I turned my head and found not one ounce of his stinking self. He was probably hiding his bony self under my body and wished that that was enough to s.h.i.+eld him of his insecurities and fears.
Fortunately for him, i was in the house. What more protection could he ask for?
"They won't do us harm, Harry? Look at the two of us. We are nothing but harmless pets for them. The epitome of good well behaved visitors in their grand domain." i calmed the old man.
"I hope so, Bunny. I just don't like this place. And look at those men, they're all bullies. I tell you." a sad reflection of the life that Harry had led for how many years.
I could only shake my head at this and recalled the time when i too, had felt that way. How many years was it? I dared not remember anymore.
The long years had fogged away all the memories of my frailty.
Sigh!
"n.o.body will hit you with me around, Harry. Come now. Follow me." i comforted the old man. I walked further inside and all eyes turned at us.
Most had ridicule on their faces because even if i was not that popular enough but the old man behind me sure was.
The years that Harry had spent living around the slums and even on the streets to beg and scam for money was considerable enough to get him a sad notoriety.
I would even guess that a high fraction of the people on the scene had once in their life, hit, break, and tap away at my sorry companion for the day.

"Good afternoon, dear Game Master! We want to play some dice." i said the words and saluted deeply on the person before me. I obviously selected a table which was far away from anyone we could bother.
"BOINK!" Harry's face plastered on my back with my sudden pause. I would think that he never saw anything but our sides and i has not the heart to blame the downtrodden soul of the old man.
