"I'll be back, alright?"

Turning, she took a stick with her as she wandered to find a water source to bathe in.

Suddenly, the sound of water could be heard and she excitedly went over to it. Taking off her outer layer of clothing, Xiao Jun soaked her feet and with a piece of torn cloth, she soaked it into the water and wiped her face and chest with it.

Sadly, she could not strip fully and bathe as their was another person around her.

'Boo hoo! No baths until I find an inn..'

Cleaning the blood off herself, she put her clothes back on and walked back to where she was camping out with the handsome man.

The man was asleep on a branch, hand on his waist where his sword sat.

'Yo~ handsome fell asleep.'

Xiao Jun went over to his horse and found a dagger sitting a bag on the side and took it.

'He wouldn't mind if I borrowed this...would he?'

Wandering around the forest, Xiao Jun found some edible fruits and vegetables as well as some wild birds and game.

Bringing it all to the water source form earlier, she cleaned the game and washed the fruits and vegetables.

"Found so many goodies~" she smiled, stomach rumbling.

She skipped happily back to the area and found the man still sleeping, shrugging, Xiao Jun set the goods in her hands down and began to start a fire. Using flint in steel from inside her little pouch, a fire was lit and she began to cook the game.

"Food~ I have food~" she quietly sang, drooling as she eyed the cooked food. Getting a mischievous look on her face, she took the feather from her waist and climbed the tree, climbing up to where the man was, she quietly took the feather and began to a.s.sault his nose with it.

His face wrinkled up as he rubbed his nose and she stifled a giggle.

Suddenly, his eyes opened and he shot a sharp glare at her, making her slip and fall onto her b.u.t.t.

"Ow... it hurts..."

Xiao Jun rubbed her sore b.u.t.t and stared up at the man with a pout. "No fun! Since you're awake, just come eat!"

She sat on a log that had been hauled over and tore off a piece of the meat from the game meat.

He came down and sat next to her, picking up the meat and eyeing it before slowly eating it.

"Eh? What is your name? Call me Jun." she said, happily chowing on the meat that tasted like smoke.

"Me?...Yun Long.." he replied, eating the food quietly, a cold look on is face still.

'Yun Long? Ho~ Revealing your name so easily? Aiyaaa~ Handsome, you should be more wary!'

Xiao Jun laughed internally but stopped smiling when he shot an icy look at her that made her whole body shudder.

"Yun Long... stop staring with such an icy look.. so scary ah..." she scooted away from him and just stared at him while eating.

Yun Long looked at the strange boy in front of him who was unfazed after having been chased by a.s.sa.s.sins.

'Who is he? Why would anyone want to a.s.sa.s.sinate him?'

After eating, the two turned away from each other and found spots to sleep. Xiao Jun sat on a tree not too far from Yun Long and Yun Long slept in the tree he was originally in.

The next morning, Xiao Jun woke up to find herself all alone. Jumping down from the tree, she frowned as she saw that Yun Long's horse was missing along with his whole person.

'That handsome b.a.s.t.a.r.d! He dare leave me!'

Huffing, she rolled her eyes and made her way to the city of Luoyang, arriving only hours later when the sun was up high and burning down on her back.

Spotting an inn, she walked over to it and asked for a room, also requesting for water to be heated for a bath.

In her room, Xiao Jun made sure that the door was secure before she undressed and unwrapped the binding around her chest.

She was merely at the age of 16, soon to be 17, but her body was nicely curved and because of that, she discarded the image of a princess and dressed as a prince so she would not attract any men that wanted to wed her. Suo's clothing was more revealing and lighter as the weather was hotter in that region but in the country of Han, the clothing was conservative and it was layered even in the hot summers.

Stepping into the hot water, she sighed contentedly as she soaked in the hot water and relaxed her sore muscles.

'Ahhh~ Finally, some clean water after traveling for so long!'

An hour pa.s.sed and she stood up to get out of the water when she heard someone come in.

"Who is it?!" she exclaimed, quickly grabbing the towel that was at her side and wrapping it around her body.

In the misty room, Yun Long saw the outline of a woman's body and furrowed his brows.

'That's not right? Did I come into the wrong room? That Jun boy walked into here for sure...'

Taking a few steps forward, he felt water splash on him and he moved his arm to guard his face. Quickly, the person ran out of the room and into the connecting bedroom.

'I must've came into the wrong room..'

Yun Long jumped out of the window and he disappeared into the night.
