Seeing the girl's seemingly happy mood, Eli sighed with relief. He hadn't known why, but he felt like things definitely would have gotten out of hand if he hadn't stepped in there.
He was especially surprised towards Senior's Su's words.
Although he already knew the woman's strong need to protect her friends, no matter how wrong they may have been in the situation. That's just the kind of woman she was.
However, her actions weren't the most appropriate - especially towards a new employee.
Sighing, Eli scratched the back of his neck.
"That's the second time you've sighed Mr. Sato," Mimi's youthful voice spoke.
"Ah...Your right it was," Eli laughed lightly. "Guess I didn't realize it."
"En. Keep it down." Mimi spoke bluntly before instantly turning towards the computer in front of her.
Eli blinked a few times before he laughed heartily towards the gothic girl's words. She sure was direct.
"Ms. Mimi, I sincerely hope you can generously forgive Ms. Ming for her words and actions earlier," Eli began gently. "She can be quite the imaginative type. But she becomes slightly dense when it naturally comes to common sense."
Mimi almost scoffed at his words. 'Slightly dense' was an understatement.
However, no matter what she naturally felt, she carefully kept a dull expression and continued to stare at her screen.
Perceiving that although she looked as if she were ignoring him she was clearly listening to his words, Eli smiled before continuing.
"However, despite that, she's been working at this company for many years and is definitely one of our most talented employees. So...if you could keep today's vents between us that'd help tremendously."
From his words, Mimi could point out that he was pleading her not to report what happened earlier to Juno - who would then report it to Tobias Itou.
For some reason, him perceiving her that way caused Mimi's brows to twitch, a deep frown to forming on her face.
"Mr. Sato are you finished?" Mimi spoke almost immediately.
Bobbing his head, he places his hands behind his back, waiting for her response.
"Allow me to make this perfectly clear. I don't care about anyone in this office besides myself." She declared bitterly with a stern expression. "Moreover, I'm not someone's dog that reports every word and event I happen to perceive."
If she discovered some interesting 'pests', she'd be happy to deal with them personally rather than merely reporting it.
It was more fun that way.
"So regarding the incident with Ms. Ming, it never even took place in my mind." Mimi finished while flicking away invisible dust on her desk.
Thoroughly collecting her words, Eli was completely stunned. She had been so blunt to eagerly point out how she hadn't placed any care in the others or their actions.
From her tone, he could accurately detect a slight bitterness as she mentioned being someone's dog.
However, deep within her words, he could faintly sense her sincerity as if in her own way she were telling him she understood how important Jinny was for the team.
She may appear cold, unfeeling and direct, but that was her only way to express her feelings probably.
Eli's pleased smile turned even brighter towards his thoughts.
Despite him thinking that Mimi had merely spoken as directly as possible to avoid misunderstands as she hadn't genuinely cared about the others honestly.
Yet while achieving that she had already created a misunderstood image in Eli Sato's head...
