, the bedridden Min was greatly surprised at the new appearance of her mate.
"Kazz, you evolved?! But how?! You were only level 13!" Min stated, finding it unbelievable.
"Lord Eledor help me kill some high-level monsters, allowing me to reach level 27," Kazz said proudly, while puffing out his chest. Min gaped, barely even grasping his words, but then she smiled greatly.
"You're level 27! That's amazing! Amazing! Hehe, now you have no need be ashamed anymore. In fact, you should be the one shaming me! Humi- Ah, there it was again. Am I ever going to get used to that. I still don't get why I want to be shamed so much… I even drew this," Min said, showing them a drawing she had made. It was of the spectacle from the prior evening, or at least how she imagined how it had been.
She didn't really know how it had looked, since she had been having a hard time seeing anything, first with all the tears in her eyes, then when her eyes had swollen, closed tight.
The drawing was of her in the doggystyle position. Eledor was behind her, his c.o.c.k lodged deep inside her, and he was holding his whip high, as if about to hit her. Kazz had his c.o.c.k deep inside her mouth, and was stretching her mouth with his thumbs. Tears were flowing down her face, yet she looked happy, somehow. Her back was riddled in b.l.o.o.d.y stripes, from the whip.
It was quite detailed, and you could even see the bulge in her throat, although the penmans.h.i.+p wasn't too exquisite, it wasn't ugly either.
"I got really excited drawing it, and before I knew it, several hours had pa.s.sed on this one single drawing. I was absorbed in it. Drawing myself in such a position was just so entrancing," Min admitted.
"You know, this is quite good. You still need a lot of practise, but in the future, you could probably make money on erotic art strips if you wanted to. Many men are willing to buy this kind of stuff. Especially those who have a hard time finding anyone to have s.e.x with," Eledor said, as he examined the drawing.
"You like drawing and painting, right?" Eledor asked.
"Yes, I do, Master. Very much. It's my favourite way to spend my free time," Min admitted.
"If that's so, I'll allow you more time to practise it. It's a good skill for a courtesan to have anyway, and you're talented at it. Now, anyways, it's time to learn magic," Eledor said, a smirk on his face. Min brightened, too.
"You're finally gonna teach me?" She asked exited. Eledor nodded his head, and thus he began teaching her Darkness Magic.
Kazz, on the other hand went to visit his father and sister. They would surely be greatly shocked to see him as a Hobgoblin. And they were. He spent some time chatting with them, telling them about the monsters he had killed during the day. Then, he rushed over to Min's family. They, too, were greatly surprised, however, that wasn't his main goal in visiting them. He brought them directly to the tower.
Eledor had asked him to bring them, so they could see their daughter. They hadn't seen her very much in the past three months, but they definitely had to see her after she evolved. And they were even more shocked to see her, than they had been, when they saw Kazz. It was because of her skin colour, of course. They had never seen a blue Hobgoblin before. Eledor told them it was because she had gained a special evolution, which was true, he just didn't tell them what kind.
Special evolutions weren't too rare. Gobu had gotten one, after all.
Then, one week pa.s.sed. After the first day of learning magic, Min got a special message.
[Congratulations! You have learned a Magical Discipline. The appropriate menu has been unlocked.]
[Congratulations! You have learned the Magical Discipline: Darkness Magic.]
[Magical Disciplines
Name:
Level:
Darkness Magic
1]
Min was surprised to see the new menu. She had expected it to be a skill, but this was nice as well. It would keep things more organized.
After the first week pa.s.sed, she reached level 9 in Darkness Magic. Apparently, she learned very quickly indeed. Usually, people needed at least a year to reach the Apprentice rank in any Magical Discipline, but looking at Min's rate, she would probably manage it in a month. After a year, she might even have reached level 40, the Qualified Rank.
Usually, the talented students of magic schools and universities would need four or more years to reach this rank. The average ones, might need ten years. And they had teachers that actually specialized in their elements and disciplines.
Min truly was a Child of Darkness. Eledor was marvelled at her progress, and marvelled at his luck in finding her.
On the seventh day, she learned her first, basic spell. It was a spell called Shadow Cloak. It would shroud her in shadows, making her hard to see in the dark and in shadows. It had no combat use, but it was very useful when she needed to hide or sneak around. Although, it would be of no use in a well-lit room.
A person covered in shadows would be painfully noticeable in the light.
Since she had learned a spell, she got a break, and Eledor took her and Kazz out into the forest for a walk. She couldn't walk on her own, but she had their support. The true reason for this outing was actually to give her some exercise. She need to walk a bit, to strengthen her legs. At this rate, she'd be able to walk fine in a month or so, as long as Eledor used his healing magic on her every day.
Broken bones were hard to heal, and hers had been shattered into hundreds of pieces. It was frankly amazing that she hadn't pa.s.sed out from his pounding, or even died, but Eledor supposed the pleasure had been greater than the pain.
While they were walking, suddenly the ground started shaking. The shaking ground caused Min to lose her footing, and she fell down, painfully clas.h.i.+ng against the gra.s.sy earth! Kazz immediately helped her, while Eledor completely ignored her, and looked towards the caves. Half a minute pa.s.sed, then his face paled completely. His previously golden face was almost white now! He slowly turned to Min and Kazz. He took out two items. One was a flat, round, silver object. The other was what seemed to be a piercing.
"Min, I want you to put this piercing to your navel. It will allow me to find you, if necessary, and give you a small resistance to Light and Darkness. I made it myself," he said. He didn't actually give it to her, but put it on her himself. Min winced at the pain, and nearly screamed. A trickle of blood flowed down her stomach, when he was done. Then he put the silver object in her hand.
"This is a silver coin. One silver coin is worth a hundred copper coins. I want you to go to the city of Teras, in Kon Rithia. You know where it is, yes?" Eledor asked. Min didn't know what was going on, but still nodded.
"Good. There, I want you to take a boat as far away from here as you can. I'm going to go back to the caves. If I die, then you will know, however, if I live, just wait for me. And Min… know that this is an absolute order, one that you may not break no matter what. Do. Not. Follow. Me," he said. Min was shocked and confused. She wasn't even able to reply. Eledor looked to Kazz.
"Kazz, take Min and run! She will guide you, so just run! Run as fast as you can! Do not turn back, and just run! If I die, then the coming times will be hard. Min is crippled because of you and me, so you must take care of her. Getting a healer to help her will be extremely expensive. I must go now. I hope we will meet again," he said, then he disappeared before their eyes.
A moment later, loud explosions started resounding throughout the forest! The ground was shaking and bright lights that shone brighter than the sun itself came from the caves! Kazz was shocked, but he understood the severity of the situation. He didn't say a single word, grabbed Min, threw her over his shoulder, not caring if it hurt or not, then he ran! He ran as fast as he could, going in the direction that Min was absentmindedly pointing at.
Min's mind was shaking! So many thoughts were going through her head. When she was born, and for the first few months of her life, she might have been very stupid, but now she was actually very intelligent for her age and level, especially considering she hadn't specialized in Intelligence and Wisdom. But her evolution had given her 6 points in both attributes, making for a grand total of 21 Intelligence and 12 Wisdom.
She understood Eledor's meaning in telling her to go to Teras, instead of the Elven Kind. Teras was the closest city to them that had a dock. He told them to get as far away as possible, as quickly as possible. It was clear to her. A calamity was descending, one that would cover the entire forest, and delve into Kon Rithia and the Elven Kind. One that could kill her Master.
One that could kill her Master… She suddenly realized. She started shaking, trying to get back. She needed to get to her Master.
"Let me go! I want to go to Master!" She screamed.
"Shut up! Didn't you hear him?! He ordered us to flee. He ordered YOU to flee! He said he… he said he might die. Then if you go there, you will definitely die," he said. Suddenly he started tearing up. Min too started crying.
"Father, sister," Kazz mumbled. Min started tumbling even more.
"Kazz we have to go back! They're all in danger! Mommy and daddy! I don't want to lose my family!" Min screamed. Kazz bit his lip. He truly wanted to go back too, but the man he respected most in this world, even more than his own father had told him to run! Run without looking back! He gritted his teeth and continued running as fast as he could.
Then a blue box appeared in Min's vision.
