I was sitting on the bench outside reading Pride and prejudice and it had me engrossed in it when Joe interrupted me suddenly, ''Hey are you free today?'' he asked casually looking at me with a smile.
He didn't know how much I was mad at him and chose to remain silent ignoring his glare. He annoyingly s.n.a.t.c.hed my book, ''Why are you ignoring me?'' he asked with while tucking my hair lock behind my ear.
I slapped away his hand, '' I am not ignoring you. I am simply giving you time to reflect on what an idiot you are being.'' he really expected me to talk to him after all that I saw? What a knucklehead!
He c.o.c.ked his right eyebrow, ''Stop with this shady talk'' he snapped and got up and was about to leave but then he stopped.
Joe sighed and muttered, ''Sorry'' and resumed, ''I just wanted all of us to go to Valz's match with Nate, Adam, Salvot and me'' his voice was husky.
I was about to speak when he chimed, ''I know he's oblivious to all of us- that doesn't mean we stop trying....'' he gloomily shook his head, ''He's my brother Mariza'' Again Mariza!
''When's the match?'' I huffed out.
His face lightened up with a sparkle in his eyes, ''Yeah-''
I cut his sentence by muttering, ''Don't think that I'm going just to please you- It's just that I also want to help him remember us'' I didn't know if it was true at all- G.o.d knows why was my heart and mind battling.
He chuckled, ''Absolutely!''
I tried my best not to smile and forced my lips not to stretch and he obviously caught that, ''It's actually not a crime to laugh'' his voice dripped with sarcasm.
I rolled my eyes, ''Says who?'' he shook his head with a smile, ''You've become quite bad a.s.s and you should thank me for that''
''Oh shut it Joe'' I retorted.
''What are you two losers doing?'' Salvot came strutting with att.i.tude.
"Surveying the number of blind people in this area." I replied with a smile
"What? I don't get it." he asked curiously.
"Well, all the blind people come to me and ask What am I doing and I keep counting them." I retorted. Joe chuckled and shook his head.
