Bai Yao tried to tone down the weird feeling and kept calm. She walked toward her own house slowly, thinking about the preparation necessary for tomorrow’s appointment with the Prince.

She didn’t overlook the changes in Bai Yu’s expression. Seeing her face turn dark, her heart delighted, though she couldn’t understand.

Her lips curved. Although she always kept a distance from the Prince without any reason, she was still happy that this close relations.h.i.+p with the Prince made her upset.

She went back to her building and sat down to drink tea. The maid came to ask her for dinner. She sighed and stood up again.

On the way, she heard the sounds of porcelain tools being broken from Bai Yu’s garden. Meanwhile, Bai Yu’s sharp tone and the maids comforting voices accompanied, though she couldn’t hear clearly what they were talking about.

“Lady, don’t be angry. It is not worth it!” A maid was trying to stop Bai Yu, who was holding up an antique flower vase, planning to throw it to the ground.

“Lady, no! This one is the birthday gift from the lord! If you break it, the lord might hear from someone and . . .” The maid shut up when she felt the warning was enough.

Bai Yu slowed down her arm. Her sanity came back. “You are right! If any one of you dare betray me and tell my father . . .”

She looked around throughout the whole room. All the maids and servants bowed down to kowtow. “Lady, we won’t!”

Bai Yu snorted, but ceased her rebukes.

Though she didn’t say anything more, n.o.body dared to stand up until her close maid hinted for them to straighten.

Bai Yu turned back to the tea table and asked the servants to clean the floor. The maid hurried to bring a cup of tea to her.

Her eyes changed from time to time, reckoning how to break the appointment of Mo Xi and Bai Yao.

Mo Xi should be hers. How could she give him to Bai Yao?

Bai Yao, wait and see. I will let you feel sorry about your deeds these days.

The second day was a sunny day, with wind bringing a special thick flagrance of flowers.
