Madam Lin stopped at a particular report once she had finished reading, she could not help but silently smile, as she read.
She called for Feng Yun, silently chuckling to herself.
When Feng Yun entered, he was dressed as she normally would. Completely in blood red. Madam Lin sometimes wondered why the girl liked this color so much, was she a young woman who felt aggrieved and never tot to experience her wedding day like the girls her age, or did she have another story?
Feng Yun never touched upon the topic, so she had never brought it up.
"Madam, is there any matters?" Feng Yun asked in her calm voice.
"Yes, there is a matter, in two days, you will return to the white clouds mountains." Madam Lin said. By now, she had long ceased her chuckles, and regained her serious composure.
"Un. Should I go right now?" Feng Yun wondered.
[Why two days?
This is oddly specific.]
"No, no, you should not go now." Madam Lin said suddenly, as she pulled Feng Yun's red sleave.
Feng Yun: "..."
[This is getting suspicious.]
Feng Yun hesitated for a moment, before she asked: "Why? Is anything the matter?"
"No." Madam Lin shook her head, before she released Feng Yun from her grip. "These two days, I have something for Yun'er to do." She reached into her wide sleaves, and pulled out a piece of folded parchment paper.
Feng Yun received the parchment paper and looked at it. It was a list of herbs, based on the looks of it, it seemed to have been written some time ago. Obviously, she could have gotten any amount of the common herbs listed if this was given to a servant to prepare.
At this point, Feng Yun was filled with suspicion of what Madam Lin was preparing, but she chose to ignore it.
"Yes, Madam." Feng Yun said as she folded the parchment and placed it into her sleeves.
Once Feng Yun was gone, Madam Lin let out a silent stifle of laughter that she could no longer hold in.
She returned to her desk, where she looked at the letter again. The letter was folded and stuck in a hidden crevice in the desk, it seemed this letter may come into use later.
She smiled with a hint of mischief, "He he, Feng Rong, you're going to owe me for this."
She couldn't help think of the little lovebird planning a surprise...
