As I was lying on the bed, my thoughts started drifting. On matters such as romance, I was not as innocent as I said I was; I also had some secrets that I did not tell anyone.

About a hundred years ago, Qinghan gradually grew up and that stunning face of his that would put the men of the three worlds to shame would dazzle me every day. It was inevitable that my heart which had been dry and dull for so many thousands of years to have some ripples.

At that time, I had only experienced the ruthless battlefield and was a female war G.o.d that was inexperienced in matters of love. I was too pure. So innocent that I didn't even know that I was starting to think of Qinghan differently…

I was also certain that Qinghan did not see me as a woman romantically. I was his saviour, I was also his respected teacher, I could even be like his family member, an existence that could be relied upon. I never tried to sound him out, neither did I try to confirm my feelings. Nonetheless, it cannot be said that I was completely unaware of how I felt. In those hundred years, there were two times where I accidentally realised that I did not just see Qinghan as a disciple…

The first was when a little pig demon had taken human form and fell in love with Qinghan…

At first, the little pig demon would just quietly admire him from afar and so I stayed silent. Afterwards, Qinghan went out and did not return for two days. I searched the mountain carefully for a period of time, yet I still could not find him. Just when I was feeling anxious, he came back with that pig demon. That was when I found out that Qinghan had been tricked by the little pig demon to live outside the mountain for 2 days.

I remained expressionless, “You have grown up, now you know how to go out and play without telling me"

Since Qinghan knew my temperament so well, even though I mentioned it casually, he could still hear my unhappiness and began to be nervous, “I originally thought that I could come back in a day… Master…”

“Esteemed G.o.ddess,” the little pig demon interrupted, “Don't blame big brother Qinghan, I was the one who tricked him out to play. It was because I said that my grandfather was ill that he was willing to go out with me…” She hung her head down, “Blame me instead…”

Did she thinking that by acting pitiful I would not punish her?

I raised an eyebrow, “Alright, then tell me, what kind of punishment would you want?”

The little pig demon froze and was a bit dumbfounded, completely not expecting me to actually punish her based on that perfunctory line.

“I…”

The surroundings immediately plunged into silence and the little pig demon bit her lips, looking like she was wronged. I just stood there with my arms crossed, not moving.

Yet at this moment, Qinghan opened his mouth, “Master… it's my fault, I was careless and did not inform you before leaving…”

So this brat has now learned to show pity and tenderness to women? To dare protect some other girl in front of me!

My heart was burning with rage and right at this moment, the little pig demon added more fuel to the fire. “Esteemed G.o.ddess, it's me, I was the one that secretly admired big brother Qinghan. That's why I tricked him into going out with me, don't blame him, punish me, really punish me!”

I was like an oppressive and unreasonable master, standing against a pair of little lovers that desperately need to break their shackles to pursue their freedom to marry… Fuming with rage, I smiled, “What do you mean punishment? Now that you've grown up, Qinghan you can go out whenever you want to without telling me. Who you want to go with, I also do not care. Take it that from today onwards you have completed your apprentices.h.i.+p, you can go wherever you want.

What I said was, of course, out of anger. Yet I myself was surprised after blurting it out, I did not understand why I was this angry and even said such serious words.

When Qinghan heard this, his face immediately became whiter than a sheet of paper.

Looking at that made me annoyed and I turned, heading into the house.

At this time, how could Qinghan allow me to leave? He wanted to pull me but felt that it was too disrespectful, so in a flash, he stood before me, blocking my path. I had to say, his training did yield results.

I glanced at him, “What? Want to make a move on me?”

He pursed his lips and with a thump, knelt on the floor. He looked so determined that I took a step back, “Do you want to scare me to death?”

Bowing his head, he spoke, “Qinghan is wrong, I ask Master to punish me, this disciple is willing to bear all consequences.”

The little pig demon at the side also seemed shocked. Looking at her hesitating to join Qinghan in kneeling made me even more annoyed. “I don't dare to punish you, there's someone pleading for you.”

Qinghan did not say a word but the little pig demon was pushed towards the door by an invisible energy. She got fl.u.s.tered and kept calling out for big brother Qinghan but even when she got pushed out of the door and the doors closed, Qinghan did not reply.

“Master please punish me.”

I ignored him and returned to the room.

Yet before half a stick of incense had pa.s.sed, I could not sit still and had no choice but to stand at the door outside the house. Looking at Qinghan who was still dejectedly kneeling, I gave two coughs. “Have you not knelt enough? Are you not planning to train this afternoon?”

He raised his head to look at me, and in that moment, his dark pupils looking like they had been illuminated by the starlight. “Master is not chasing me away?”

Our eyes met and I saw my reflection in his eyes. I felt like a wilful child for being so angry about such a small matter and even saying such words. I sighed, trying to come up with an excuse for my extreme behaviour. “I was looking all over the mountain for you for two whole days, do you feel that not informing me and letting me be anxious is a happy thing?”

He silently lowered his head, “In the future, Qinghan would not leave before informing you.”

I nodded, forgiving him.

After that, I never saw that little pig demon again. Later on, I found out from the other demons that Qinghan said something to her that made her cry very hard. After crying for three whole days, she packed up and left Misty Mountain.

Logically speaking, I should feel guilty after hearing this news but after knowing that she left, I mysteriously smiled and felt like I had defeated an enemy.

And it was from the moment I smiled that I first became aware that I… might have feelings for Qinghan that was not in a normal master disciple relations.h.i.+p.

As for the second time I became aware of the little secret in my heart, that was a very long story...
