"You…The nerve!" Emilia glared at her fiercely. "After everything, you really don't know the reason?"

Even now, Mimi contained an expression of confusion, her brows knitted tightly together.

"Can't you tell me why you're mad, and then we can resolve it?"

Wouldn't that end things quicker?

At this, Emilia's beautiful face flushed red in anger and frustration.

"Forget it!" Emilia stomped toward Mimi and thrust the two crepes into her hands. "You wanted these right? I hope you enjoy. I bought them! With my money!"

Once the crepes were put in her hands, Emilia twisted her heels and stomped away from Mimi.

As she watched her figure walk away, Mimi continued to stand in a stunned state, her eyes slightly wide.

Did she miss something? Why was she so upset?

Women were truly unfathomable!

Mimi looks down at the crepes in her hand and was suddenly at a loss.

Sighing, Mimi heads inside the café and asks for two containers and packs the crepes in them. Afterward, she stood to the side and took out her phone, quickly dialing a number.

"h.e.l.lo?" A man's deep voice spoke on the other end.

Mimi whined in a soft, sweetened tone, "Toby, I need help!"

Tobias on the other end was currently in the process of reading over an important contract for his company when he suddenly received Mimi's call.

Surprised by her call, he could only a.s.sume it was important since she rarely called him – especially when she knew he was working.

Heeding her words, Tobias without hesitation abandoned his work and became alert.

With a grim expression, he asks, "What's wrong?"

"I'm having girl trouble..."

Tobias's expression contorted into one of seriousness, "Did you take some medication? Do you want me to come over and bring the chocolate and heating pads?"

Mimi's lips twitched. "Not that kind of girl trouble! I'm talking about Emilia! I mentioned to you earlier this week that she invited me to go shopping and spend girl time together, remember?"

"Mmm, I remember."

"Well, we were hanging out together and all of a sudden she burst out into a raging fit and left me! I asked her what was wrong, but she won't tell me. Tell me what to do Toby!"

The ice that covered his dark eyes slowly melted when hearing the girl complain about such normal and childish matters.

Smiling, he said in his deep hoa.r.s.e voice, "Tell me what happened, from the beginning."

As Mimi told Tobias everything they did that day, his expression slowly began to furrow.

After she finished explaining, he finally couldn't help but sigh helplessly.

Every so often, he wondered if the girl was either dense toward human emotions or just oblivious to them when food was involved.

Even him, who was considered a dull and emotionless human being, could grasp the problem to her situation.

"She might have felt neglected."

"Neglected?"

"Think of it like this; if you invited me to hang out and all I did was ignore you and talk on the phone, how would you feel?"

Mimi responded almost immediately. "Simple, such a situation would never happen because I'd never allow your attention to divert from me."

Containing his smile, Tobias leans back in his chair and chuckles. "Alright, but if it did happen, how would you feel?"

Mimi's lips pursed and she thought. "Not too good…"

"Mmm, do you understand now?"

Mimi was silent.

"I know what to do, I'll call you later."

"Alright."

"Tobias."

"Hmm?"

A few seconds pa.s.sed before Mimi spoke, "Thank you."

Widening his smile, Tobias hummed in response.

...

In a park a few feet away from the café, Emilia sat silently on a bench. Her legs and arms crossed while she glared at the fountain across from her with puckered lips.

After leaving Mimi alone, Emilia stopped by a nearby park to calm her emotions. Initially, her anger subsided but thinking back to Mimi's actions earlier her anger rose again.

She dares ask her what's wrong! And even suggesting it was her period! Hmph, how could someone be so insensitive?

While processing her thoughts, Emilia's mind suddenly rendered back to the previous words Mimi said to her in her apartment.

"I wouldn't take it personally. To be honest, I've never had a friend before…"

That's right...she never had a friend before.

No wonder she was so horrible at guessing her emotions! The girl was completely dense in the friend department!

Thinking this, Emilia's mood eased somewhat, but a piece of frustration still remained.

Suddenly, a figure sat beside her on the bench. Annoyed at the invasion of s.p.a.ce, Emilia turned to look at the person with a scowl but froze, her eyes widening.

"M-Mimi?"

Mimi turned to face Emilia on the bench, and with a serious expression lowered her head. "Thank you."

Startled and confused, Emilia stuttered, "W-What…"

Raising her head to reveal her blazing purple eyes, Mimi speaks, "I'm thankful you were able to handle hanging out with someone like me and giving me the chance to experience a normal teenage girl life. For this, I thank you."

Emilia was at a loss for words. Rather than apologizing, she was thanking her?

Strangely, this brought a smile onto Emilia's face.

"Hmph, you're welcome! It's about time you realized what a pain you were! Do you know how annoying it was for me to spend all of my money on food for you?!"

Mimi stifled a laughed and smiled. "Thank you for feeding me as well."

Emilia scoffed and rolled her eyes, but a smile, nonetheless, remained on her face.

Mimi turned and grabbed a styrofoam container from her side.

"Here, I had them packed after you had left."

Emilia's brows arched in surprise at the container of crepes. "You didn't eat them?"

Mimi giggled. "Believe me, the urge was great. Even I'm surprised I didn't eat them yet."

At this, Emilia laughed and nodded her head while grabbing a crepe. At the same time, both took a bite of the sweet dessert in their hands.

Emilia pouted, "It's a little soggy…"

"If you don't like it, I can eat it for you!" Mimi teased, her eyes gazing hungrily at her crepe.

Hiding her crepe away from her ravenous gaze, Emilia scowled. "No way! It may be soggy but it's still good!"

After that, Emilia took a large bite and her milky blushed cheeks enlarged, a trace of powdered sugar on her pink, petal-like lips.

Mimi flashed her eyes dramatically before she laughed.

For the first time, Mimi felt a surge of joy that didn't involve s.a.d.i.s.tic activities or beating someone to a pulp.
