Kaldrek smiled as he watched his wife drift to sleep in his arms. He had surprised himself when he had been able to say all that to her. But, seeing Fayre get hurt had reminded him of the mortality of life, the uncertainty, and he did not want to live with the regret of never telling her how he felt. And so when she had gazed up at him, with her green eyes, slightly reddened from crying the whole morning, the words had actually came out.

He was glad of it. It had brought her bright smile back. It had made her forget for awhile the upsetting events of the morning. He felt rather content as he gazed at her. She loved him, he loved her, and they both finally knew it.

Kaldrek smiled as he gazed at his little bride. It had felt incredible to finally be able to tell her how he felt. He tightened his grip on her, listening to her soft breath.

She looked cute, all wrapped up in the blankets like that. Her hair had become a complete and utter mess on her pillow, which made Kaldrek smile. He really truly loved her hair. He had never understood why some people thought that it was demon hair, she looked more like a fairy than anything else.

Kaldrek's eyes widened as he realized something and his mouth opened a little in excitement. Fairy? He had been wondering why she did not seem to have any physical manifestations, but now he wondered. If her bloodline was mixed with fairy, then it could be that her ethereal beauty was a manifestation of her bloodline. And the fairies were known for being good at all sorts of enchantments.

But he did not think she had a pure bloodline, it was probably mixed like his own. He found himself once again trying to figure out what bloodline would end up with so much manna. He shook his head, but felt better as he realized that he was a step closer to figuring it out. He was in no doubt that she had fairy blood, it made way too much sense once he considered it.

A smile curved up his lips as he looked at her. Watching her sleep was really refres.h.i.+ng, he could do it for hours. The way her chest rose and fell gently, the way her eyes would scrunch up in her sleep, the soft fluttering breaths that came out of her mouth made his heart feel incredibly lightened.

He knew he had fallen for her hard. Had known for a while. Everything about her delighted him, even when she was mad at him he could not help but think she was cute. Knowing that she was his made him incredibly happy.

Honestly, if Jayesh had tried to make him marry any other woman, he would have run, bolted as far as he could. Unless it managed to spur him to actually confess how he had felt for a certain green eyed woman. If it had done that, he knew Jayesh would have let him have one last chance to choose his own wife, as the king did not actually want his best friend to end up miserable.

But Jayesh had chosen the woman he loved anyway to matchmake with him, so it would have been strange to actively go against it. Of course, he wished that he had been able to ask his lady to marry him rather than have her marry him like this. But he would just try to make it up to her by showering her with all the love and affection that was her rightful due.

Kaldrek run his hand down his sleeping wife's form, pausing over her abdomen. He could not help but wonder how soon her womb would be filled with their child. His smile turned into a huge grin. If it was with his adorable Zylvia then he desperately wanted to have children. It would be a proof of their love, a mixture of them both.

Zylvia had not told him just how many children she wanted, she had actually given him the green light to keep her perpetually pregnant if he could manage it. He was not sure if she realized that she had done this or not, but he found himself interested in trying to do so.

He wondered what she would look like if she got pregnant. He found himself looking forward to finding out, to caressing her pregnant body, and telling her that she would make a wonderful mother.

There was a huge chance he was getting way ahead of himself, but Kaldrek really did not care. He had suppressed his feelings towards her long enough and now that she was completely his he had no intention of holding back from what he, what they, both wanted.
