Ran Fei sits on a chair and looks ahead with a blush. He is excited.
“How did you get in?” Ran Fei beckons to the doorway, “Come here! Here’s a good thing.”
But in the next second, Ran Fei shouts angrily, “Are you crazy? This is my new computer. You’ve splashed water on it? You must compensate me for it!”
“I don’t care! b.u.mpkin! Compensate me for my computer!” Ran Fei roars with red-rimmed eyes and seems terribly angry.
Someone next to him says something. Ran Fei suddenly laughs, and then tries to keep a straight face, “Get away! Give me the money immediately after you get your salary.”
Ran Fei is the same the tech geek for auditions as Bo Yu. The challenging part is that when the tech geek secretly watches adult video in the room, he is found out by old-fas.h.i.+oned pedant who, by his own moral standard, is outraged and pours water all over the newly purchased computer.
Bo Yu glances at Director w.a.n.g and finds that the director and the writer nod frequently. They seem satisfied with Ran Fei’s performance. Bo Yu cannot help feeling fearful and nervous.
Ran Fei ends the performance, with his red-rims still red and a slight complacent expression.
“My predecessor, excuse me for making a fool of myself.” Ran Fei goes back to his seat and says to Bo Yu, “You are not embarra.s.sed about my performance, right?”
Bo Yu smiles but says nothing and takes it easy.
Ran Fei lowers his eyes. Bo Yu is contemptuous of him?
“Bo Yu, you try it.” Director w.a.n.g considers Ran Fei’s performance and says.
Bo Yu walks over, nods, and quickly gets into character. His mouth opens slightly: “You...”
“Wait!” Ran Fei interrupts him, “Mr. Bo is my predecessor. To be fair, he should audition the same part with me.”
It is very impolite that Ran Fei interrupts Bo Yu when he gets into character.
Director w.a.n.g instantly looks surly with complicated eyes, but he doesn’t swear.
Bo Yu coldly glances at Ran Fei, and a trace of anger flashes through his eyes.
Director w.a.n.g and the writer look at each other and have the same opinion in the mind. Director w.a.n.g coughs and says, “Bo Yu, or...”
“Director w.a.n.g, I’ll try it.” Bo Yu takes a deep breath and says to Ran Fei who is complacent, “A predecessor should make concessions to a trainee.”
Ran Fei is too embarra.s.sed to rejoin.
Bo Yu puts aside his own feelings and goes into character again.
Bo Yu has a gentle, distinguished and elegant temperament with the handsome appearance and good manners. But Ran Fei looks like a beautiful young boy with the femininity of the cream boy.
The role of the tech geek is a new daddy. So, Bo Yu is more suitable for it from the aspect of appearance.
As for acting skills, although Ran Fei is mediocre, it is enough to play the role of the tech geek.
Bo Yu sits on a chair with bright eyes, his lip compressed a little, a slight flush, and he gradually gasps for breath, looking very excited.
The performance of Bo Yu catches the eyes of Director w.a.n.g and the writer. They unconsciously clench their hands into fists and watch him without blinking eyes.
Bo Yu tilts his head and his black loose hair with an innocent look. He licks his lips and excitedly points at the front with a seductive smile. “Just downloaded the video. Let’s watch it together?”
But in the next second, his face changes dramatically, murmuring, “My G.o.d, my Sora Aoi, what did you do...”
“My Sora Aoi, my torrents, my videos, my games! …You must compensate me!” Bo Yu puts his hands in the air and sways violently.
Feeling angry for a moment, Bo Yu laughs as if he heard jokes. He closely puts his arms on the shoulders of the visitor and excitedly strokes with his hands.
Director w.a.n.g keeps on nodding with satisfaction, as if he has made a decision.
Ran Fei lowers the head with angry red-rimmed eyes, trembling hands and clenched teeth.
Bo Yu is just a has-been. What qualifications does he have to compete with him for the tech geek?
Bo Yu comes out of the toilet cubicle and sees Ran Fei standing in front of the sink to wash his hands. Bo Yu then walks over and washes his hands as if nothing happened.
Ran Fei says with red-rimmed eyes, “My predecessor, I really like the role.”
“Oh?” Bo Yu does not get his implication.
“If my predecessor wants to act in TV series, you must have many better opportunities. Why do you have to grab the role from me?” Ran Fei points at Bo Yu and says in an aggrieved way. “Can’t my predecessor quit and give me the role?”
“A brave hero always wins the fiercest compet.i.tion. Why should I give the role to you?” Bo Yu draws a tissue from the side and wipes his hands with the unchanged countenance and indifferent expression, “A trainee should have the consciousness of a trainee.”
“My predecessor, you are too selfish.” Ran Fei is almost mad; otherwise he doesn’t say that regardless of the occasion, “It is just the third supporting male role. My predecessor, you are so stingy!”
Bo Yu thinks that it is so ridiculous. According to Ran Fei’s opinion, the behavior that he refuses to give the role to Ran Fei is too selfish?
Ran Fei feels more and more angry when he finds that Bo Yu ignores him. Ran Fei stares at Bo Yu, grabs his wrist where his nails are embedded in, leaving some imprints of fingernails.
“Bo Yu, both of us work in the Tingfeng Agency. And we will meet every day. Can’t you give me the role?”
Feeling painful, Bo Yu shakes off Ran Fei’s hands with cold eyes, and turns away.
He has nothing to say to such a person who has different values.
However, still unwilling to give up, Ran Fei braces against the door in order to prevent Bo Yu from leaving, and stretches his neck, “Bo Yu.”
Bo Yu thinks that even Buddha cannot bear Ran Fei any longer, because this trainee challenges his limitation of tolerance again and again. Bo Yu grabs Ran Fei’s collar and says in a low voice and bleak tone, “Don’t make me angry.”
Bo Yu just warns him, but Ran Fei seems to be greatly insulted and he incredibly points at Bo Yu. Bo Yu supposes that Ran Fei will make trouble in the next second, but Ran Fei turns to open the door and runs away.
Bo Yu, “...”
Ran Fei is just a trainee who has inexperienced acting skills, but Bo Yu is a box office dynamite with experience and skills. Director w.a.n.g discusses with the producer and the writer, and chooses Bo Yu as the role of the tech geek.
Bo Yu is not surprised by the result.
Ran Fei glares at Bo Yu and leaves the room with subdued anger.
After discussing the role with the writer, Bo Yu looks down at the time and leaves with the script in his hand. It’s getting late, so it’s time for him to go and take little Watermelon home.
The TV series starts up formally the day after tomorrow. Bo Yu’s acting part is not much. Besides, He mainly responds with the protagonist. So, he has plenty of time and takes it easy.
After watching Bo Yu leave, Director w.a.n.g frowns, “Is the schedule of the protagonist confirmed?”
“Sure.” The producer whispers, “But I hear that the protagonist has bad relations.h.i.+p with Bo Yu.”
“You believe the gossip on the internet?” Director w.a.n.g laughs.
Nothing matters much even if the protagonist has bad relations.h.i.+p with the third supporting male role. As long as they don’t make trouble, it can be considered as the free hype for the TV series.
Bo Yu walks in the underground parking lot, noticing that there are ardent eyes watching him behind. He stops, vigilantly turns his head but finds nothing. Looking down, he quickly walks to the front of the car, opens the door and sits in the car regardless of the uneasiness, and drives away.
Not far away, the bareheaded driver looks at the boss sitting in the backseat, “Boss?”
The man takes back his gaze and says calmly, “Drive.”
The bareheaded driver touches his head and can’t guess what the boss thinks, but he dares not ask the boss and drives away.
The man’s fingers on his knee bend unconsciously and click for a while. The expression on his face is inexplicable.
Two years later, you’ve finally come back.
In the morning of early autumn, Bo Yu who has disappeared for two years sends a new Weibo message, which immediately arouses strong reactions from the fans.
Bo Yu v: Come back. [picture attached]
[f.u.c.k! Tell me that is true! My idol finally comes back from abroad!!!]
[Oh, my G.o.d! I am on the verge of becoming non-fanatical. Idol Bo Yu has finally come back! Please send a selfie of your handsome face next time. Thank you!]
[My hands stop to click the b.u.t.ton. I want to watch the selfie of your handsome face, too.]
However, Bo Yu is not as popular as before. The new Weibo message only causes a stir among his fans.
There is no Weibo hot search about Bo Yu’s comeback.
Bo Yu doesn’t mind. His Weibo followers including zombie fans that the agency buys are only more than two million. He has not been active for two years. So, it can be expected that he is forgotten by the public.
With great popularity before, Bo Yu disdains TV series with protracted plots, so he focuses on the film. Although he gets some accomplishments, he has few opportunities to appear to the audience.
Therefore, his fans should not be as many as those for the stars who are often active in TV series.
Bo Yu does not lack money before, so he considers money as nothing. But the situation is different now. Child rearing costs money in many aspects. He has to think about his shrinking wallet.
Bo Yu, wearing a mask, strolls around the supermarket with a cart in one hand and the child in the other, and says, “Little Watermelon, do you miss your father?”
Bo Yu pushes a cart in one hand and holds the child with the other hand without gasping for breath at all, showing his strong masculinity.
Little Watermelon nods seriously, and the braid behind his head shakes with his movements, “Papa, are you going to work tomorrow?”
There are two cl.u.s.ters of hair on little Watermelon’s head. one flutters in the wind on his forehead, and the other braids in the back of his head, which is very cute.
“I’ll take a rest tomorrow and go to work the day after tomorrow.” Bo Yu puts a pack of ribs in the cart and says absent-mindedly, “You stay in the preschool cla.s.s.”
Although Bo Yu takes the third supporting male role with less acting parts, he primarily responds to the protagonist. So, each season has his parts.
So, he needs to come to the crew every day.
Little Watermelon pouts his small mouth with reluctant feelings, but does not dare to openly rebel against tyranny of Bo Yu and has to be in a sulk alone.
Bo Yu feels helpless, because he has already spent all of his savings in order to give birth to little Watermelon. If he does not work now, they will have to live on air.
Little Watermelon can’t be charmed or the threatened, which has less interest in food and toys. So, they speechlessly look at each other along the way.
Bo Yu takes out ribs, washes and throws them into the pot. After cooking, he puts noodles into the pot.
Two bowls of ribs noodles are placed on the table. Bo Yu eats quickly a bowl of ribs noodles, and then comes over to feed little Watermelon and persuades him, “Daddy is going to work, not to play. Little Watermelon, can you understand it?”
Little Watermelon has a vague definition of work, but still nods understandingly, “Dandan will be scared at home.”
What does a silly puppy fear, who only cares about eating and sleeping?
“Little Watermelon will also be scared in the preschool cla.s.s.” Little Watermelon says sadly, “Papa does not accompany the baby...”
Bo Yu’s stone heart melts instantly.
Bo Yu thinks for a while, puts down the bowls and chopsticks and goes back to the room. He takes out a previous photo of him and hands it to little Watermelon, “You can look at my photo when you are scared. Wow, how handsome your daddy is.”
Little Watermelon is satisfied now. He cheers with the picture in his hands, “Papa, where is my photo?”
Bo Yu thinks, “Your giggling naked photos? Give up your mind. I will never let others see such a silly side of the mini version of myself.”
But Bo Yu ignores such words that demean the child and immediately changes the subject.
