My Way To You 356 An Awkward Morning

"Davita! Then you can't break your bond with the G.o.ddess!" Ariana shouted in a panic but Davita's body started to glow with swirls of emerald and pearl. 'It's alright.' Davita said softly.

Ariana cried her heart out. Davita made the wrong choice and it was all her fault. She made Davita give up the G.o.ddess's protection on her family and it because of her own selfishness, Ariana felt sick.

'Ariana it's alright. I have been with the G.o.ddess for a long time. My children grew up to see their great grandchildren. My old world has changed drastically and they have lived in peace for hundreds of years. I was just holding onto a sweet dream that was fullfilled a long time ago.' Davita said as she snuggled against Ariana's face. 

"But what about Bai? You could have reincarnated with him here." Ariana said as tears spilled down her chees. 'Yes but would he have remembered me? Would he fall in love with someone else before meeting me? It's just like you and Owen. There is no guarantee we would meet. I will just wish for his happiness and live my life here.' Davita replied. 

"You are a lot stronger then you look." Ariana said as she sniffed. 'And you are a lot stronger then you give yourself credit for.' Davita sighed in relief. She then raised her head and looked out the window. It was really dark outside. Davita tasted the air and then looked at Ariana. 'It's late. Do you want to take a short rest and continue with the stories later?' Davita asked gently as she brushed back a lock of Ariana's hair from her face.

"I think I will." Ariana answered. She felt drained. 'Let's go then.' Davita said as she gave Ariana a small kiss on her forehead.

Ariana groaned as the sunlight entered her room. Even though her room was in the bas.e.m.e.nt, sunlight always found it's way into her room by the window well. She sat up and looked at her lap. Davita was sleeping soundly. Ariana reached out and stroked Davita's head. She swore to herself to spoil Davita rotten to make up for her sacrifice. Davita's eyes opened and she smiled at Ariana. 'Morning.' She said happily. "Morning." Ariana greeted back.

'Do you want breakfast first or are you getting right into work?' Davita asked as she flapped her wings. "I guess both. I need to make up for lost time." Ariana answered as she jumped out of bed and scooped up Davita. She gave her a quick kiss on the top of her head then carried her around like a doll.

"Morning everyone." Ariana said happily as she walked into the kitchen. "Morning." She heard evryone chime in. She looked around and noticed Vasu's pouting face. Ariana giggled she made a quick mental note that she needed to have time with all her Lumas and not just dedicate herself to just Vasu and Davita. "Morning." A husky voice said. 

Ariana looked behind the Lumas and Mrs. Dabney and saw Cayden sipping some tea as he leaned against the sink. "Oh hi." Ariana said as her whole face turned red. Mrs. Dabney smiled as she busied herself with feeding Brie but she kept her ears perked up. "You're back a lot earlier then I thought." Ariana said as Davita escaped from Ariana's arms.

"Ya." Cayden sai as he kept his gaze away from Ariana. "Are you okay?" Ariana asked but then she felt a beeze. Davita blushed as she flapped her wings but Ariana couldn't look her in the eye. Something felt wrong, she looked down and screamed. She ran back down to her room at the speed of light. She forgot that she only wore her pajama top and only b.u.t.toned up the last three b.u.t.tons. 

She was also too lazy to wear the pajama pants or find a pair of shorts. She thought this morning was ony going to be herself with Mrs. Dabney. So Caydn coming back early was a surprise. "I might as well stood there naked." Ariana groaned. She quickly grabbed her new clothes and rushed up to the bathroom. She got herself cleaned and dressed before retuning to the kitchen.

Cayden kept his gaze on the floor when he heard Ariana walk in. "Oh looking good." Mrs. Dabney giggled as she gave Ariana a thumbs up.  Cayden figure it was safe to look up and instantly blushed.

Ariana's face was flushed from the shower, her hair was braided to the side and she wore a white, hoodie dress that stopped at mid thigh. The design was simple and not form fitting but Cayden's mind wondered and a small trickle of blood came out of his nose.

"Cayden!" Ariana gased as she handed him a handkerchief that she had in her oversized pocket. Cayden's face turned red as he denied the handkerchief and got up. "Sinks right there." Cayden said as he pointed awkwardly. Mrs. Dabney quickly collected Brie and excused herself. Her body was trembling as she tried too hold in her laughter and she made sure to flash Ariana knowing smile before leaving.

Ariana turned beat red and tried to compose herself as she got up and grabbed a bowl oatmeal and a cup of tea. "Bonds... Stories. I need to hear them...  All that's left is Rahul, Loralei and... and Adnois." Ariana said as she looked at Cayden. "I don't think I have to hear Adonis's story but you might have too so he can sever his tie with the G.o.ddess." Ariana explained. "Adonis." Cayden called out and the orange, chibi jellyfish appeared. 'Yes?' He asked as his tentacles swayed from left to right.

"Don't play dumb." Cayden said nonchalantly as he started down the jellyfish. 'It won't kil you to play along every once in awhile.' Adonis pouted. Cayden raised his eyebrow at Adonis. 'Fine... I actually don't know the answer. To be safe you should both hear it at the same time.' Adonis said as he looked away from Cayden. "Good you go first then." Cayden ordered. Ariana felt bad when she saw Adonis's tentacles shake wih fear.

"It's okay Adonis. If you're not ready I'm sure Loralei or Rahul wouldn't mind going first." Ariana said as she scooped up a big spoonfull of oatmeal. Rahul and Loralei both looked away. Ariana shoved her oatmeal into her mouth to distract herself. She didn't know what to do.
