Chapter 526: Someone’s Someone
Translator: Atlas Studios Editor: Atlas Studios
Salimu: “I’m serious, Captain Quan. Your sickness will be cured once you got a girlfriend.”
Quan Shaoteng wanted to cuss. “Young fellow, can I ask how your big uncle is doing?”
Salimu replied innocently, “I don’t have an uncle. Oh yes! Someone from Intelligence Team asked me about you yesterday.”
Quan Shaoteng felt puzzled. “Why ask about me?”
Salimu explained, “They wanted to find out if you have been very stressed out lately?”
Quan Shaoteng: “Tch… what the heck?”
Salimu: “Maybe those from the Intelligence Team are generally more sensitive. They noticed that you have been posting strange WeChat Moments that your content exudes the sour taste of a bachelor’s failure to find a mate…”
Quan Shaoteng flared up. “D*mn! Which b*stard is that? Give me his name!”
Salimu: “I can’t tell you. You’re asking me to commit an act of betrayal!”
Quan Shaoteng cursed, “To h.e.l.l with your big uncle!”
Salimu replied innocently, “I already told you I don’t have any uncles. Captain Quan, you really need to cure your sickness. Otherwise, if the entire Serious Crime Division One learnt that you’re still single at such an ‘old’ age, it’s really pitiful…”
Quan Shaoteng was actually feeling sleepy earlier. Now, all his sleepiness was gone thanks to the young fellow who enraged him so.
“Just you wait! I’ll take ‘good’ care of you when I come back.”
Salimu was puzzled. “I only mean well, yet you treat me like this…”
Xiang Wan was lying on her bed when they were chatting.
She was giggling and joined in the conversation. “Captain Quan, I’ve got a way to help you out. In fact, it will avoid a lot of awkward situations for all bachelors out there.”
Salimu asked in enthusiasm before Quan Shaoteng replied, “What is that? Although I’m still young, it’s actually good to learn more things. I don’t want to follow Captain Quan’s footsteps. Teacher Xiang, quick, tell me about it.”
Xiang Wan shared, “If you want to post any WeChat Moments, refer to any related person as “someone” instead of who they really are.”
Salimu didn’t get it. “Ah?”
Xiang Wan patiently provided an example. “For instance, you were over the moon after having dissed Captain Quan in the group chat today. You can say: ‘I dissed someone in the group chat today and I’m feeling exhilarated about it!’ See the difference?”
Salimu felt excited. “Yeah, this makes sense. Today I went shopping with someone and my legs hurt from all the walking. But what to do?… In actual fact, that person who I went shopping with was Captain Bai, yet when I changed it to ‘someone’, others will certainly think that I have a girlfriend, right? Hahaha, I’ve learnt this trick.”
Bai Muchuan chimed in the conversation. “Scram!”
After sending that message, Bai Muchuan turned and saw that Xiang Wan was still grinning quietly and took her mobile phone away.
“Stop playing with the phone!”
“Eh?” Xiang Wan looked at him with a startled expression. Her hands were in mid-air for a moment when her phone was being taken away. “What’s up? I’m just looking at their conversation.”
She wanted to get back her phone but Bai Muchuan quickly put it far away from her and conveniently hugged her in his arms.
“Talk to me, then we’ll do something that cannot be described.”
Xiang Wan: “…”
Last night, he had finally returned home. He took a bath and slept till morning which made Xiang Wan thought that he was no longer interested to do some ‘extracurricular’ activity with her. Never would she have thought that although he didn’t wake up as early as usual, he actually wanted to laze around at home and do that ‘extracurricular’ activity with her!
She couldn’t stop laughing and pinched his face. “The fire is reaching the eyebrows, yet you’re not at the least worried?”
Hmph! Bai Muchuan took her hand lazily. “There’s no fire on the eyebrows!”
Then he let out a low chuckle. “The fire’s here!”
When men woke up in the morning, a certain part of their body would be in an ‘imposing’ state.
Xiang Wan was blus.h.i.+ng slightly but her furrowed eyebrows didn’t get back to its usual state and she told him her concerns. “From last night till now, nothing happened at all. Seriously, I’m worried…”
“Nothing happened means that something big will happen.”
Bai Muchuan stroked her hand. “This is akin to fis.h.i.+ng, one shouldn’t be anxious and must persist on waiting!”
Xiang Wan puffed a sigh. “I’m the one who came up with the idea of disseminating the information via my novel. If this didn’t work, what all of you have done would go to waste!”
“Don’t worry.” Bai Muchuan embraced her. “You must have patience.”
Patience.
Mm, patience.
He had a lot of patience that morning.
A large warm hand crept up from her waist. He was similar to a fluffy German Shepherd who wanted attention as he snuggled against her. Such behavior was totally different from the serious look when he was working.
“Aye! Why did you turn back into the three-year-old Bai again?” Xiang Wan narrowed her eyes as she looked at him with a smile.
“Three-year-old? It’s one-year-old and that’s final. I might get proud if you add a year more.”
Pffft! Xiang Wan couldn’t help but laugh when he behaved shamelessly.
There was a type of men. He was usually very masculine and manly. He was very a.s.sertive, firm and decisive when it comes to work. Yet when he was with his woman, he would seek for attention, laze around in bed and ask for some benefits. That behavior of his made her melt.
“One-year-old Bai…” She spoke at his ear with a chuckle. “You want it?”
“Isn’t that obvious?” Bai Muchuan held her hand tightly. “You can feel it for yourself. I’m already transformed into a tough, straight man.”
Uh! Only he would use ‘tough, straight man’ in such context!
“I see.” Xiang Wan laughed in joy. “Are you saying that you’re not one previously?”
“You’re asking for a beating!” Bai Muchuan patted her head and showed a cold face. “You know what I’m referring to.”
“I don’t know.”
“Xiang Wan!” Bai Muchuan showed a grim face. “I order you to serve me now.”
“Your Majesty, I do want to.” Xiang Wan blinked piteously. “But my great aunt wouldn’t allow it…”
Great aunt?
Bai Muchuan was stunned for a second.
“I…” Bai Muchuan heaved a puff of breath then he looked at her, pulled her to him, held her waist and showered her with kisses. “I don’t care, little nymph. You’re responsible for putting out the fire!”
“Huh?” Why was she responsible?
She looked at him with her eyes wide-opened. She saw Bai Muchuan’s amorous desire in his eyes, her cheeks blushed in no time and she smiled. That smile was warm and soft with a deathly allure to Bai Muchuan. “I know you will have a way to deal with this.” He insisted.
“But I don’t?” Xiang Wan glanced at him.
“Didn’t you write a lot of such plots in your novel? Can’t you put just one into practice?”
“…”
Novels under the romance fiction genre contained plenty of suggestive scenes.
But there was still a gap between fiction and reality.
Xiang Wan started to giggle. “In novels, it’s all too common that such scenes would last for an entire night. If it’s only two to three hours, the male leading characters in books would be too ashamed to admit that… If it’s less than an hour, hmm, they would die directly of shame. Are you sure… you are up to it?”
“Mm?” Bai Muchuan narrowed his eyes slowly, his eyes were flas.h.i.+ng dangerously.
“We can give that a try when you are good. For now, let’s settle the current problem!”
“…”
“…”
Some rustling sounds.
There was a long silence in the bedroom.
“Bai Muchuan, you’re a big bully…”
“No, I treat you as my darling precious.”
“I don’t believe it. Everything a man says is fake, fake.”
“Don’t be angry, okay? Forget it then, it’s all my fault, I don’t want it anymore.”
“… Forget it, since you’re so pitiful, I’ll help.”
“Huff!”
Someone let out a gasp after getting his way.
