Zylvia startled awake feeling famished. She was not sure when or how she had fallen asleep. She must have been more tired than she had thought.

Kaldrek was still holding her, hands wrapped around her shoulders, her head was on his chest. He was awake gazing down at her with a soft smile.

Zylvia felt somewhat embarra.s.sed because she could not remember falling asleep. Last thing she remembered was happily a.s.suring her husband that she still loved him. Even though he was well aware of the fact, but she liked saying it.

She s.h.i.+fted, and began to sit up. Her husband followed her, still keeping his arms around her.

"You alright, Zylv dearest?" He stroked her hair gently out of her face. "Do you need to rest some more?"

She closed the slight distance between them and kissed him deeply. Pulling away she scrambled up, "I am fine now, thanks to you. Just really hungry."

She grabbed hold of his arm and pulled him up. She wanted to stay close to him, wanted him to continue looking at her like this. Wanted him more than anything.

"Alright," he laughed softly. His hands dropped to rest near her waist. His gentle voice reached her softly and it was clear to her that he cared about her. A lot. Which she knew, but she loved watching him make it obvious.

He walked her to the dining hall, and seated her gently. She watched him make her a plate of food and place it before her. A grin came to her face. She loved watching her man do these sorts of things for her. He made her feel special.

She gave him a kiss, which made him smile at her in an almost smug way before telling him, "Kaldrek, go get yourself a plate as well, and then join me, okay?"

He shook his head and quipped at her, "I was not the one who was really hungry." Despite this he still obeyed her and came back to sit beside of her, poking some food in her mouth almost as soon as he sat down.

She giggled and nudged his arm with her shoulder. He was grinning at her, his eyes filled with laughter, the edges crinkling up. His hand wrapped around her waist and he pulled her closer and placed a soft kiss on her nose before pulling away.

With a sigh she leaned into him and happily ate her food. Her husband had a rather comfortable chest to lean against. Something she felt positive that no one had ever told him before. His chest belonged to her exclusively. Okay, technically he also had a claim to it but still she legally owned the rights to his body, just like he had the rights to hers.

A grin spread across her face just thinking about it. Marriage… it was such a wonderful mystifying thing. The union of two lives to be bound together till death. A happy sigh came from her mouth as she thought of the wonderfulness of being bound to the man beside of her.

"You are sighing my lady. Whatever are you thinking to make you sigh so?" Kaldrek murmured softly as he rubbed the top of her head with his cheek.

"Happy thoughts," She smiled at him, placing some food into his mouth. She watched him chew it, and elaborated a bit more, "About how wonderful I find being wedded to you."

"Aww…" He chuckled leaning down to kiss her gently. His smile became quite broad as he pulled back, "I love you too, Zylv. It really is one of the most intriguing things in the world though, isn't it? Marriage is totally unlike anything else." There was a note of wonder in his voice that echoed her own sentiments perfectly.

A grin crept up her face as she turned back to her food, "Yeah, it really is."

His arm continued to hold her close to him until she finished her supper. Every now and then she felt him sneakily plant kisses on the top of her head. It gave her a sense of warmth every time she realized what he had just done.

After she finished eating, she took hold of hi fork and began to feed him the rest of the food on his plate. She watched the grin grow bigger on his face as he accepted her administrations with quite noticeable happiness.

She felt pleased that his appet.i.te was already showing some signs of improvement. She had managed to get him to eat more on a more daily basis, little by little, which had resulted in his stomach naturally stretching to a healthier capacity. Of course, the biggest concern food gave him still was that he felt the need to keep her fed. She had actually used this to make it easier on her to get him to eat more by insisting that he eat with her, reasoning that eating alone was no fun.
