Potion Maker Chapter 26: Sparrows

After a long night of sleep, Will continued on his journey while complaining about the fact that he couldn't make a potion to acquire the ability of an ant to lift many times it's own weight.

While walking through the forest, he suddenly remembered Cecily's closed door cultivation, 'I wonder how much she changed?'

Turning around, Will looked at all the ma.s.sive trees in his surroundings until he found the mountain in the distance.

He decided to head back to the mountain, especially since he doesn't know his way around this world.

As he was walking, Will noticed that his physique was many times better than before, and at this rate he would catch up to the people of this world physique-wise.

It all came to be after that time he woke up in the ravine with no injuries.

With the increase in his defensive abilities, his physique was even closer to those of this world, allowing him to make up for some of his lacking strength.

Pa.s.sing through the many trees, Will walked into a small opening and almost ran into a tree that was covered so thickly in leaves that you couldn't even see it's branches.

"That's a lot of leaves" (AN: That's a lot of damage *puts seal that has flex in it's name on*)

Will listened to the rustling of the trees leave's as he took a short break before continuing.

As he started to walk past the tree, Will heard a shrill chirp echo through the forest as one thousand and one birds appeared out of nowhere.

One thousand of the birds were one meter in length and had a three meter wingspan, the one leading them was two meters in length with a six meter wingspan.

As the birds angrily charged at him, Will's eyes widened in shock as he realized something.

They were sparrows!

Seeing the ma.s.sive size of these sparrows, Will decided to to run as fast as he could.

A couple minutes ago..

Perching on a branch in the thickly leaved tree, sat a sparrow with a six meter wingspan and a two meter body length.

The sparrow, just like any other day just finished it's meal of a fresh deer as it started to clean it's feathers.

The sparrow was enjoying it's day when it suddenly sensed a disturbance.

Looking through the branches, the sparrow could see a young man with dark hair and dark eyes as a feeling of rage went through it.

The sparrow has gained intelligence long ago and has long been able to sense the mana in the surroundings and absorb it.

The sparrow's body fluffed up in rage as it sensed the rejection of the young man below the tree, watching the young man leave, it turned around and released a shrill chirp at the other smaller sparrows in the same tree.

They took flight, and flew after the young man as they let out chirps of rage as they went in for the kill.

After hours of of running, Will managed to kill a few hundred of the sparrows before he escaped.

"What the h.e.l.l was that!?"

Will couldn't help but feel a sense of fear as he thought about those sparrows, one thousand normal sparrows, and on larger sparrow that had human like eyes.

"Normal" is only for the sparrows in the forest, the bigger/stronger a life form is the more resources it needs, so living in the forest where there is more resources is to be expected.

You don't see sparrows like these outside of the forest except in rare occasions, like if one sparrow decided to explore outside of the forest, or if one was tamed.

After escaping, Will had to keep hiding from the other sparrow with human like eyes, because it kept finding him and trying to fight to the death as if they couldn't exist in the same lifetime.

The reaction of the sparrow is the same reaction of any life form in this world if they manage to sense his rejection.

Except those who are against the heavens, they will gladly defy the heavens by helping him.

As Will got closer to the mountain, he decided to hide beneath a bunch of rocks as he pa.s.sed the night making potions in his mental s.p.a.ce.
