Neto realised something as he looked around his father's house. Yes marriage can be scary but it's a beautiful thing especially when you meet the right person. He's seen alot of people struggling in their marriages, most people got marriage because of love, others for some other reasons but it's all boils down to one thing. n.o.body knows how it's going to turn out, it's just like any other thing in life.
It's about taking risk and working together to make a better life for you and your partner. "Will he break Sky's heart, will their marriage fail? Can he be the man Sky wants?" These questions bothered him. But he knows he doesn't want to hurt Sky and he is going to try his best to do right by his family. If she accepts him, they'll work together to make their tomorrow a better one. Neto smiled as he realised this.
"Yes dad. Yes! I want all that but it's not like you described it. "Yes I will be stuck with one woman but it will be the woman of my dreams, the woman my heart beats for. The woman who brings out the best in me, the woman who was able to give me two wonderful kids even though I don't deserve them. I want Sky dad, and I'm going to do everything in my power to get her back. So you better start praying she accepts me or you won't see me in the company for a while. Cause Sky is my life's project."
Mr Greyson let out a sigh of relief as his son said the words he has been wanting to hear. "Good job son" He said smiling as he pat Neto on the shoulder.
Surprised at his father's reaction, Neto stuttered. "I....I....I..I don't understand dad. I thought you didn't want me to get married? Are you alright dad?" Neto asked as he watched the old man.
Mr Greyson's laughter filled the air. Neto listened to his father's rich baritone voice and wondered what was wrong with the old man.
"Come sit down boy, and join the boys and me as we enjoy our fish n beer."
Neto was dumbfounded. All he could do was follow his father as they went to join the other men by the pool.
"You see son, I realized something as I grew old. I was wrong about marriage. Yes I know I told you to avoid it but I regret that decision now and I'm very happy that you won't end up like your lonely father." Mr Greyson said as he sat opposite his son.
"You are not lonely dad. You are always travelling with different girls, partying and going on vacations. You are never alone, there's always a woman beside you." Neto folded his s.h.i.+rt sleeve as he watched his father carefully, so he wouldn't miss any emotion.
Chief Tanko stood up to leave with the other men to give the father and son privacy, when Mr Greyson stopped them. "No please stay guys. I need you to hear this too and I also need you all to say a few words of advice to my boy here."
Mr Greyson continued as his friends sat down. "Yes son. What do you think happens when those women leaves? and besides, we both know they only stay with me cause of my money and maybe my looks. None of them care deeply for me. I get lonely son, haven't you ever been with a woman in your arms and still feel lonely?" Mr Greyson looked down as he remembered the last time he was with a woman.
He went on, without giving Neto the chance to reply. "When I was young, i thought I had it all. I mean I got the looks, the money and the charm. I thought I was complete. Even when I married the love of my life, I felt I was too good for her, that I was better on my own. At first it was fine but then when she gave birth to you, she added some weight and she gave you most of her attention. The sleepless night, her breast milk always staining her night dress, the stretch marks...she changed."
"I loved you but it wasn't easy having your favourite s.h.i.+rt stained by your cute kid. One was enough for me but your mother wanted more. I didn't understand her then but now I do. I was selfish and self-centered and even up untill two years ago, I still felt like that. Until I started seeing my mates going on vacations with their partners. Their grandkids doing something sweet for them. Old James here...his little granddaughter spent hours baking a cake for him with a fire truck on it. She used all her savings to buy him something he's always wanted."
Mr Greyson sighed as he looked at his friend James. "It was the sweetest thing I'd ever seen. She was just eight and she made sure she was the first to wish him happy birthday. The point is Greyson, don't be like me. I had hoped and prayed you'll take a different path and I'm glad you did."

Chief Tanko Pat his friend on the shoulder smiling. "Don't worry buddy, it's not too late. Just say the word and we'll get you hooked up. I mean you look ten years younger than us but you are the oldest among us. Neto I just have this to say, you shouldn't fear marriage. All you have to do is make sure you both don't give up on eachother, it's not all Rosy but it's not all bad too."
"He's right Neto" Mr James said. "Me and my wife Anita, we fight all the time like cat and dog but she's my best friend. She's always got me, she's the one person who will never give up on me. I mean I'm lucky to have her. All I'm saying is...you may encounter difficulties along the way because you both are different people but as long as you both are willing to make sacrifices and compromise, It'll be fine."
Mr Tochi spoke for the fist time "n.o.body goes into it without knowing for sure ..I mean even on my wedding day, I had doubts. n.o.body's perfect, there's no perfect marriage. I mean Jane is the exact opposite of me but here we are, married for twenty years."
Neto didn't know what to say to the four men in front of him. All he could do was nod his head and smile. He had no idea that his father felt that way. He quickly hugged his father and said thank you to the men before he hurried off.
"That's a good thing you just did Grey. I'm proud of you." Tanko said as he hugged his friend.
"Yes Tanko, I've realised alot of things and I don't want my boy to make the same mistake I did." Mr Greyson said as he watched his son run to his car.
"It's not too late for your Grey. I mean you have two grandkids now, two wonderful kids and I know you'll have more." James said smiling as he handed the barbeque fish to Tanko
