The God World 6 Connections

I've also been sorting and re-writing all of my notes, because my computer crashed. That may be the reason, if the chapter is late up. I also had some problems with access to webnovel, idk, so I lost some drafts.

"Huh? I'm alive?" Roy was amazed. He thought he was a dead man. But just as the swordsman [Skeleton] swung its sword, a broad great-sword cut it in half. And although Roy was ecstatic, he was still in the middle of a battle. So he had to remain calm.

He saw muscular man in front of him. The man was probably a Dener guard, and had come to save him. And as he was thinking this, another swing came. This one came upon the claw slasher [Skeleton]. *Crack*. The [Skeleton] died in an instant. Now, there was only the whip using [Skeleton] left.

*Rattle Rattle*

The [Skeleton] was now afraid. If it died like this, then all of its comrades died for nothing. Thousands upon thousands of [Skeleton] died at the hands of this human. Yet, now it too would die here? No! It refused to believe this! It was a rare tier [Skeleton] after all. It attacked the new human. But the whip was cut in half. The force behind the sword that cut it, was so strong, that the slight pull it made on the weapon, still tore its arm bones off.

All of its efforts were futile. The town guard didn't want to waste any more time, so it used the skill Cut.

*whoosh*

The guards sword cut its head clean off.

"Phew. That was a close one. I'm sorry I didn't come sooner, I came as soon as I noticed a disturbance,"

*Pant Pant*

"Are you ok?" The man asked.

"Yeah, pant pant. Thank you. I-I ehhh," "I would have been dead."

"No problem. Glad to help. Hey... why were there three rare [Skeleton] here? I thought that there were only uncommon and common in these fields?" The man was a little confused. There were large curved oval gra.s.s fields around Dener town, and they were populated with thousands of [Skeleton]. Some parts were even packed with them.

"There's also no other [Skeleton] around here, so what happened?"

*Pant*

"just, ehhh, wait a minute." Roy wanted to calm down first. He was fighting thousands of monsters before, and had been fighting with 3 rare [Skeleton] for more than half a minute. He was exhausted .

After some time, he calmed down.

"Sooo, first I wanted to grind some bones for a quest, and apparently killed all [Skeleton] in the fields. Then the rare ones sp.a.w.ned. After some time, you came, and killed them." Roy explained. He told the guard everything truthfully, because he didn't want to get in trouble.

*???*

"You killed every [Skeleton] around here? Why did you do that? I mean, you said why, but still. Didn't you know it could trigger an event? You almost died right now. Jeez man, you almost lost your life."

"Jeez? Is he not a guard" Roy thought. "Are you a town guard?"

The man chuckled "Haha, no. I'm just an adventurer who traveled here for something. I may be the strongest human here, if we don't count some the NPC stationed here." Roy was surprised. He met an adventurer here. And a strong one at that. "Could you be tier 1?" Roy asked.

"What? A tier 1, you must be joking. I'm tier 1.5, you shouldn't underestimate me, or anyone else." The man paused... "Here's a friendly tip, always expect the worst case scenario. Even if someone looks weak, you should still act as though they are stronger than you. In this case, I'm an ally, but if you think the same about a monster, you could easily lose your life." The man said.

Roy didn't like the saying 'tier 1.5', because it would suggest there is that tier. People would normally call that someone, when they could become tier 2. He still felt a little guilty because of 'underestimating' him. He did get good advice, but he still though like he wronged him. Then he asked "What's your name? You saved me, so I'll treat you a meal, if you want."

"Henry Kline, glad too meet you. And I would love to have a meal." Henry said with a happy smile. He seemed friendly, so Roy was glad that he could repay the favor, at least a little bit.

Although Roy got some messages for the deaths of [Skeleton], but he didn't check them. Repaying Henry was his priority.

They went to Pint Restaurant. It was a 2 star restaurant, so it cost a little more, but Roy still suggested it. They went inside, and it was crowded, but they found a spot on the second floor. Roy and Henry both order steak with mashed potatoes, and some rice. Henry also got beer, while Roy got some tap water.

They ate and chatted for about an hour and a half, and got closer to each other. Roy added Henry on his friends list, and Henry did the same. His username was Good Man 40. He was 26 years old, and level 21. He came to this town for some quest. Henry was a nice man, with a fluffy beard. From his stories, Roy found out, that he always helps out people in trouble. It was his policy. He was also sociably awkward, and shy. And when he found out there were rare monsters chasing Roy, he quickly ran to him to save him.

Roy wanted to meet him again sometime, but Henry had to depart. Maybe they could meet somewhere else, when Roy got stronger. Before Henry left, he said "Hey, I got 5 rare bones earlier, and I think you should have them. It was you, after all, that killed the rest of the [Skeleton]." Roy wanted to refuse, but Henry insisted. After a while, Roy cave in. He thought he was truly, a good man.

He then finally checked his messages.

"100 GC, that amazing! And a t.i.tle... But do I think Henry should have gotten it. Never mind, let's just check it out."

"Enable!"

"Cool, I will be respected, and get access to special places!" Roy was ecstatic. If he would be respected by some town n.o.bles, he could probably get in contact with them. Then, he would have connections with real n.o.bles, and would have an easier time buying, getting in contact with higher n.o.bles, getting jobs and quests, etc.

"But now, I should complete the Skeleton Extermination Quest" He then the restaurant, and headed to the town hall.

There he found a pretty receptionist, and told her, that he completed a quest. When he handed the items, the pretty girl was stunned. She was even so dazed, so she entered a weakened state. Overall Roy handed her 40k common. 500 uncommon, and 5 rare skeleton bones. Uncommon bones were about 50 times better quality then common. And rare bones were 100 times better than uncommon.

So, it was like he handed over 40k +25k +2.5k common bones (67.5k), but even better. Because, if you wanted to make good potions, you could refine 50 common bones, to get the quality of one uncommon, or just get 1 uncommon bone. There would be less time spent, and almost the same money invested. The same went for rare bones.

After a while, she "returned from the clouds", and thanked him for completing the quest. Then she said.

"Um, the [Skeleton Extermination Quest] is a D rank quest, so you get 1.25 times the normal reward. Additionally, you completed the quest with a higher completion rate than SSL, so I need to get someone to further tell you about some things. Please wait a moment." Roy was confused. He completed a quest with a better than SSL rating? How could that be? Was it because of killing all those [Skeleton]?

"h.e.l.lo, I'm Daniel. The Dener town protector. Nice to meet you, 'savior'." Daniel said with a smile.

I'm sure, that by now, some of you had already figured it out, but monster, human, and NPC attributes, levels, and ties all work a little differently. Monster and NPC attributes aren't according to human standard, but a different one, be it some other monster, or a normal NPC.
