Flame... Raging flame, dancing throughout the forest, burning down the last of the flesh-eating trees.

Vayne watches as the corpse of an ape-like creature burns among the trees with a disturbing ear to ear smile.

For the last few months, that creature had been a major nuisance. Not only could it travel between floor, but it is also always hara.s.sing both him and the thing.

But today, finally, after days and days of relentless hunting, he finally took it down, with the whole forest as collateral.

Anyway, these crystal mimic the warmth and light usually generated by the sun, allowing the plant life here to thrive. The crystal itself is white in color, so my speculation is that the blue "sky" above is the excess energy within the crystal leaking out or moving around from one cl.u.s.ter to the other.

How do I get a sample of the crystal you ask? Uh... Well, let's just leave it at I "flew", okay?

Reaching the end of the stairs, we stood in a small square room much like the previous boss room. seems like this area is a resting area after every boss fight but as I am climbing out instead of in, it has become the resting area before the boss hahaha.

Not that I need it though, maybe it's the perk of being a puppet but the recovery of all three of my bar are quite fast, just the short walk and climb and my Hp, Sta, and Mp have reached back into full.

To my disappointment, the boss room looks identical to the previous one, just fewer roots and more goo.

Yes goo, sticky light blue goo, left behind by the approaching boss. A boss that I stare at with deadpan look.

Out of all creature, there could be, it looks like a certain RPG game king slime, just less face, and no crown.

Using cleanse I cleaned myself before walking up to the thing who is already waiting for me and went through the gate. I just hope this floor isn't some kind of slime paradise.
