Chapter 13 Went to the Capital City of Qiongyue Kingdom

The Capital City Que Siyu mentioned was called Xiaoxiang, one of the big cities in the Qiongyue Kingdom.

Though this city was the nearest one to the Cloud River Mountains, it took them three days to walk there. During those days, Siyu had her old friend back, and Bird learned the basic cultivation manners of spiritual fire. In half a month, with a high IQ, Bird Three had cultivated some inner strength. Sometimes he got Siyu’s strength transferred to him, who was on Grade Three.

“Sisi, don’t you have more manuals? I see you take out the cultivation manuals from your sleeve. Why not give me some more?” Bird asked after he learned a way of regulating his breath from Siyu. He was a speedy student and always wanted more to upgrade himself as quickly as possible for the times when the monster on his back and was weak.

“Bird, why I did not realize you are so greedy？These days, you have learned out of all my manuals and ate up all my pills for speeding up. And you are such a big belly. If you keep on acting in this way, I cannot afford you,” Siyu complained.

“. . . Oh, I am sorry,” Bird murmured, and went back to sit on his knees on the earth.

“I heard that there is a great college in Xiaoxiang City. Its library kept a huge number of cultivation manuals. We can—” Before Siyu could finish her words, Bird had already taken her arm and dragged her to move ahead.

“You have arrived at the second grade? In half a month? What a genius!” Siyu praised as she was forced to run.

It was Xiaoxiang City of Qiongyue Kingdom.

Qiongyue Kingdom was on the east of Canghun Land, according to the world map of the Canghun Land. And Xiaoxiang City was in the middle of the southern middle area.

Though the external area of the city was surrounded by sand blown by the wind, this city was a rather riotous and busy one.

When the day reached noon, the old red gate opened and Bird and Siyu ran into the city among the crowd.

“You were missing for a long time ten years ago, and the government determined you to be a dead person. Without the ID of the Qiongyue Kingdom, you’ll need to re-register at the registration office.” Siyu smelled a strange odor on him and her nose wrinkled. “I’ll prepare a new suit of clothes for you. You should get cleaned up before going to apply for citizens.h.i.+p.”

 “Okay.” Bird didn’t doubt about this observation about hygiene or appearance.

They hung around on the most successful streets, and finally Siyu stopped before a dress store called “Black and White Simple Suits”.

The guests saw Bird and his monster and ran away from the store. When the boss came out to meet them, he did not show the same surprise as the common citizens had.

He pointed at a board hanging on the store wall. Bird found some discount information on the board for certain sets of suits.

“Boss, good to see you again! He is my friend, so please take out the very finest for him. I will pay you.” Siyu threw a wallet on the top of the reception counter. “As for my needs, you’re already familiar with those.”

The boss took the wallet and led Bird Three to another room for was.h.i.+ng up. He came out and soon brought back a set of new suit and put it on the shelf for Bird.

Then the boss went to Siyu’s room to meet with her.

“His name is Bird Three, an old friend ten years ago. He didn’t know our plan, so you don’t have to worry about him,” Siyu said slowly as she was taking a cup of tea.

The boss nodded when he heard her explanation.

“Sisi, let’s go!” Bird yelled, as he stood outside, already finished with his bath. He had already donned his suit in such a short time.

“Come in and take a rest!” Siyu called him.

“I’d better go to register right now. I am so eager to go to the college,” Bird said, refusing the invite. Soon he disappeared.

Siyu sighed and stood up to leave. Suddenly, she turned back to ask the boss, “How is my friend’s . . . appearance?”

“A handsome and straight one. The best mate for you, my lady,” the boss answered her honestly.

Siyu’s face turned red immediately and she pretended to be angry, and pouted. “Such an ugly one could never be my mate.”

After the two left, the boss opened his right hand and a light of bluish white appeared on his palm. An old face formed in the light. The boss reported to the old one, “Yes, Clan Leader. I will take care of my Lady’s whereabouts.”
