The Tiger Within 665 Unreasonable Mother

"You have been warned, don't make me put you in your place, Mother." Kendrick growled as he walked into the s.p.a.ce. His tiger coat glistened in the sunlight and Akira pulled back realizing she had been caught. Frustration raked through her senses.

"What right does she have to forbid me from seeing my grandson? He is my blood!" Demanded Akira glaring at her son as Bryson straightened the allure  of Fantasy's eyes broken by the spirit like neither or mother or father.

"He is her son, Akira." Bryson pointed out and Akira turned on him. The gentle coaxing and the warmth of Fantasy was no longer present in her eyes. Instead they burned with anger as though he was her greatest enemy. Her true colors revealed for her father to see.

"Just as I was your daughter? You let that brute sell me to the shadows of death and then banish me after he couldn't turn a profit." The accusations flew from her lips and cut deep into Bryson's heart. He hated himself for being too weak to protect her, and to protect Fantasy.

"I did what was best for you then. These halls were not safe for you." Bryson replied forcing back his self hate. The forgiveness her words previously gifted him with was crushed to powder and burned to ash as she flung these words at him.

"You did what was best for you. Don't lie to me." Growled Akira as her claws grew from her nails. She wanted to maim him, perhaps it would be enough to distract Kendrick and make off with her Grandson. Her child.

"I see. So what you did to protect us, the excuse you used to explain leaving me and my brothers is true. Yet when the same is said to you it's a lie?" Kyera asked as she walked down the steps in purposeful strides. The Storm Twins landed at the raise of her hand. Suddenly Akora was far outnumbered.

"You are being unreasonable. I want to meet my grandson." Demanded Akira and Kyera took the baby, nestling him in the fur and leather sling now wrapped and tied over her arm and across her chest. He was comfortable and safe now in his Mother's care.

"I have told you what must be done for you to meet him. I will not have the Mother who abandoned me me my son before the Father who protected us through the pregnancy." Kyera replied as she approached Ivory who bowed her neck for Kyera to use the spines of her neck to climb up, onto the Dragon's back.

"I can not believe you will force me to my death." Akira screamed at her daughter as Bryson mounted Iric. Kyera looked down at her mother, her eyes steely cold like frozen gold.

"I am asking you to enter a temple to speak at an alter. That will not kill you, merely be uncomfortable. However you try and touch my son again and I will send you to Moria with my own hands. Promise or no promise." Kyera's voice made those threatening words a promise. She had done as her brother's asked this far, but Gale and Raina were her bottom line. She apologized to their memory in her heart. The problem was… she knew she would do it.

"You…" but the rest of her words were lost in the wind from the Storm Twin's wings. Neither cared to listen to her arguments as they took to the air, flying in circles, waiting for Iric to join her.
