"Yes!" Bilan Moon, Dessa Chimes, and Aiken Moon all screamed out together, thoroughly excited that Jodye executed such a well-timed strike.
"Arrogant fool!" Crash Bandit was so mad that his beard hair was shedding. He just lost another elder! Not only that but he was gravely injured by that old woman's attack just now, it was all he could do to escape with his life. "FULL RETREAT, NOW! PULL BACK!"
*BOOM* *BOOM*
Over at the battlefield in the sky formed by the battle between Ca.s.san and Eddie Saver, Eddie used his h.e.l.l's Mantle to stab out more than 100 times per second! His spear skills were truly formidable, but Eddie's spear lights were all being deflected by a strange-looking canine floating at Ca.s.san's side. This dog possessed a mysterious aura that made it hard to pinpoint its exact location. Every time a spear light came with 30 meters of Ca.s.san his combat ent.i.ty the Lesser Temporal Mutt would make it freeze in the air long enough for Ca.s.san and dodge and counter.
After seeing Jodye was no longer in danger, Ca.s.san sighed in relief. However, afterward a soul freezing cold light flashed in his eyes. Ca.s.san grit his teeth and temporal qi distorted his aura which expanded outward to covering half a mile radius surrounding himself.
Innate Combat Skill: Lesser Temporal Zone!
Eddie Saver tried to retreat but his actions were incomparably sluggish under the atmospheric pressure. Before he could react, a terrifyingly sharp long sword came slas.h.i.+ng down.
"Leave behind an arm for me!" shouted Ca.s.san as Eddie Saver's arm was cleanly hacked off. Eddie Saver screamed in pain but used all of his energy to retreat to Crash Bandit's location. Ca.s.san chose not to pursue him and descended from the sky on an arcane circle, landing in front on Jodye Trill and company.
At this moment the whole square was reeling from what they just witnessed.
There wasn't anyone witnessing this scene who wasn't shocked speechless.
My G.o.d!
What did they just see?!
An initial stage Junior Spirit rank Earth Scientist just slaughtered a Silver Mage rank Void Door Sage. This was simply a miracle!
"Are you okay, Brother Trill?" Bilan dropped everything and sped over to Jodye's side, helping him to his feet as they gathered with the other three near the damaged Silver Meadows Inn.
"Eh…I've been to worse parties. The dancing was crazy, but the drinks were pretty lousy though," replied Jodye Trill nonchalant. Bilan rolled her eyes and thought that this boy must have been beat delusional.
"Little boss, you're too awesome!" yelled Aiken Moon as he supported his injured aunt, who wore an unpleasant face. Aiken was oblivious to her reaction as he fawned over this powerful boss of his, "I can't believe you really killed the elder of a Black Gold rank power! Thats so wild, too cool, too cool."
Even the thick skinned Jodye Trill felt a little bashful due to Aiken's reaction. That had truly been a dangerous situation before! If not for this little brats timely interference, Jodye only had a 25% chance of survival. Thinking of this, Jodye cast a bitter look at Ca.s.san who scratched his nose embarra.s.sedly, "I never expected their forces to be somewhat formidable."
"Quickly, quickly, place her down," Master Grey Willow also descended from the sky at this moment, immediately commanding Aiken to lay his aunt on her back. Grey Willow walked up and released her aura. She started humming an ancient sounding hymn and wood essence flowed into Miran Moon's body. Miran's pale and sickly skin quickly became flushed and vibrant.
Far away in the distance, Crash Bandit glanced back with a gaze full of malice. He was just about to pick up his speed and vent some of his frustration on the surroundings when he heard the most angelic voice he could have heard in this, the moment of his defeat.
"There is no need to retreat any further."
After treating Miran Moon, Grey Willow turned to Ca.s.san and said, "We must depart from here immediately. There is someone much more terrifying than that Crash Bandit among this group of villains."
"You mean Garuda," Ca.s.san nodded his head in affirmation, "However, shouldn't Lord Octanis be…"
The serene sound mirror on Ca.s.san's hip suddenly lit up, and his face drained of all color. He immediately released all of his power and summoned his combat ent.i.ty which immediately howled to the heavens and transferred all of its energy to Ca.s.san, who was suddenly dog-like in appearance. Master Grey Willow frowned and a.s.sumed the worst, as qi momentum burst from her body as well. As her nearly invisible pale golden origin atmosphere spread out the origin qi phenomenon revealed a shocking 3,450 BP without her revealing any qi concepts.
Jodye was stunned when he saw this. So Master Grey Willow was originally so powerful. This made Ca.s.san's base 1,200 BP look rather dull, but Ca.s.san's current origin qi phenomenon was shaped like the Temporal Mutt and his qi concepts and combat seed brought his total base strength up to 5,270 BP. Ca.s.san's hands blurred as curse seals manifested and faded away into his atmosphere. Jodye knew that he was casting some hidden curse arts that he could use as the situation required.
Merely, Jodye didn't have time to wonder what the situation really was because a completely stifling pressure washed over the square they were in.
High in the void above Jodye and company, a tall and robust man with dark brown skin, low-cut hair, and a white serpent tattoo around his left eye. He held an grade combat bow and stared down at the group imperiously, "So these are the ants who dare to obstruct me?"
On his back were seven black Evil Roc wings that were emitting an ominous light. His atmosphere covered the entire square and was extremely domineering. Jodye felt like everything in this square would be turned to dust if this bird man in the sky so willed it.
"Garuda…" Jodye Trill didn't have to be an earth scientist to realize who this terrifying man in the sky was. Even if Jodye hadn't seen this man at the auction, just his sudden and domineering arrival alone ill.u.s.trated his ident.i.ty clearly. "But, where is Uncle Sigma and big bro Joovee? Could they have been defeated?"
"Once this man wants to flee, who here could stop him? There is probably no one in the entire city," Ca.s.san replied to Jodye grimly. Grey Willow was once again astonished the Hand of Master Heavenly Dog would treat this brat's words so importantly. She had intended to completely ignore the brat's statement. What could he do even if he knew the answer?
Hearing Ca.s.san's answer, Jodye Trill suddenly thought of a possibility. What would make Garuda stop his battle and rush here full of overwhelming power? Was there some sort of threat to him here…or could it be?
"He's discovered me…" Jodye Trill said in a half daze, causing the three youths crowded around him to look at him in shock.
Discovered?
"Indeed, he is here for you," Ca.s.san said grimly. At this point even Master Grey Willow and Miran Moon were stunned. Here for…the boy? Of all people? But why? Ca.s.san, on the other hand, did not intend to elaborate. Jodye was smart enough to catch on. After all, this concerned his own affairs. There was no point in hiding this from the boy, he had best be prepared. After all, there was little Ca.s.san could do to stop this foe from reaching an Earth Scientist level foe. Luckily, Jodye was faster than most.
However, what Ca.s.san didn't know was Jodye's Energized Steps spell that made him so fast had already expired, and his energy was depleted. He had no way to defend himself right now other than Eureka. That being the case, Jodye Trill immediately hopped onto Eureka's back. Eureka seemed to normally disdain to attack those below the expert level, but for a foe like Garuda, even the child stage Twilight Sphinx was on edge. Eureka was not sure she could protect her master from the monster in the sky. His aura was too scary.
More than 20,000 BP. This was all Eureka was able to tell Jodye Trill about the opponent's strength. Jodye turned extremely pale when he heard this. Eureka's qi momentum suddenly started to build up, but Jodye was shocked to find her pouring her origin qi into his body. Jodye was thrilled by the revelation that his Twilight Sphinx could share her origin power. Was this the benefit of being spirit bound?
With his origin qi replenis.h.i.+ng, Jodye quickly started muttering an incantation. Thunderbolt runes manifested from his lips in fell into Eureka's legs one by one. This continued for a full breath before Jodye was done. His brow and back were full of sweat because he pushed himself so hard to finish his spell early. Luckily he did, because right at that moment the pressure surrounding him suddenly doubled, as Garuda's icy glare focused in on Jodye Trill. Jodye knew he would be unable to complete a spell in this state, which meant he had really lucked out just now.
The pressure this person released just by floating there made Jodye feel like a giant foot was pressed against his chest, ready to squish him like an ant. Jodye had simply never felt so helpless in his life, not even when he stood facing Basalt Congo. Of course, this was largely due to the presence of his combat guardians.
Merely, at that time Jodye couldn't even move a muscle. At least, his movements weren't completely sealed right now.
