My Way To You 107 Swamped

Morning cla.s.ses were absolutely horrible. Ariana couldn't believe that missing even one day could have put her so far behind. The worst part was she missed three days and found herself swimming in homework. She did her best to try and finish it in between cla.s.ses but found it increasingly difficult as the time was mostly used for travel. Ariana was busy eating and writing a history essay before lunch was over.

"See, sandwiches are a blessing." Edlyn said as she took a bite of her own chicken croquette sandwich. "I will have to add rice b.a.l.l.s to the menu." Ariana said as she wrote. "How much do you have left to do." Halina asked before she took a bite of her chicken and rice pilaf. "Just the conclusion paragraph." Ariana responded. "Is it two pages long? Minimum is two pages." Talisha said as she pointed her soup spoon in Ariana's direction. "Sh*t! No." Ariana said as she scrambled to grab a fresh sheet of paper.

"Will you have enough time to write it? You have 20 minutes before they start closing down the mess hall." Edlyn said with a concerned face. "Ya, that's more then enough time. My thesis wasn't that hard. It's basically an opinionated piece so I can bull sh*t another page." Ariana replied as she started writing again. "I wish I was that smart." Halina sighed. "You didn't really put much thought into your essay. So what are you complaining about?" Talisha said with a giant smirk. "Sure I did! I put a whole 35 minutes into what I wanted to write." Halina said with a pout.

"And that's why you can't get into the top 10%. You don't want to put the effort in." Edlyn pointed out. "Ariana is not putting any effort in!" Halina cried out. "That's what you think. She was put through strict training for months. I would go over just to sit in for an hour and I always left feeling dumb." Edlyn said as she cleaned up her hands. "Oh... I'm really sorry for not thinking... again." Halina said as she sheepishly brought up her index fingers and started tapping them against eachother. Ariana just let out a "Mmmmh." Sound and continued to eat and write. "So that's why you didn't have to research what Professor Waldemar gave you." Talisha asked.

"No. Tillie had me due the entire four years of education in those few months. I had to memorize everything or else." Ariana said as she sighed. She then put down the pen and stretched out her back. "Drink. You haven't hydrated yourself properly today." Edlyn said as she pa.s.sed her a spinach smoothie. "Thank you." Ariana said as she happily took the smoothie and started to write again as she sipped. "Finished?" Edlyn asked as she gave Ariana a bright smile. "Almost, now I just need to write one more opinion paragraph and the conclusion." Ariana replied.

"You didn't even take that long!" Halina exclaimed. "Thank educational boot camp for that." Ariana said with a giant smile as she put the pen down and shook out her hand cramps. "Honestly those days were tough." Ariana laughed. "I bet! I mean I missed the first bit. When I joined in you were already used to it." Edlyn said. "Ya but by then I was able to have more free time. Well, I also had a reason to focus or else I couldn't go play." Ariana said as she quickly grabbed her pen and hide her face behind a veil of her own hair. She started to furiously write again. "So a play date was the best incentive for you to work hard?" Talisha chuckled as she got up and stretched out her arm. She then gently moved Ariana's hair out of the way. Suddenly Talisha started laughing loudly. A very bright red Ariana was glaring right back up at her. "You are so innocent!" Talisha laughed.

"Stop teasing her already! She has to finish her essay or Professor Waldemar will have her head." Edlyn lectured as she gently slapped Talisha's hand. "Alright mom. Jeez, no one can have any fun around you." Talisha said with a giant pout. "Sure you can!" Halina shouted. "Absolutely! Mom's the best! Love you." Ariana chimed in happily. Edlyn turned a bright red, causing Thor to jump up into her arms. 'Mommy has more babies?' He asked as he licked Edlyn's red face. "Not yet. Once she marries Xander and starts a family then you will have a big family to play with." Ariana said with a mischievous grin.

'Can you marry daddy soon? I want babies to play with me.' Thor asked sweetly. Edlyn turned a brighter shade of red and to everyone's surprise fainted backwards. "EDLYN!" Everyone shouted but instantly relaxed when they saw her goofy smile. "Give me a second I got a sentence left." Ariana said with a shake of her head. "I'll grab some water." Talisha sighed as she got up. While Halina rushed over to provide Edlyn a lap pillow. "Rise and s.h.i.+ne sleeping beauty." Talisha laughed as she gently flecked water onto Edlyn's face with the tips of her fingers. Edlyn's eyes started to flutter.

"Too much stimulus for a pure girl like you?" Ariana said with a small chuckle. "Yes it was." Edlyn replied honestly as she slowly sat up. "Well I'm done my essay. I will try to study for the math test today while in Waldemar's cla.s.s." Ariana said with a heavy sigh. "We have a math test today?!" Halina shouted. "Supposed to be every other Friday starting today. Halina don't tell me you forgot." Talisha groaned. "N-no." Halina replied with a higher pitched voice as she averted her gaze. "So we need to look out for two people cramming while in history cla.s.s. Flipping fantastic." Talisha said as she face palmed herself.

"Well at least I can get some studying in." Halina said with a mild shrug. "I'm already studying." Ariana said. The girls looked over and felt an urge to slap Ariana. She was already knee deep into her math book. "Nerd." Talisha said affectionately. Ariana repositioned her hands so that her right hand was now on the bottom, center in the book. Her fingers automatically fixated themselves on the spine while she brought up her left hand and flipped Talisha off. "Oy! Do you even know what that means?!" Talisha shouted in surprise. "F*ck me, f*ck you, shove it up your a**, up yours or go f*ck yourself. Take your pick." Ariana said nonchalantly as she brought back her left hand and put it back to her math book.

"You being a proper lady and all I thought something so obscene would be rather beneath you." Talisha said with a smirk. Ariana brought her head just high enough to have her eyes seen. She raised an eyebrow as her eyes sparkled with mischief. "Oh? I can think of a number of obscene things a lady scould or rather hould do. More of an obligation between two people and I can guarantee you that the man I love will be underneath me." Ariana said before she brought her gaze back to the math book. Edlyn and Halina both gasped but Talisha quickly moved and pulled the math book out of Ariana's hands. She instantly started laughing hysterically when she saw Ariana's face glowing a bright red.

"You got b.a.l.l.s Ms. Drake! Huge, freaking b.a.l.l.s. I honestly thought you could have pulled it off but my G*d your so pure!" Talisha shouted. "Hey! You know I love you and all but you better get moving. I want to started cleaning up early today. Got a hot date and I don't mind me some obscene things either." Lee shouted from the serving counter. "Ah! Look what you did! You just corrupted sweet, old Lee into saying those kinds of things! Come on now children, let's get away from the bad example and go to cla.s.s like good students." Talisha said as she started herding a shocked Edlyn and Halina. "Say that with again with a straight face! I dare you!" Ariana shouted as she closed her book with a loud thud.

Talisha tried her best to suppress her laughter as they rushed towards the exit. "No, puff, idea, puff, what y-y-you're talk-hahaha! I can't! I can't! You win!" Talisha laughed as she hugged her abdomen. "Good. Let's go then. I don't want to be late." Ariana said with a victorious nod.

It was finally after school and Ariana felt more swamped then she was at lunch. "I am going to die now." Ariana sighed as she hung her head in defeat. "It's not so bad. I mean it was only one draft a.s.signment you missed." Edlyn said with a comforting tone as she rubbed Ariana's back. "Kinda forgot ourselves." Talisha said as her face darkened. "What are the chances that we would forget to draft our STEM project proposals." Halina said sadly. "Monday was kinda hectic and I wish Professor Penon would have at least given us a reminder on Wednesday." Edlyn said.

"Well we have the end of today to hand in our drafts to him. Have you guys started?" Ariana asked hopefully. She didn't want to be the only one who hadn't started. "Kinda, it's enough to go hand in. I have it back in the dorm." Edlyn said with an awkward smile. "I have half done. The reference book is in the dorm I just need to read the rest so I can finish my draft thesis." Halina replied. "I got stuff in it. I mean it's a draft and I could just give it to him. It's not that important to me." Talisha said with a shrug.

"This is important though!" Edlyn exclaimed. "This is the one project that sticks with us for the next four years." Edlyn continued. Ariana groaned and she squatted down. Edlyn paled as she started to panic. "I mean it's just the draft part right? We have plenty of time to switch our thesis's around. I mean he just wants to see if you are seriously considering improving mankind and there will be lots of chances to talk and brain storm with him." Edlyn rambled. "Ya but I haven't started." Ariana groaned. "There's 8 hours before midnight. Run to the library now and start. Knowing you, you would come up with something brilliant in no time." Edlyn encouraged.

"Oh! Did you hear about the indoor farming school that they are going to start building next month?! That was genius! I mean to grow vast amounts of food inside a controlled environment and providing education for practically anyone who wants to learn!" Halina shouted in excitement. Ariana looked up and gave Halina a crooked smile. "No one can top something that amazing right?" Ariana asked sadly. "Right! The best solution of the century!" Halina shouted in excitement. "My brother Kruger is already looking to see if he can enroll." Halina continued.

Ariana got up. "I'm going to the library." Ariana groaned as she dragged her soulless body towards the direction of the library building. "What's eating her now?" Talisha said as she pointed towards Ariana's back with her thumb. "She came up with that idea. Even gave the board, drafts of the build and a working prototype of the planters." Edlyn said with a sad smile. "So now she has to top herself." Talisha said with a melancholy look. "How can she?" Halina asked. "No idea but we should quickly finish and hand in our drafts. I want to go help her as soon as possible." Edlyn said before she turned and walked towards the female dorms.

Ariana finally made it to a coliseum like building. The bricks and stone arches were done in red. Doors and windows seemed to alternate all around the round building. It stood three storeys high with a giant blue dome overtop, sealing the coliseum like building. With a heavy sigh Ariana walked up to the black, 9 foot tall, double doors. She grabbed the door handle and pushed the door inwards. Inside was a brightly lit open room. There were two winding stair case on the left and right side of the room. Bookshelves lined the walls of each floor.

The second and third floor looked to only be balcony type areas where students could sit as they studied and pulled out reference. While the main floor was littered with tables, chairs and more bookshelves. "First time 'ere!" A high pitched, British voice said loudly. Ariana turned her head to quickly that she almost gave herself whiplash. "Yes." Ariana replied as she brought her hand to the back of her neck and started ma.s.saging it. "Figures! T'em brig't eyes sparkling like they never seen the wonder of t'is palace." The lady said with a knowing nod.

"T'en I best be getting to introduction. The name is Paisley Boswell. Head Librarian to t'is wonderful establis'ment." Ms. Boswell said as she extended a hand out. The lady looked to be in her mid thirties. She had a small round face with a slightly pointed chin. Bright blond hair but her roots were a deep brown. A long nose and thin, bright red lips. "Well that's rea.s.suring." A familiar voice said as he slowly approached the two ladies. "Greggs! Took your sweet time in the loo." Ms. Boswell said with a giant pout. "My apologies." Gregory said with a sincere bow. "Gregory!" Ariana shouted happily. "Ariana." He replied courtly. "Oh blooming 'eck! You two know eachother?" Ms. Boswell spat as she pointed to Gregory then Ariana. "Yes we do. So if you don't mind I will excuse myself from the desk and give Ariana a tour of the library." Gregory said as he quickly walked up to Ariana and grabbed her wrist.

"W'en you get back I'll give you ya a bunch of fives for messing around on me!" Ms. Boswell shouted as she waved an angry fist in the air. "Um Gregory?" Ariana asked as he pulled her farther away from the front desk. "I can't stand that woman." Gregory hissed as he let Ariana's wrist go free. "I have no idea what goes on in her head! You saved me back there. I would have gone mad if I had to spend five more minutes with her." Gregory explained as he brought his thumbs to his temples and started to ma.s.sage them. "But she seems nice though." Ariana said as she looked back. Ms. Boswell aura had turned murderous as she shot her dagger like glares.

Ariana quickly turned around as she broke out in a cold sweat. "5 librarians, there are 5 librarians and one head and she purposely schedules herself with me." Gregory muttered as her further forrowed his brows to the point there was practically no gap. "Do you even understand what she's saying?" Ariana asked curiously. "Mostly. The dialect she uses comes from Eastern region of the Kingdom. I believe the City she hails from is Gran Bergen. I had 'frequented' there for some training. The terrain is tougher as it's at the very edge of the borders. Mountains, overgrown forest and a vast lake separating us from the neighbouring Kingdom." Gregory explained as he slowly started to relax.

"What is spend a penny? She said you were doing that." Ariana asked. "Washroom. I escape as much as possible." Gregory said as he turned and started to walk. "Then what is rumpy pumpy?" Ariana asked as she walked up beside Gregory. Instantly Gregory tripped over himself and practically fell on the floor but caught himself in time. "Did she say anything else after that?!" He spat as his face turned pink. "Something about eating meat and vegetables." Ariana replied. "Was it, meat and two veg?" Gregory asked as he straightened himself out but his face turned a bright red. "Yes exactly!" Ariana replied as she clapped her hands once. "What does it mean?" Ariana asked.

"It means that woman is insane and needs to satisfy her needs with someone else." Gregory said in an annoyed tone. He looked back and saw that Ms. Boswell was still watching them. Her murderous aura turned pink and fluffy. Gregory clicked his tongue then wrapped his arm around Ariana's shoulders, pulling her in closer. "What are you doing?!" Ariana hissed. "You owe me for what happened the other night. I'm just collecting now. So behave." Gregory whispered into Ariana's ear. "I would be fine if I knew what the h.e.l.l you are talking about?!" Ariana whispered as loudly as she dared. "Stop with your silly games." Gregory scolded her. "Fine don't believe me. I will get my revenge." Ariana pouted

"You're not joking?" Gregory asked as he looked down at Ariana. "Why would I joke? All I know is I've been asleep for three days and nights and I woke up this morning with no recollection. Vasu doesn't want to really tell me anything. Aroha said she would but I have no idea when. All they were willing to tell me is a rebel-?!" Ariana was silenced by Gregory's hand. "Shut it!" Gregory hissed between gritted teeth. Ariana glared at Gregory until he removed his hand. He then pointed upwards. "Oh wow..." Ariana exclaimed.
