"Fourth Star Spell: Serene Ice Burial!" as Sigma's voice faded an extreme avalanche of purple, pink, and silver know burst from the magic circle drowning the combat ent.i.ty within. The colder than 10,000-year-old ice serenity qi ravaged the combat ent.i.ty's insides as sinner qi leaked from the falling pillar of serenity snow.

"Release!"

At the same time, Sigma suddenly appeared above General Uganda in the released form of his Heavenly Dog Star divine spark. His body was glowing with mysterious light with rippling muscles and starlight fur covered his torso. He was like the reincarnation of the heavenly dog stabbed down with the staff in his hand.

"Celestial…qi…" General Uganda, or rather, Ulysses Solaris felt an unprecedented sense of crisis as he stared at the current Sigma Octanis. No wonder he was so powerful in spite of being in the lower realms…so he was actually able to use barely discernible amounts of celestial qi by using his Celestial Body as a medium. With such potent qi, even if it was a negligible amount it could turn every attack into a heavenly art.

*BOOOOM*

The impact of his mighty blow tore the clouds asunder and General Uganda crashed back into the government building complex like a meteor, devastating the surrounding buildings for miles. Even more shocking for the terrified citizens of Black Heart City were the hundreds of women dressed like valkyries that suddenly flooded the streets of the Middle District, taking over all the minor sage halls and saint temples.

At the same time, in both the Golden and Outer districts, over a thousand voodoo and sinner pract.i.tioners started to riot within the city. The entire city guard turned coat and started to attack the citizens. Innocents were slaughtered, houses robbed, women captured, the city was falling into complete madness! Only the Middle District was safe as every voodoo or sinner pract.i.tioner that wasn't injured in the collapse of the governmental buildings was currently being a.s.saulted by one of these women wearing valkyrie combat armor. Their only support came from Sigma's subordinates hidden in the crowd and the members of the military who had not truly defected.

What the h.e.l.l was happening today?

"OCTANIS!!" a powerful and enraged voice boomed all across the territory surrounding Black Heart City. World-shaking pressure descended on the city making every mystic artist below the expert level s.h.i.+ver in fear. All of the voodoo pract.i.tioners and fiendish sinners instead cheered in excitement and fought and looted with more fervor than ever.

Garuda had arrived.

The mayor was long gone.

Today Black Heart City would belong to them, and no one could stop it.

"Aren't you forgetting me?" a similarly powerful voice echoes from the skies above Black Heart City, as the entire skit was tinted orange and red. Immediate devastating clashes of power were heard in the distance.

"Someone is confronting Vice-Sect Leader Garuda…" the seven Voodoo Priests in charge of the attacks on the city all frowned when they sensed the distant battle fluctuations. Who on earth was powerful enough to contend against Garuda?

Sigma Octanis stood atop a magic circle above Black Heart City. He maintained released divine spark state, patiently waiting with his arms folded and his face solemn.

"It seems you already saw through my arrival…" another voice came from the clouds, followed by the melodic neighing of a steed. The sound of the beast was mysteriously eery. A dark and powerful atmosphere burst to life and dispersed the surrounding dark clouds as a four-meter-tall black skeletal horse with flaming wings and mane descended with a burly and tall man on its back.

This man was an infernal powerhouse with ram horns on his head. He was none other than Kyle Mercy, the Supreme Elder of the South Ward's Dark Emissary Guild voodoo cult. Kyle Mercy spoke with disdain as he revealed his purple and black atmosphere with blacklight spheres. Sigma Octanis was able to instantly recognize that this opponent was at the Prism Mage rank of the Void Philosopher Sage Realm. From the bursting fiend qi on his body, Kyle Mercy was also a Psychopath Rank h.e.l.l's Master.

"Make haste. Prostrate yourself before your honor and I can consider not wasting your cultivation. I may even allow you to be a cultivation cauldron." Kyle Mercy patted the side of his Zombra Combat Ent.i.ty. It could be heard that he didn't place Sigma Octanis' strength in his eyes at all. The beast's empty eye sockets released a bright green glow, and Sigma frowned as he felt a greedy gaze on his body. It was as if this creature wanted to mount him. Sigma's gaze turned cold, as magic runes imperceptibly started forming and merging with his atmosphere. Kyle Mercy frown and sent out his perception when he saw Sigma's fearless gaze. His eyes s.h.i.+ned with gold light as he observed his opponent, "Is this the wordless casting I've heard about? I indeed cannot see through its intricacies. How many arcane circles have you formed, I cannot tell. Marvelous. Perhaps scouring your soul is the better option."

"You are not worthy, random Voodoo Priest." Sigma Octanis replied arrogantly. He would never bow his head to a worthy opponent. Merely, this was not an opponent Sigma could defeat without breaking through Gaea's curse. After doing so, he would have at most a day before he was ejected from the life star altogether. However, if Sigma chose not to fight this man, wouldn't his little lover be guaranteed to die in a horrible fas.h.i.+on? Sigma glared at his opponent as his atmosphere kept rising in strength imperceptibly. He used his force comprehension to push his strengths past the limits of the curse's seal.

Sigma didn't think he could afford to play around with the man in front of him!

"Oh?" Kyle Mercy's eyebrow rose as he sensed the change in Sigma's aura, the light of caution finally coloring his eyes. "It seems you have truly hidden your depths. No wonder the Temple Sheppard would be so partial toward you."

"You seem to have quite the decent opinion of your measly origin core," Sigma Octanis replied indifferently. He could see through his opponent's origin cultivation with ease. Suddenly, six triple-layered arcane circles appeared within Sigma's excessively deep violet atmosphere. Kyle Mercy frowned but was dumbfounded by Sigma's next turn of phrase, "Already 359-years-old and yet you act so childish. You would likely only make it to the 1-Star Magus Legend rank, and that's with great luck. Fortunately, you will not have to live in mediocrity much longer as you will die today."

"Hmph," Kyle Mercy waved his hand and four double-layered arcane circles appeared in his own atmosphere. He didn't believe his 4-Star curse would be weaker than Sigma's six-star spell, even if each of the former's arcane circles had a third layer. He stepped down from his combat ent.i.ty's back and spoke a single word, "Attack."

The Zombra spread out its skeletal wings and neighed as it charged toward Sigma furiously. The skies changed colors as raging flames made from origin energy and fire qi surrounded the Zombra like a stampeding inferno. Sigma looked unbothered as he saw the Zombra rapidly approaching. He could tell that its green eyes contained a fusion of charm and fiend qi. Ordinary opponents would be charmed into staring at those eyes as their vitality was slowly sucked away.

Three 100 meter tall moons made from astral serenity qi appeared one by one from Sigma's atmosphere as he waved the staff in his hand.

"Magic Art: Serene Moon, Astral Mirrors"

The three moons all split into three astral mirrors for a total of nine that blocked the front of Sigma Octanis like a wall. The Zombra charged straight at the mirrors a the suddenly separated and caged the combat ent.i.ty in a circle of mirrors. The Zombra released a might neigh and the inferno surrounding it exploded into a sea of flames. The astral mirrors glowed and rebounded absorbed origin energy from the flames continuously while withstanding the fire qi with astral might.

However, as soon as the wall of mirrors s.h.i.+fted, Kyle Mercy arrived before Sigma with his h.e.l.l's Mantle equipped. This was a mighty spear made from fiend, voodoo, and infernal qi. Kyle displayed wondrous and polished martial arts with his h.e.l.l's Mantle, raining blow after blow down on Sigma Octanis parried each attack with his bone staff. The six triple-layered arcane circles in his atmosphere released a deep blue light. Kyle Mercy's eyes flashed as he immediately fell back.

"Stay for a while," Sigma Octanis called out as he clapped his hands together. "Sixth Star Spell: Ice Parade!"

The six arcane circles fused into one magic circle which shone brightly transforming into hundreds of thousands of incomparably sharp ice blades that shot from the magic circle like a Gatling gun.

"Petty tricks!" screamed Kyle Mercy, who spread his arms open wide as thousands of curse marks poured out from his body forming a demonic s.h.i.+eld in his front.

*Brididididididididahdahdah*

The ice shards started barreling into the s.h.i.+eld rapidly, and Kyle Mercy sneered. However, before he could launch a counter-strike, his origin core felt like it was about to crack. Kyle frowned, and immediately cut the connection he had with the s.h.i.+eld.

*BOOM*

The s.h.i.+eld exploded and 30% of the spell's remaining power crashed into the fleeing Kyle Mercy. Kyle suffered thousands of cuts and was sent spiraling through the sky. Sigma didn't pursue, and instead, he summoned three more astral serenity moons. His starlight fur was glowing extremely bright.

"Let's end this," Sigma Octanis could sense a sinister qi building from the Golden District. He worried his men would be slaughtered without mercy if he didn't hurry and dispatch Kyle Mercy to his mission in h.e.l.l.

Nearly an hour after the fight between Sigma Octanis and Kyle Mercy started, Jodye Trill and his two partners were tumbling through the now wrecked shop. Jodye quickly rolled to his feet and withdrew his Baleful Glaive. Jodye's aura increased in strength immediately and he used rage he felt for being suddenly blown away to kick start his astral momentum into high gear.

The strength of his physique instantly surpa.s.sed 300 BP as his astral points roared to life. Jodye shot forward just as the depraved looking man with red spiked hair recovered from the rebound. The curvy woman behind the s.h.i.+eld only saw a handsome young man dash past her and slide low as poured all of his might into the polearm of his combat glaive and swung it toward the heavens. The strength of this attack sliced the red spiked hair warrior's qi momentum down by 70%.

Seeing this the girl didn't hesitate, she poured 175 BP into her paladin s.h.i.+eld which sucked it up like a sponge. Charging forward she rammed the red-haired man with all her might, sending the latter rolling pathetically out of the hole in the store, and dispersing his remaining force momentum. The red-haired man was still reeling at the sudden turn in events when everything suddenly got dark. When he looked up the last thing he saw and heard was the baleful screams that shook his soul as the blade of Jodye's Glaive penetrated his skull.

Jodye, whose s.h.i.+rt was torn in several places, tore his s.h.i.+rt off of his upper body and onto the floor, before searching the deceased opponent for loot. The curvy woman felt her heartthrob as she looked at the chiseled back of her savior as he kneeled over the menace that almost deflowered her. She s.h.i.+vered at the thought of that animal getting his hands on her. She suddenly felt the desire to embrace this young man in front of her, but her hatred for men got the better of her.

"Thank you, young hero," the curvy woman dusted herself off and spoke with a strong a clear voice. "My name if Meghan Wham. May I know the name of the one who saved this little warrior?"

"Less of that," Jodye Trill frowned as he looked up at the warped sky and felt the terrible energy fluctuations in the air. He didn't even dare to cast out his divine awareness out any further into the sky due to fear of damaging his soul. The battle fluctuations were actually that terrifying! Jodye was certain the only other time he felt such powerful auras was when Basalt attack the Trilleck Family Villa a year back. With a thought, [Pharaoh's Law] appeared in a flash of blue and gold, crowning itself on Jodye's head. Green colored thunderbolt qi snaked through his eyes and around his muscles as he flexed. With his divine consciousness, he swept every inch of the Outer District, his frown growing deeper by the second. Jodye turned to look at the highly attractive woman behind himself. She wore skin-tight white valkyrie combat armor and had big brown eyes that stared at him with rapt attention. Jodye shook his head and asked, "What the h.e.l.l is going on out here?

Looking at this beautiful young man with crystal blue eyes, who looked like a little like an ancient pharaoh's reincarnated heir, she felt her heart pound quite a bit harder than usual. However, hearing his question her face grew serious as she responded in kind, "The villains from Black Mettle Guild, White Serpent Cove, and the Death Missionary Guild are currently a.s.saulting the city. Young hero, will you stand up for the innocent lives of the city, or walk away from their suffering?"
