This time, Marco flinched, and said slowly.

The soldiers sized up Marco.

He had a powerful gaze, looking at Marco and Tamamo, he seemed a seasoned warrior, because he IS a seasoned warrior, and he is the King himself too…
Marco and Tamamo were standing, because Marco wasn't part of Sabasa so he didn't had any obligation, and he was far stronger than the king, even if he needs to use the 2nd Tail to take someone like him down, which was impressive.
While Tamamo was a Heavenly Knight, under the direct command of Alice, the Monster Lord herself, she would kneel only in front of Alice.
King: I'm the ninth King of Sabasa… Hmm… You have good eyes. You look pretty young, so I wasn't sure of your ability, especially when I heard about you defeating one of the heavenly knights, Granberia.

Both of them agreed, and the king nodded before talking about his problem.

It was written with an horrible calligraphy, which looked as if a kidnapper really wrote this, but Marco knew that she left alone, to make a trial at the pyramid.
King: The princess is named Sara, blonde short hair, blue eyes, and around 20 years old.
Marco: Then…
King: Yes, the reward… At the dawn after you save my daughter, you shall become her husband!
Marco: No.
Marco denied him straight away, making the King flinch.
Marco: I would like money, about the amount, make it satisfying.
In the game there was this running gag about the King of Sabasa that wanted to marry his daughter to Luka, he even broke the handle of a door, blocking Sara and Luka inside a room, alone, where she gave him a b.l.o.w.j.o.b at the end. And it seems that the King would want to leave her with Marco…
King: *Sigh* Alright… 'And the plan A failed… Let's go to plan B then…'
Marco suddenly had a s.h.i.+ver in his back, but he decided to ignore it. Then he and Tamamo left the castle, it was morning so there was much time to use, which was used to go to the pyramid.
