The day was fairly uneventful. At least for Zylvia. She had talked with Fayre and Hazel for hours, but nothing major happened.

When she headed for supper, she could nor help but perk up at the thought of seeing her husband again. She missed him so much. Even though she had seen him that morning. But still –

Kaldrek fell into step beside of her before she even reached the dining room. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders and held her to him. Jayesh had also joined them, and scooped up his wife to hold her close.

"Evening, Zylv." Kaldrek smiled down at her, "How was your day so far?"

"Its been good so far." She tilted her head to look into his eyes, relis.h.i.+ng the feeling of being cared about. "Kinda slow, but that is not a bad thing."

He nodded silently and gave her shoulders a squeeze. He sat her down once they had arrived and got her food for her. He ruffled her hair before sitting beside of her.

Zylvia smiled to herself at how nice it was to have her husband take care of her. And to have him blatantly act in an affectionate manner towards her. She covertly glanced at him as he listened to their friends talking.

Jayesh was discussing new training ideas for soldiers and mentioned how useful it would be to start making a regiment of spell casters.

"I think I have heard of something like that before," Kaldrek frowned in thought, "Some of the older kingdoms did that, if I remember correctly."

"Really now?" Jayesh seemed intrigued, "Which ones? How well did it work?"

"Well, it worked fairly well, though all those kingdoms are long gone. Let's see… it was Leshall, Nireal, Viandre, and Merak. Some of my books mention them and a bit of how they ran themselves. How much of it is fact is hard to say though, it has been a long time since they were destroyed. But I think that it is safe to a.s.sume that a regiment of magic users is probably at least based in fact."

"What happened to them, anyway?" Zylvia loved listening to her husband talk about things he had read. The glimmer in his eyes as he got invested in the subject was almost blissful for her to watch.

"I don't know. There is a blank for a period of a hundred years in which no one recorded what happened. Whatever happened it was bad enough to cause a blank in history and make us lose much of what we might otherwise have. The only kingdom still around from back then is Jarenkul, but it is not exactly known for recording history,"

Zylvia's husband seemed more than happy to discuss this with her. And ir=t made happy to make him happy.

Jayesh continued discussing on how to make it happen and Kaldrek gave advice on it as he wrapped an arm around his wife's waist. Zylvia happily leaned into him as she felt somewhat tired. Her eyes slid closed.

Next thing she knew she was being carried by Kaldrek and he was opening up their room. She snuggled closer into his arms, enjoying the feel of him holding her.

Kaldrek lay her down on their bed and kissed her forehead before pulling her nightgown out of her closet. He gently began to undress her, causing her to open her eyes as her cheeks began burning.

"Oh, are you awake, my love?" Kaldrek paused in what he was doing. His hands then grasped her face as he kissed her softly on her mouth.

"uh-huh." She reached for the nightgown he was holding. Grasping it she pulled it away from him and hurriedly slipped it on.

"You know, love, I've already seen everything before, no need to get bashful."

"Kaldrek!" She shook her head at him, "I'm still not used to it…"

"Well, you are likely to be pregnant with my child so you might as well get used to the idea." There was a smugness in his voice as he talked.

She could not keep the edge of laughter out of her voice, "Kaldrek… I love you. And I know that but I may still need some time to fully grow used to it."

He lay beside of her and held her close. Peppering her with kisses he began to hum gently to her, trying to soothe her frazzled nerves. She could not help it she relaxed at his touch.

It was not long before she fell asleep, after wrapping him up tight in her arms. She did manage to steal one more kiss before falling asleep.
