Crash Bandit decided to lose all decorum and move to strike down the junior Jodye Trill himself, but Grey Willow appeared blocking his path as a giant verdant hammer appeared in the sky and smashed down on the unprepared Crash Bandit. Aunt Miran sneered and insulted him, "You have enough to deal with up here, don't you think?"
Crash was completely incensed as he let out a mighty, "ROAR!!"
Crash Bandit clapped his hands together and three double-layered arcane circles made of curse seals appeared in front of him like an ancient triangle. He threw his arms into two of them making the arcane circles shatter into violet light the fell into two of the fiend portals below like a shooting star. Then he turned his body and slammed the final arcane circle into Miran Moon before she could react, "Ugly s.l.u.t, die!"
Bang!
"Uck!" an evil-looking devil shark made of voodoo fiend qi crashed into Aunt Miran's chest. Miran Moon coughed out a huge arrow of bright red blood as her body shot down into the plaza like a missile.
"YOU FIEND!" Grey Willow's enraged voice boomed across the city, as a giant Ancient Willow Tree grew out of her atmosphere and towered into the heavens. Potent lifeblood aura and wood essence made the hairs on lower rank warriors skin stand on end. Seeing this tree, Crash Bandit's expression finally showed a trace a trepidation. So this was the true Master Grey Willow from the Seven Spirits Sect in Rodinia.
This was a very bad thing. Blu Leaf of the of the House Leaf in Rodinia was famous for her ferocity when angered. Rumor had it that recently she mastered a bit of her master's Sacred Fertilizer Divine Life Art. Looking at the huge combat ent.i.ty in front of him, Crash Bandit was willing to bet money that these rumors were true. He had never once heard of Blu Leaf possessing such a towering combat ent.i.ty. Her Ancient River's Sacred Willow Combat soul should only be 50 feet tall at best.
"You, I know who you are! You're from that Leaf clan!" Crash Bandit screamed out, but before he could say more a giant tree branch came slamming toward him without anyone yelling timber. Crash grimaced and summoned all of his energy to guard.
*BOOM!*
"AUNTIE?!"
"Aunt Miran, No!" At the same time, Aiken and Bilan both screamed and ran over to the crash site to check on their aunt.
Dessa Chimes had just relaxed a bit when her shoulders immediately tensed again due to the latest drama. Today just had too many twists for the young girl, and her anxiety was piling up. Prior to Bilan Moon and Jodye Trill's appearance, Aiken and Dessa already exhausted themselves trying to escape. They couldn't handle an army of fiends who listened to organized commands. At least, not unless Dessa revealed Autumn Saver. However, according to Mr. Jupiter, the day she revealed Autumn Saver in front of White Serpent Cove would be her last day as a human. These words scared Dessa so much she had nightmares about this topic. Autumn Saver itself was unwilling to appear right now as well, even the sword glyph on her hand only appeared if the treasure spirit needed to speak. Thus, even if she knew where the treasured sword was hiding she wouldn't dare to use it in this battle.
Now, both Aiken and Bilan had abandoned the front lines to go check on their aunt. Though this couldn't be faulted, Dessa still thought it was an insult toward Mr. Jupiter if his comrades abandoned their positions so easily. They were currently surrounded by enemies, even if the a.s.sault had paused briefly due to Bilan Moon and Mr. Jupiter's mighty display.
Indeed, when she glanced at Mr. Jupiter he was frowning intensely. Merely he wasn't looking at Miran Moon, but rather the two voodoo fiend portals that were infected by Crash Bandit's curse art. They were both releasing ominous black lights. The weaker of the two controllers was screaming and bleeding from his seven orifices, as her body turned black and corroded by death qi. Even the White Serpent Cove disciples were panicking and scattering away in fear. It was a truly disgusting sight, that even the experienced Jodye Trill had a lot of trouble stomaching.
"Argh, No! Boss help me, NOOO!" Jodye and the other youths were suddenly distracted by the scream of a female controller. When they turned to look they saw a ten-feet-tall hairy looking monster with shark teeth and animated crimson eyes. Its long red tongue flailed in the air as it crunched and munched on its controller bit by bit.
"Third level Ghoul, Waki!" Bilan Moon exclaimed in fear as she supported her heavily injured aunt. This was not a beast she would be able to face, and it was for one princ.i.p.al reason, "It's a maniac! Maniac Waki Ghoul!"
A third level tier two maniac ghoul would possess at least 1,000 BP naturally. This was without taking into account its fiend qi! This was a terrifying thing to imagine for these youths who didn't even possess more than 100 BP naturally.
"You kids must…must run! He wants to kill the young negus boy, not you," Aunt Miran coughed out blood as she spoke in a raspy tone, "If you don't escape now, those Maniac Ghouls will surely target you all. Escape while the brat is throwing away his life."
Bilan Moon frowned as she heard her aunt's words. Was her aunt this sort of person all along? Was Bilan going to become like this if she kept following her aunt's teachings? After all, even her master once advised Bilan to listen to very little counsel from those with lower potential. At the time, Bilan thought that these words were too cruel. However, she was not beginning to understand. Her aunt was far too petty and spineless, she actually wanted Jodye to die after all he had done!
"Wait…" Aiken Moon was suspicious as he watched the turn of events. He had a really bad feeling in his gut. This was a type of intuition that couldn't be explained properly. He muttered under his breath, "If there's a Maniac Waki that ate its controller…then what happened to that other controller?"
f.u.c.k!
Jodye's sharp hearing picked up Aiken's voice and his eyes went wide. He had forgotten about this that quick. Jodye immediately concentrated and sent out streams of divine consciousness. Not even a full second after doing so he paled, instantly taking an energized step in Dessa's direction. At the same time, the Waki reacted as if it had received some sort of enticement, barreling towards Aiken Moon at its top speed, which was only slower than Jodye's on this entire battlefield.
"Spiritual guard, you d.a.m.n garden tool!" Jodye Trill barked at the Treasure Spirit of Autumn Saver as he approached Dessa, but he was a step too late.
"EEERAAAAAAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!"
An ear-shattering shriek repelled Jodye's body, in spite of his fierce momentum. The terrible sound wave attack even carried hints of soul force. It was a truly devastating sound. Jodye had to operate the t.i.tanic Rage Law and Cosmis Vision scripture to keep his organs from rupturing and his soul from splitting. In the center of this sound wave barrage, a pale golden s.h.i.+eld surrounded Dessa and she faced the full brunt of this shriek from h.e.l.l. Dessa covered her ears and screamed as she looked at the appearance of this Maniac Banshee, which looked like the ghost of a voluptuous widower. The Maniac Banshee's eyes had bulging veins and she had a very real mouth full of fangs, markedly different from a normal banshee whose face was obscured.
"Maniac Banshee's shriek!" Jodye Trill grimaced. Although a Banshee was only a fifth level fiend, a Maniac Banshee was as powerful as a ghoul. This was not a level that Dessa could compete against at all. She was already bleeding from her ears and eyes. Seeing this, Jodye Trill completely lost his cool for the first time in this life, "DESSA!!"
Could it be he couldn't even protect his own Hand?
For the first time in a long time, Jodye felt his rage burn ferociously in his mind as his astral qi momentum exploded. His overall strength in this state increased by 1.5 times! Relying on his fusion with the T'Zhane's memories, Jodye immediately recognized this sensation. This was the technique unlocked at the t.i.tanic Rage Immortal Compendium's second stage, the Slaughter State! Jodye had just completely unlocked this technique early due to his uncontrollable rage.
[Warning! The host has entered a new state. Recording…]
The ethereal voice of the [Cosmos Revolving Grimoire] rings out for the first time in Jodye's mind. Jodye became aware in this moment that with divine consciousness he could hear his grimoire's voice, rather than just feeling it's intent as if they were thoughts.
While Jodye would normally feel curious about all of this, he simply didn't care at all at this moment. He had only one thought on his mind.
KILL!
"Calamity Beam!" Jodye's left eye burned with searing heat but he didn't care as he directly fired off a beam of concentrated calamity source at the Maniac Banshee who was still screaming. The Banshee's scream stopped abruptly. Her bulging eyes contracted by 70 percent before another ear-piercing scream escaped her mouth as her ghost body was covered in calamity origin qi flames. Merely, this scream was one of inescapable agony.
"AaaahhhhhhuhhhhaaaaahhhuuuuuHHH!"
Smoke emitted from the Maniac Banshee's dissipating body as Jodye dove into a crowd of disciples performing his Dance of the Evil Blood Moon. Every attack he released possessed more than 2,000 BP of power and the blood, guts, and severed limbs of these opponents danced right along with the crimson and blue lights from the first and second steps.
"ESCAPE! WE CAN'T STAND UP TO HIM!" bellowed a sinner warrior from enemy's camp.
"Runaway!" said a young neophyte from the enemy's camp, "seniors please summon your familiars!"
"It's too late!"
Jodye was so lost in his rage he didn't notice that his origin energy could barely keep up with his expenditure of power. Luckily in this wondrous state, his astral points were showing their uniqueness. Terrified screams and wails of pain filled the square as Jodye murdered dozens of disciples in a mere couple of seconds.
Jodye Trill seemed to become a berserk beast in a frenzy as he brandished his Scarlet Flame Magic Sword which was currently engulfed in huge flames. Whirlwinds of heat and origin qi littered the square. He had already used the Burning Heaven deployment spell twice, using up two of the FLAME hieroglyphs, so know only the AME was lit up. Now he only had three more times to use it, before having to nurture his sword with calamity origin qi for a period of time. However, Jodye seemed to not even care about this. His rage was currently being directly converted into power that reinforced his astral might in pretty much the same way the origin qi phenomenon reinforced one's origin energy.
Meanwhile, the Maniac Waki opened its mouth three meters wide, ready to devour Aiken Moon in one fell swoop.
"Little Morph, watch out!" Bilan Moon's high pitch scream entered Jodye's ear, and in the next step, he was already in front of Aiken Moon brandis.h.i.+ng his blazing magic sword. Jodye didn't hesitate to execute his deployment spell once more. This time he didn't take care to avoid anything and just attacked wildly.
Burning Heaven Slash, 3,240 BP!
"AaaoooO!"
The Maniac Waki howled in fear as a huge wolf's maw made of burning scarlet flames engulfed it entirely, blasting it instantly into ashes. However the burning wolf's maw didn't stop there, burning a dozen disciples behind it, their flesh melting away instantly, these poor disciples didn't even have a chance to scream. All that remained were charred bones and burning flesh.
"Oh G.o.d," as Bilan Moon smelled the putrid stench of charred flesh, blood, and death, she felt truly sick to her stomach. Jodye Trill was like a killing G.o.d sent from the ninth level of h.e.l.l, he was unstoppable! It was terrible and wonderful, fascinating to the extreme yet extremely terrifying. Bilan felt quite wary of him in his current state but couldn't take her eyes off of him. How could he kill people like it was just chopping vegetables? She didn't know how to feel about this, but she was thankful he was around. She thought the death of his attendant drove him insane until he appeared to rescue little Morph. That's when she knew that he was definitely still conscious, he came over because he heard her screaming. This gave Bilan a sweet feeling in the midst of this madness.
Could Bilan truly be attracted to such a northern savage? She wasn't certain of her own feelings. After all, in Rodinia killing without just reason was strictly forbidden. Only bandits and gangsters would do that.
Of course, what she didn't know was that Jodye was definitely both a bandit and a gangster throughout his past life, and he truly fit this description more so than anyone else. It wasn't simply due to the Slaughter State he was in currently. This state only heightened these base instincts to a transcendent level.
"All units, retreat! Retreat now!" After watching his army of disciples and fiends being completely decimated, and also being unable to shake off the enraged Grey Willow, Crash Bandit was forced to consider this mission as failed. After all, there was still Eddie Saver who couldn't defeat that old man shortly and himself who couldn't get past Master Grey Willow. Crash Bandit put some distance between himself and his opponent and pulled out a serene sound stone. "First Vice-Sect Master? We have a problem."
