Perhaps, because Wu Xiaoshuang accompanied Chen Minhao's mother around on a two-days shopping spree in Shanghai, his mother and Wu Xiaoshuang's relations.h.i.+p grew closer.

One day, Chen Minhao finally asked Wu Xiaoshuang directly as he couldn't contain his curiosity anymore, “how did you end up as Kang Hui's a.s.sistant?”

He asked this question because in Chen Minhao's impression, the styles of the two completely differed from each other.

Wu Xiaoshuang explained in a serious tone, “I wanted to work in the entertainment industry, but my family did not allow that, and my relations.h.i.+p with my family turned stiffed during that period of time. Wu Xiaoshuang lowered her voice and added after some mulling over, “The reason I can be Sis Kang's a.s.sistant was actually because my second uncle helped Sis Anqi to record a song in exchange for the opportunity. Although Sis Anqi is a good person, I'm still felt somewhat embarra.s.sed whenever I meet her. So, I was actually very delighted when I heard that problems with the film crew was the reason Sis Kang and Sis Anqi are unable to return to Shanghai.

“I am different from you. I am lazy to think. Whereas, you and Sis Kang are always overthinking about things.” seeing Chen Minhao's astonished expression, Wu Xiaoshuang smiled with her lips pressed. She continued as she tilted her head with a smile on her face. “To be honest, the ident.i.ty of being the leader is just icing on the cake. After you write a few more songs, I bet that you won't even want to be in Sky Boys anymore. Why are you so insistent about this?”

Chen Minhao raised his head slowly and said, “There is no do-over in life. Why not be greedy about it?”
