Right after he spoke, Zhou Sheng flew over on his jindouyun and shook out the gun he wielded in one hand. Yu Hao spread his wings open and flew straight into the castle first!

“The Great Sage is coming——” Zhou Sheng shouted angrily, his red scarf fluttered in the wind and transformed into a cloud of fire. Yu Hao suddenly soared, swung out both his daggers, and spun around in the air, taking on Ou Weihong directly!

Ou Weihong sat on the throne of this dream world. His head was long gone, and he had the body of a twisted skeleton. He raised his broken fingers and gently snapped them.

Within the loud blare, the throne broke down and turned into a boundless sea of blood. The ceiling of the castle was torn apart by an invisible force, the ground began to rise, and like in the dreams of Yu Hao, Chen Yekai, and s.h.i.+ Ni, it turned into a grand platform. The headless Ou Weihong stood in the center of the sea of blood; innumerable huge claws stretched out from within the sea and clawed toward the sky!

Above Ou Weihong’s head, a dark totem was descending slowly — within that pitch black darkness, a very faint golden ray of light could be seen. The sea of blood was spreading constantly as it stretched out along the platform. Ou Qihang’s home had once again turned into a pool of blood.

Chen Yekai half carried Ou Qihang and said into his ear, “Hold on! We’re reaching soon!”

Yu Hao and Zhou Sheng were engaged in a fierce battle with the countless sharp claws in the sea of blood. Whenever Zhou Sheng fired a shot, it would shatter a blood claw; after he finished using up all the bullets in the magazine, he threw the gun away and turned around to look at Chen Yekai and Ou Qihang.

“Call the sun out!” Zhou Sheng shouted, “As soon as the sun comes out we’ll win!”

A b.l.o.o.d.y claw shot towards Zhou Sheng. Yu Hao let out an angry cry and dragged out two arcs of light, cutting through the claws that rose from the sea of blood in an instant. At this moment, Ou Qihang had reached the edge of the sea.

“I remember……you used to……tell me……Dad……” Ou Qihang’s pupils gradually diffused and signs of livor mortis were appearing all over his body. His voice trembled, “No matter……what I witness, as long as I hold fast to my beliefs……then……no one……can change……me……”

Yu Hao and Zhou Sheng parted in mid air briefly. Ou Qihang’s voice travelled to their ears, and they were both stunned.

The headless Ou Weihong uttered, “But my son, sometimes, you’ll have to bear crimes for the sake of your family……I don’t regret……”

The sea of blood surged in crazily and drowned both Chen Yekai and Ou Qihang in an instant. Yu Hao and Zhou Sheng rushed forward; countless b.l.o.o.d.y claws stacked together to form a gigantic cage that trapped them firmly within!

Zhou Sheng brandished his jingubang and ruthlessly stabbed it at Ou Weihong’s chest——

Ou Weihong was immediately sent flying backwards out of the cage. Zhou Sheng shouted, “Take this chance now!”

Chen Yekai threw out his scalpel from within the sea of blood; a silver ray of light sliced off all the broken arms and fingers in his surroundings, then he paddled with all his might to carry Ou Qihang with him out of the water. Ou Qihang’s pupils were already cloudy and unclear, and Chen Yekai exerted his utmost effort just to lift his elbow.

“Wake up, Qihang.” Chen Yekai’s deep voice rang out beside him, “Stop sleeping!”

Ou Qihang immediately opened his eyes on reflex and pointed all five fingers at the sky. With a loud blast, the dark totem dispersed and turned into light particles that flew towards Ou Qihang.

Meanwhile, Yu Hao drew out an arc of light in the b.l.o.o.d.y arm cage, then broke through the cage with Zhou Sheng at the same time and flew out!

Ou Qihang uttered a cry, pointing to the totem in the sky. His totem had disintegrated into golden particles that looked like a river of stars; they shot towards his body along his arm and flooded him within an instant.

“Kaikai!” Zhou Sheng wiped off the blood on his face and turned around at the same time as Yu Hao, only to see Chen Yekai letting go of Ou Qihang and suddenly get yanked into the depths of the b.l.o.o.d.y pool. Yu Hao and Zhou Sheng flew toward Chen Yekai, but in the next moment, the entire platform collapsed with a loud rumble!

Ou Qihang’s entire body emitted a golden light and began dispersing in the shape of a ring. He slowly rose from the pool of blood, raised his left hand, and a mechanical finger sleeve appeared on his fingers.

His pupils turned golden. Yu Hao and Zhou Sheng flew away at the same time and looked down to scour for Chen Yekai’s whereabouts.

“Dad,” Ou Qihang said, “I love you.”

Then, Ou Qihang’s five fingers curled up, an intense light burst forth from between his fingers. The pool of blood exploded; it gushed madly down the high-rise building and formed a ma.s.sive, b.l.o.o.d.y waterfall. A blue Gundam slowly rose from the pool of blood, holding an unconscious Chen Yekai in its hands.

“Kaikai!”

“Chen Laos.h.i.+!”

Chen Yekai lay in the Gundam’s palm, blood whoos.h.i.+ng as it receded from his body. Both his eyes were shut tight.

“Qihang! You’re too naive!” Ou Weihong roared madly, then all of the b.l.o.o.d.y water began converging towards his body, sweeping along the zombies that were on the Earth to fly towards the sky — forming a giant!

Upon landing, the Gundam placed Chen Yekai on the ground, opened up its face mask, caught Ou Qihang, and placed him within. Ou Qihang sat in the c.o.c.kpit. His finger, which was wearing a mechanical finger sleeve, pressed against the control sphere.

“This is what you bought for me; it’s my favourite toy.” Ou Qihang’s voice resounded through the dark sky and he shouted, “You told me when I was a child that it symbolised justice. Today, let us see who’s right!”

After he spoke, the b.l.o.o.d.y giant formed out of countless broken limbs of zombies summoned up a hurricane. The thrusters of the Gundam ignited, propelling the Gundam into the air. It stepped onto the building beside it, took a few steps as a run-rup, then spun around in the air, its left hand brandis.h.i.+ng a blade comparable to the size of a subway carriage; a shock gun lit up in its right hand and fired several shots intermittently——

Zhou Sheng had just lifted up one of Chen Yekai’s arms when the building above them collapsed with a loud rumble. Yu Hao immediately stepped onto the jindouyun and shouted, “Go!”

The Gundam and zombie giant were at least ten-stories tall. Yu Hao vaguely thought that the scene was akin to Ultraman fighting against a huge monster. In their vicinity, the shopping malls, residential buildings, and official buildings had all been pulverized into pieces. The zombie giant grappled with the Gundam and abruptly pushed it into a gla.s.s office building, and the shattered gla.s.s shards filled the sky!

“Kaikai! Kaikai!” Zhou Sheng shouted.

Golden light coiled around the dark clouds in the horizon. A ray of sunlight fell upon Chen Yekai’s body.

When the ray of light cast upon him, Chen Yekai’s complexion recovered and he opened his eyes.

Yu Hao cried out, “Great Chieftain!”

Chen Yekai coughed up a mouthful of blood. Just as Yu Hao was getting nervous, Zhou Sheng said, “He was choking on it. Do you feel better now?”

Vigour flowed back into Chen Yekai’s pupils. Yu Hao placed him on the top of the TV tower. The Gundam and zombie giant’s fight shook the earth, and almost all of the office buildings in their way had been crushed into ruins.

As soon as Chen Yekai regained consciousness, he looked into the distance.

“I can take care of myself.” Chen Yekai turned over and got up. Zhou Sheng and Yu Hao immediately separated from him and flew up at the same time. The dark clouds joined up again, and the world once again plunged into darkness.

Zhou Sheng said, “Summon them!”

Yu Hao, “Start!”

Zhou Sheng whistled. Chen Yekai looked into the sky. The first ones to break through the dark clouds and rush over from afar were Zhou Sheng’s black dragon and Chen Yekai’s Feathered Serpent G.o.d. Zhou Sheng flew over with his jindouyun and landed on the back of his black dragon, while Chen Yekai did a quick run-up before jumping off the TV tower and leaping onto his Feathered Serpent G.o.d.

The Gundam suddenly fired a shot at an office building and half of the building exploded. The zombie giant that looked like Xingtian let out a mad roar and grabbed onto its gun arm, while its other hand tried to take off the Gundam’s face mask——

In an instant, the turret on the Gundam’s back flipped over, locked onto its shoulder, then began firing a series of indiscriminate bombardments on the zombie giant. The giant’s chest suffered from this surprise attack and abruptly pushed it away!

The black dragon spewed out its dragon flames and burned the back of the zombie giant, while the Feathered Serpent G.o.d opened its mouth and roared, shooting out countless sharp blades from its mouth. Vines emerged from the ground and wrapped around both its legs!

The giant suddenly swung its arm and smashed into the black dragon and Feathered Serpent G.o.d. Chen Yekai and Zhou Sheng spun around in the air, both of them riding their respective mounts as they flew away. Just as the giant was about to lunge towards the Gundam buried in the ruins, a whistle suddenly rang out behind it.

The giant slowly turned around. Yu Hao wielded a staff in one hand, six light wings spread out behind him; the silver light emitted dazzled everyone’s eyes, and he pointed his staff at the dark sky.

“The Archangel specialises in subduing the undead like you.” Yu Hao said in a low voice.

The dark clouds suddenly split apart, and thunder struck down madly like a waterfall accompanied by millions of bolts of divine fire and meteors that blew the zombie giant into pieces in an instant!

Upon impact, the meteors turned into innumerable military generals who brandished their swords and hunted down the thousands of zombies that resulted from the disintegration of the zombie giant. A trail of blood could be seen on level ground. The black dragon and Feathered Serpent G.o.d flew up once again; the dragon spewed out flames while an intense light burst out from the serpent’s mouth, and along with the lightning that struck down from the sky, the zombie giant continued to disintegrate under the combined bombardment of all these tremendous forces.

“Do it!” Zhou Sheng shouted angrily.

The Gundam burst into full throttle and finally flew out of the ruins. It flipped over in the air and rushed towards the zombie giant; its face mask sprang open, revealing Ou Qihang’s body; the zombie giant’s chest had collapsed, revealing Ou Weihong’s incomplete body.

Ou Qihang curled up five fingers and stretched them, his fingers forming a gesture of a gun. His Gundam dove down, and he placed his left hand on the chest of his father’s chest.

Ou Qihang’s face was awash with tears, and a gentle blanket seemed to fall on the world around him. A breeze blew by, and the red clouds that filled the sky retreated. Time had pa.s.sed, and during that year when he was six years old, a certain afternoon illuminated by the golden glow of the sun lingered.

That day, he had sat cross-legged with his father on the sofa. The six-year-old him made a gun gesture with his fingers and pointed at his father, squinting handsomely as he said, “Bang!”

His tall and handsome father pretended to fall on the sofa, and the small Ou Qihang burst out laughing. Not long after, Ou Weihong sat back up again, and small Ou Qihang uttered another “bang!”, and his father cooperated once again by flopping back down on the sofa.

When he jumped over to check, his father suddenly sprang back up and laughed as he held him in his arms, letting his son listen to the sound of his heart thumping in his chest.

“Bang!” Ou Qihang said softly.

A strong light burst forth from his mechanical finger sleeve, and with a loud shot, it pierced through the heart of the headless zombie.

Yet, the zombie slowly reached out and gently, but firmly, held his son in an embrace.

“Dad,” Ou Qihang leaned on his father, “It’s over……”
