When the Blue Screen disappeared I got the information of the skill zapped into my brain.
Fire Resistance : Is a pa.s.sive skill that will grant me immunity to specifically unnatural or magical fire.
So ordinary or natural flames will still affect me the same way.
Jack: "Huh... Neat. "
I clenched my fist and inspected my body although my cape and loincloth were in poor condition I was perfectly healthy.
The only thing that hasn't grown back yet was my sweet Mohawk I was bald again…
Jack: "Alright it's time for some sweet, sweet Payback!"
Jack: "With this new power up that decrepit old red b.a.s.t.a.r.d won't know what killed him."
I cracked my neck and stretched doing a few warm ups to limber up.
Being turned into Goblin Jerky for so long was not good for my kinesthetic awareness.
So before I go skull f.u.c.k that old geezer gotta make sure i'm in tip top condition.
As a former junior baseball player Jack had always warmed up before a big game and as a result he went through the motions of his old habit to prepare.
As Jack was getting ready to kill a m.o.f.o he stopped at the sound of movement.
(*Rustle) (*Rustle)
The noise was heard clearly though Jacks newly healed ears despite the heavy rain as a Yellow Goblin his ears were much more sharper than the average green goblin.
With the heads up Jack drew closer to the noise and hid in the cover of shadows and forest with the rain masking the sound of his movement.
Despite the Cliche Jack could not see perfectly in the dark his eyesight in the dark was better than the average human but no where near as clear or good as a nocturnal creatures night vision.
Goblins were a species shunned by humanity and most societies as a result they commonly inhabited caves or the underground.
Being born in the image of mans distorted reflection they were able to adjust to the dark overtime instead of using there eyes to navigate through the sunken dark earth.
Goblins used their ears and physical sensations to dig around and expand into a primitive society they were more akin to a mole in this aspect.
They could see better than humans and surface dwellers in the dark but not by much.
Goblins still heavily relied on light sources such as torches or magic to clearly see in the dark.
A goblins eyesight was nothing special..
What was special was there adaptation of technique to traverse the earth like a mole.
Not some bull s.h.i.+t naturally unexplained Night Eye or Vision powers like they have in the movies and other portrayals.
Goblins despite their similarity to humans were inferior especially in this world were a single human can gain the strength of heroes and slay dragons.
The goblin tribe's only greatest physical a.s.set against the humans was there sharpened sense of hearing a skill born from coincidence.
A sense that was refined overtime through the generations of goblin groups who dwelled in the underground.
This skill allowed the Goblin tribe to survive and thrive in a hostile environment filled to the brim with bad s.h.i.+t crazy monsters and powerful beings.
But even that skill still paled in comparison to the Long Eared Elves especially the Dark Elves who were a fellow group of Underground Dwellers.
Jack under the cover of rain maneuvered quietly around the incoming noises hiding behind the trees and bushes.
He could hear two voices speaking that incoherent goblin gibberish language.
Although Jack could not understand it he could still a.n.a.lyze the tone and mood of the two and determine the casual behavior among them.
Jack felt that these two looked familiar somehow but couldn't quite put his finger on it.
He also wondered why these two were alone and casually strolling outside so late until he remembered that they were the two sent out into the forest by that red geezer.
They were returning from hunting the runaway goblins the few that escaped them were chased away into dangerous territories ensuring certain doom at the hands of predators.
The two smelled of wet s.h.i.+t and death, blood was still visible on their weapons and clothing most of it was.h.i.+ng away with the rain.
The two Goblin Guards were bragging about their kills and recounting the pleasant memories of catching the female runaways.
They laughed heartily as they spoke grabbing their hardened crotches drooling with perverted smile's on their faces.
Goblin Guard One spoke of his regret about the few pretty ones that managed to escape or die before he got the chance to play with them.
Goblin Guard Two chuckled replying not to kill'em before f.u.c.king them next time.
In a mocking manner Goblin Guard One feigned innocence and replied with.
Goblin Guard One: "Giii Giii? Giii Giii Giii?" / "Who Me? I No Kill?"
Goblin Guard One: "Giii Giii Giii Giii. BWA HA HA HA!" / "Me Very Gentle Gob. BWA HA HA HA!"
Goblin Guard Two laughed with his companion agreeing with the feigned innocence patting him in on the shoulder.
Goblin Guard Two: "Giii Giii Giii Giii GIii Giii Giii Giii Giii. Bwa Ha Ha Ha!" / "Next Time I Catch Pretties So You No Kill. Bwa Ha Ha Ha!"
As Jack circled behind them and neared their backs creeping ever so quietly getting closer and closer.
Jack activated his Blue Claws skill and with a battle roar he pounced with both hands intending to fatally pierce the two of them.
Jack: "Giii!" / "p.o.o.p!"
( Intended meaning: "Die!" )
The two Goblin Guards surprised, reacted and tried to evade the sneak attack, but while Goblin Guard Two managed to narrowly avoid it.
Goblin Guard One was too late as Jacks Claws dug deep into his chest cavity piercing through it tearing through flesh, muscle and, bone.
Goblin Guard could only gasp and look down in disbelief and horror at the familiar vibrant yellow arm that pierced his chest he looked up too see Jack staring back at him as he drew his final breaths.
Jacks ugly yellow face and smile was the last thing he saw before dying unable to utter a single word.
Goblin Guard One's body slid off Jacks arm as it fell to the ground the flesh wound made a barf inducing squish and slush noise and landed with a thud and splat.
Goblin Guard Two stood by eyes wide staring bewildered at his dead friends corpse.
His expression turned to fear when he looked at Jacks glowing blue claws still dripping with blood.
He was the most fearful of the mustard colored goblin his Vibrant Yellow Skin tainted in blood flashed across his mind like a premonition of death.
Goblin Guard Two took a few steps back trying to control his emotions and find the determination needed to kill the Yellow Fiend.
Before he could speak or raise up his spear to attack Jack turned away from him and ignored his presence leaving himself open to attack.
Goblin Guard Two hesitated despite Jack being within stabbing range he felt faraway and tiny against him even with his guard down and his back exposed.
As Jack plucked out Goblin Guard One's tongue out Goblin Guard Two could only look on feeling frustrated and hesitant with himself.
Jack brought the slippery long tongue to his mouth and ate it with sickening chews and smacks before gulping it down.
Goblin Guard Two felt his skin crawl as cold sweat dripped down his body he still vividly remembered Jacks brutal ma.s.sacre at the Goblin Cave entrance.
For the first time in Goblin Guard Two's life he asked a question that he did not want the answer to, he spoke without the restraint of reason.
It was an honest but ambivalent question spoken in a quiet and fearful voice...
Goblin Guard Two: "Who Are You?"
Jack smiled nonchalantly at the question and turned his head to reply.
It was Jack's first time talking to anybody other than Chuck since coming to this world so his mood had lightened up.
Speaking in a calm and friendly voice Jack's grin grew wider as his eyes lit up with a sense of accomplishment.
Jack: "Hi my name is Jack…"
