Susan was always a happy child and very easy to raised. She claimed until she was made fun of that a dragon lived inside her. Once she stopped talking to her voice, she soon forgot that it even happend. But the feeling to fly was always there.
"Daddy, can we go watch the air show?" Susan asked.
"Sure baby lets go" Bill pulled out his keys and they left for the air fields.
They watched all the planes come and go. There were even the blue angels doing tricks. She was in heaven and her dad seen the lite in her eyes. He had a friend who would give lessons so he would find out how much and when she was old enough to start her on lessons.
Susan spent all her free time getting all the information she could on planes. She learned them in and out.
Susan got to start lessons on her 14th birthday. She looked forward to Sat.u.r.day to come each week.
She got really good on flying and fixing them.
On her 18th birthday she got her pilots license. She spend all her time working in the sheds at the field saving her money for this old sea plane that was for sale.
It needed work but she was willing to put in the time to have her own plane.
The summer of her 21st birthday, the owner invited her to a poker game where he would play her for the plane.
He really would of just given it to her but he from working with her, he knew she would not except it. After an hour of playing he lost the plane to her. She had no idea he planed it that way.
She now had the plane, and money to fix her up. A year later she was make money flying pa.s.sengers around the port and the island around them.
This was until her father got sick. She had less time time to work having to take care of him.
"I fine baby girl, go fly now." He would say.
" Dad last time I left I came back to you pa.s.sed out and you spent two days in the hospital. I can fly when you are really better. " She was working on his lunch.
"Baby girl, I love you. How was I so lucky to get a child like you." he curled on the couch watching her.
His bills soon drained all their saving and when he pa.s.sed she sold off everything of value. Only her baby was left.
She worked hard but hated to be this deep in debt so she broke down to sell. It did not take long before a buyer was found and she would take one last fight before getting grounded.
The money would be enough to bring down the debt and she could pay what out within a year.
She took her last fight to a isle she discovered a year ago. This would be the last time for a while to visit so she wanted to climb up its small mountain to a cave she seen. One last adventure before she went to working 18 hour days to play off the bill within a years.
One last adventure with her beloved sea plane. In honor of her mother and father who raised her.
Then the storm it and her plane was gone, and a crazy man rescued her.
